- I'm excited to finally be posting this much requested "What's In My Bag" series, featuring my purse organization. I've decided to post separate videos, showcasing the three different types/sizes of bags I usually carry. Stay tuned if you're interested in seeing how I pack my medium cross-body style & small evening style bags. I'll also be posting an updated Walking Pharmacy video as well as a purse makeup bag video, if there's any interest in that. Great video! I also love to have lots of "necessities" in my purse. People sometimes laugh or make fun of me for carrying so much in my purse, but guess who they run to when they need something? I love your idea of using smaller bags to organize your purse. I did the same thing, and it works GREAT! No more digging around looking for items, and the bag looks so much more structured! Regarding the weight of the bag, the items are all small, so even with a lot, it's not heavy.
With three little kids, my tote bag is always a mess inside. I had never even thought to put smaller bags inside, organized by category. Great idea, thanks for sharing!!! I might just have a presentable bag sometime soon!
I don't feel alone anymore! I also organize my bags with pouches. I use three pouches. One is my emergency kit - I had to search and search to find all the minis I wanted to carry! Has makeup and pretty much everything you have in your walking pharmacies. One of the other pouches has my earbuds,USB and any chargers I might need. I also carry a small snack pouch. Holds my mints, sugar packets, and any snack bars.
Jen, there is an iPhone app called key chain that scans all your store loyalty cards and stores them so when you go to the store, you just pull them up on your phone and they scan your phone. No more having to carry all those little things around. I love it!
I like to use a lot of little pouches to separate all of my purse contents :)
I'm loving this video. I'm a major handbag/purse fanatic. I love the organiser bags and will definately adopt a few of your ideas. I agree about the receipts, it's so much easier to keep them in one place.

If i go to beach (i live close to it), i only carry make up bag for sunscreen lotions, sarong, ..Frisbee, that small phone case, snacks and keys. Then if i need to go to a market or everywhere just for quick, i only carry that small phone case. Everyone has its own life style, and i love how you organize your life, Jen. =)

great idea about the little pouches! I only have the pouch for the feminine stuff. Looks like I need to get a few more for all the other things rolling around my purse!

Great idea for a video! Looking forward to the rest in this series. Would be interested in seeing a separate video on the cosmetic case. I've been carrying my own version of the "walking pharmacy" for years. At work, I only need to grab that out of my purse to take to the ladies room to freshen up, rather than my whole purse - it's very convenient. I carry a travel toothbrush, travel toothpaste, travel deodorant, face blotting pads, travel size of pain relievers, a few cough drops and mints

what's in my bag: money, keys, gum, lip balm and water. baffles me that people carry so much stuff around! good for you though, ive never seen anyone so amazingly organised.

Thank you for sharing, Jen! I also love to keep my bag organised. I really don't carry that much because a bag can get really heavy in the long run, cause I walk a lot during my errands. So, I keep a small makeup zippered pouch, paper tissues in travel size, car and house keys, wallet, reusable shopping bag, iPhone and a small agenda. When I go shopping, I store my bills and coupons in a dedicated compartment in my wallet and as soon as I get home, I get rid of what I don't need.

Hey Jen, LOVE the vid. Here's a tip for all your loyalty cards that you have on your keyring. There's an iphone app. called CardStar and you can load all your card numbers into it and the app will convert them into barcodes that retailers can scan. It also keeps up with all the deals that the store currently has going on. Thus, one less item in your purse, but you'll always have your loyalty cards. See what you think. Have a great week!

My local grocery store offers bag clips like that for use while shopping. I find them convenient for my reusable bags and sometimes my purse if my cart gets too full. I usually just put my purse in the front of the cart though =).
Love the video and the bag! I think it's funny that your dog treats are in a "kitty" tin.
There's an iPhone/iPad app that you can scan in all those mini merchant cards you keep on a separate ring, called "Key Ring." I also use a small "In a Pikle" bag which is GREAT for organizing all those small purse items.
You have such great taste in, well, everything! That hooky thing is also good for public bathrooms to use over the door if there isn't a hook. I remember when you first bought that LV. It's got to be the nicest LV bag I've ever seen, then and now. You're the only person I've ever seen with one too. I like it the best of all your handbags. Your Disney Dooney is a close 2nd! :-)

Jen, i just wanted to tell you there is an app for the iphone called key ring that is free and you can load all your cards on it and it will load the avaliable store offers. just wanted to let you know so you wouldnt need to carry your card ring and holder in smaller bags!

LOVE this video Jen!!! I have a pencil case and calendar and a note book with my shopping lists in them,I find it easier for me to write out my lists rather than putting them on my phone.

You should download the keyring app - you can scan all those key rings with your iPhone and then you'll always have them.

What about a notebook and pen to write things down, or a planner of some sort? Or do you simply use your iPhone for that? I usually have a small notebook and a couple of pens as well as a monthly planner (I love the Mom's Busy Year weekly/monthly planner by LeapYear Publishing because it's 5"x7" but only 1/2" thick!), and I also always bring a tape measure with me because you never know when you might see a bin or organizer of some sort, and think 'ooh, I wonder if that would fit?'

YES!! Why do people find it necessary to criticise how other peoples money is spent??!!! Drives me nuts!!!! I carry around a 'supermarket' with me on a daily basis due to 4 kids and needing to be organised.
Basically, im simpler than you. I dont carry much stuff like you do because i feel i dont need to and i just love being light without carry anything if i can. If i go to work, i only bring folders depend on how many classes i have (im a teacher), a small phone case which is very fit for a very simple phone, cash and a lip balm, and a folder for stationers, lotion, and my journals..

I always put my purse in the child seat in the grocery cart and then I slip the fabric lock through the handles so noone can run by and take your bag....which has happened to me so that's why I now thread the fabric lock that's on the cart all the time

Did you know there is an app you can have on your phone for your store discount cards? You scan the cards in and then just pull it up on your phone when you check out.. They also automatically send you deals ( eg, I scanned my "micheals" card and normally have a 40% off one item coupon attached to it)
