- Wow! Talk about a watch that breaks the style mold. . . today we are getting into the full titanium Phoibos Apollo. It comes in 6 awesome colorways, and the titanium is coated in a scratch resistant coating.

They hit that one out of the park! Full titanium, sapphire crystal, and six different colors. You don't see many other watch makers giving you that choice. The NH35 movement is a reliable work horse, but I would pay more if it had a higher beat movement.

Quick suggestion, Marc. You should consider adding the weight in the specs section on your watch listings. You often say them in videos but I always wish weights were listed more often on specs sheets! Cheers.

Those are pretty nice. The colors are a nice option for guys who like more colorful watches. I'm pretty conservative when it comes to watch color schemes, so I'd probably go for one of the two black dial ones.
Excellent Design and color matching, only wish they also offered Quartz, then they would satisfy both watch markets, definitely winners. !!!

Phoibis are one of the few microbrands who get price vs specs right. They don't go overboard on prices. I wouldn't take a titanium watch diving. The ones I did use were a Citizen titanium with hardened coat, and a Seiko with a diashield coat. Both of them got scratched on their very first dives. I used the Citizen a few more times and it's a mess. Worse, you can do nothing about the scratches. So, for easy environments the titanium is great, but when in contact with sea coral, quartz, or mountaineering stay away from titanium. The coatings on these watches is only a few microns thick and it doesn't last. For diving and activity sports, get a stainless steel, it's worth the extra few grams on your wrist. Just my advice from past experience.

They're original, and great colours. I like that they tried something new with the cut-out minute hand and short hour hand, which leave the date visible - but the lumed section on the minute hand is very small. The case looks a little like a rough-cut 6105, but at least it's different.

The case looks very similar to the Dailos Waveform (also titanium), but the bezel on that is poor, too much play.

Lovely watch design, bit to big I think for your wrist Mark,my only moan is how does the octopus logo fit in with the space theme?maybe for once they should have put the astronaut on the dial and crown and caseback as a special edition with phobos printed in letters somewhere.

I do like the blue, the cut outs look very nice. The blacks are nice but you lose a lot of the hands in that face colour. Really nice lume as well

Diving on the moon never looked so beautiful.

The white/mint one is really nice - although I kinda think the minutes hand needs a rethink as it is hard to see. Not digging the rough dial texture on the others - looks a bit unrefined, especially with the hands that look like they were cut out of paper.

"Patina'd" black dial: interesting...

Are you supposed to store watches with their screw down crowns unscrewed?
Some people pull the crown out to stop the movement - in theory letting the watch rest. But the power reserve isn't long enough to really require a manual stop. Just let the power run down while they are not being worn.
Also, having the crown unscrewed could possibly allow moisture into the watch which could cause issues over time. (The odds are low that moisture would get in (unless the crown is unscrewed and also pulled out) but still, no need to go out of your way to unscrew the crown.)

Really don't like the dials on these, with possibly maybe perhaps the white dial. But kudos to Phiobos for doing something pretty different in the seemingly altogether dreary and monotonous dive watch design market

I politely disagree. Not only does the Apollo use a Seiko movement, but it has sapphire (instead of hardlex), a signed crown, and is fully titanium. You simply cannot get a modern titanium Seiko with those features for less. And in my experience, Phoebus has good quality control. The Apollo is absolutely a good value.
