    This has got to be the most detailed and thorough installation of an air lift bumper on a HMMWV! Great job on attention to details and sharing! 👍👍

    Dude, that inner brace to the pintle hook that you left off is where your pioneer rack latches on to hold it in place.

    Damn, dude. You need to get you some friends. HMMWV parts are heavy. Helping hands are necessary some times. You handled the bumper very well, though. Congrats.

    Why didn't you use the inside angle brackets? ( You removed them when you unbolted the pintle hitch)

    • @jasonhuofficial
      @jasonhuofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chuck, I believe I ended up ditching that because the added thickness of the bumper made it so that the pintle hitch bolt became so short at the end that the hole for the cotter pin was no longer showing. I wanted to be able to stick the pin in there in case the nut backs out.

    PLEASE ...consider using "IMPACT' sockets whenever using an Impact wrench; The Air-lift/tow hooks are to mounted using a castle nut.and wave-washer so enough tension can be applied to prevent the "hook" from flopping (rattle) around. The original "Pioneer Kit" will work with an Air-lift Rear Crossmember, but additional bracketry is required. Forgot to transfer the 2 Pintle Hook diagonal braces to the Air-lift Rear Crossmember.

    I would recommend that you stop using chrome sockets on your impact as they will fail spectacularly and they are not designed for that kind of abuse. I have see someone almost loose an eye. They are thinner than impact sockets and if impact sockets fail they will only expand with the crack that will form as they are of a softer material.
    Other wise a great vid.

    why you are mounting an Airlift bumper ? Do you think on Invaders of China Soldiers;
    and *IF - who is lifting ?? and where you will move ??

    • @HK-qj4im
      @HK-qj4im 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Airlift bumpers provide some rear impact resistance.
      + they look cool.
      For mud flaps you need the bumper.
      And the spare tire carrier.
      He needs the bumper because he is an AMERICAN.
      That is enough.
