Really loved the first Colin McRae dirt, although the ai is way too easy even on pro. I mean rally-cross and land rush where fine and challenging, but rallying not so much also the handling on most cars felt quite arcadey compared to the cars from rally cross category.
I'll never forget the transition from the buggy steering wheel to the McRae R4 ripping on a German stage! Many forgot this game because of how bad it ran on high specs pc back then, but it had all the content you needed for a nice rally game. It just needed a livery editor like on GRID... For me this is THE rally game, hail to the bassy sound of the Toyota Celica :D

Toyota sounds gorgeous, the controls in the game are very sharp... you need to get used to it
@@snaildrivingYeah, especially on asphalt low weight cars like the Swift, its easy to oversteer... Spain still giving me ptsd with all those turns

The only thing it needed was a a Marlboro livery for the 307.. In many regards this game was better than EA WRC (physics aside)
