I'm pretty sure it not the song itself they hate but mostly the circumstances of his they created the songs and the fact that the songs got super popular like maybe for a lot of them they thought just like curt Conan did is that they thought that they had created way better songs with more feeling heart and mean and way more work out into them.

Speaking from experience. When you first write a song, you are in a certain place mentally. Fast forward 10+ years, you are in a different place. Plus, you've probably improved in all areas. So it's embarrassing to go back to your old stuff. Especially if it was a #1 hit, and have to play it every day for 50 years! Haha! 😆

Actually not surprised about the examples, because most of these people are not entirely agreeable in general. I also believe it's inversely proportional to the obligational feeling toward the fans to play the song live, plus airplay frequency in the heyday, plus recording sales. Really engaged with this content offering. Also, delightfully awkward and super humorous. 👍🏽

The fact that Cherry Pie was their "image" when another really popular song by them - Uncle Tom's Cabin - was SOOO much better. I'm also sure they had many other great tracks! It's a shame.

I loved the alternate versions of the song he did live... like the pre-Richard Cheese lounge version of SLTS he did on Brit show "Top o' the Pops" or when they were either at Reading fest or in Brazil and they intro'd the song with the riff from "More Than A Feeling" and Novoselic sang... classic. Or Kurt would intentionally mess up the guitar for the song, pre-doing-it-bc-of-heroin... Also, WTF is up with their "last" song, "You Know You're Right"?! I swear there is SO MUCH post-production post-Cobain stuff in there that I barely recognize it as a legit "Nirvana" song... It's basically a Foo Fighters song with some lyrics and a few guitar parts that Kurt did in the studio...

Actually, since I've never had to perform Album of Epicness live, I never really got sick of those songs. The only thing that makes me cringe is my vocals on some of those songs. I've worked on my singing a LOT since then. But songs like Gangsta Djent, I'm still super proud of!! 😃

I was a drug addict for many years almost 15 years , back when I got sober about 5 years ago there was a time where I watched a bunch of stevie t videos , and both his guitar playing and comedy, started making me happy again and inspired me to get back into music , I actually started to pick up my guitar again and I put my crappy drumset back together and started to play . I never subscribed to his channel until the other day because one of his videos came up in the feed , tell you the truth I forgot about him for a few years, but I subscribed to you stevie cause I believe in your goal of 3 million subscribers!! And thank you for the inspiration to get back into music, if I could get to Canada I'd jam with you man I'm pretty good at drums actually and maybe someday we could jam out , best part about me is correcting my mistakes and I dont stop drumming if I mess up !!

Once they held a concert and sang "Hotel California" in the beginning, many audience left the spot when the song was over, which made them upset and realized, what these audience knew was only "Hotel California", but not Eagles and the other songs.

To be fair, that is such an amazing song. You would think I would get tired of hearing it, but I still never change the radio station when it's on. They nailed it. Of course they had so many other good songs in that era. Witchy Woman, Take it to the Limit, One of these nights, the long run, in the city, heartache tonight. Another song I'm actually kind of sick of is Take it Easy. I'll take Hotel California over Take it Easy any day. And not surprisingly, I'm a Joe Walsh fan.

Every band has that ONE song they hate playing and funnily enough it's usually always their most massive hit that they just HAVE to play every tour. 😆 I was shocked to find out that Rush hates having to play Tom Sawyer. When I saw them in Atlanta they used that as their opener, so I suppose they were just going ahead and getting it out of the way. Lol
