I just wanted to say that your tip about having a pillow for your back was amazing. I was on a trip from Larne to Cork (in Ireland - that's around 300 miles) and I was on the bus. If I had not seen this video before hand my back would be in shreds. I didn't have a pillow so I used my scarf instead, but it will definitely be in my bag for any long trips from now on.
Ive been watching so many floght videos because i have a roundtrip from Florida to the philippines. Its a 22 hour flights and im actually quite excited becuase i love riding on planes! I just want to make sure im ready for the flight.
Hi Jen. I have watched a few of your videos before my trip to America. Your advice and ideas are brilliant. I especially want to thank you for the 'safety pin on the zip' idea! I would never think to carry one myself. I have attached a couple of them to the zip inside of my handbag. Funnily enough my handbag zip broke and the safety pin saved me! I would have to buy a new handbag otherwise which I didn't want to do. Thank you for all of your advice and great organisational videos. Keep it up!

Im a frequent flyer too and my go-to travel "uniform" is always my matte jersey knit pants and cardigan sets (I have in black, navy, and chocolate brown from J.Jill &Talbots), I add a pop of color with a v-neck T or mock turtle neck, and scraf. And always ballet flats and my cashmere travel set (throw, eye mask, socks) - No buckels, no zippers, no wrinkles. It makes me feel (and Look!) like Im traveling 1st class everytime! even when thats not always the case :)

Most of you have a very very dry skin thats why need lots of moisturizing and very worry having a dry lip. You're not drinking lots of water thats why you have a very dry skin. We ASIAN people are not worried about that, some lipstick and pressppwder are enough for. We dont need to put a lot of lotion. JUST DRINK PLENTY OF WATER EVERYDAY!!!

Thanks for all the great tips, you do take a lot more stuff than I would ever take but I'm impressed with the way you pack it.

I am really excited for the carry on challenge because I was just about to ask you to d a carry-on only video! I am leaving for Argentina Friday for 2 weeks with just carry-on's including marathon gear, even a foam roller! I know you can do it!

Love the blanket/ pillow... I think I might get one for the car. We take 5 hr trips quite often and the little pillow friend might do just the trick, when hubby cranks up the air conditioning. The walking pharmacy looks like a great idea too. Looking forward to the Packing for the three day getaway challenge :D
Have you tried Bonine for motion sickness yet? They sell it near the Dramamine. It's chewable and works so much faster than Dramamine--it's been a totally miracle for me nausea-wise when traveling. It's nearly instant and doesn't cause drowsiness, whereas with Dramamine I always have to wait for it to work and it makes me super sleepy for the next 24 hours.

with the iphone charger thing that stores power you can also get them with a small solar panel which is great on a road trip or even on the plane if your traveling in the day. i use mine when on the train
I too consider the Bose noise-cancelling headphones a necessity on the plane. I cried at the price when I bought them, but I swear, they really ARE the BEST headphones for on a plane! I honestly can't use them off a plane (the "noise-cancelling" feature is actually a sort of white noise, so if it's not noisy enough I get that weird "my ears need to pop" feeling), but I'd never want to use anything else for a flight! :D Glad to learn about the bear; I might actually have to get one for the car!
I know you typically check luggage so you don't have to worry about carry on toiletries, but it would be interesting to see what you'd pack for a carry-on-only trip
Have you seen napwrap? It is personal armrest that helps you relax and sleep with having to worry about sharing and armrest with someone you don't know.
I also take off my shoes in planes and put on my fuzzy slipper socks. I think it's soooo much more comfortable. If I need to use the restroom I don't change into my shoes again, though. I just don't care and even think it's a rather interesting experience to feel the plane's vibration under your feet without hard shoe soles. I imagine it's good to keep your blood circulation going.

Jen, does the blow up pillow work as well for support as when stuffed with the blanket? Great video with helpful tips and new products. Thank you so much for turning me on to Eagle Creek products. I am hooked! I've been using that same EC white bag in my Longchamp purse for the last couple of months. It holds all the smaller items, so I don't have to rummage through the whole bag. Agent Turnberry is adorable, and the Vera Bradley 3-1-1 bag is a great idea. Does it hold as much as a quart size bag? I've seen reviews that have complained they didn't think so.
Does the ginger balm actually work against the queasiness? I sometimes get nauseous on planes and I'd love a solution that isn't dramamine or benadryl, which tend to really knock me out and make me drowsy.

How long on average are you on the plane? I find that what I bring depends on how long the flight is going to be. Are there things you bring on longer flights compared to shorter ones?
Generally, I wear my slipper socks under my slip off shoes for the plan so I don't have to try to put them on when I'm on the plane and in a teeny tiny space.
