Frank brings a 2022 Lexus F Sport AWD with dynamic handling and we take it for a spin and let you know what we think about it. Special thanks to Mike for lending us his car.
A little rough around the edges; but I most definitely see the potential here, great chemistry and review team! Hopefully you guys will get your hands on a local IS 500. I absolutely loved my 2016 IS 350 FSport, but when Lexus stuffed the V8 into the 2022 it was game over for me. People will knock the car for having the same interior (minus the touchscreen) since the 2014 redesign. Lexus does not believe in the latest and greatest (except when it comes to the Safety Suite), they believe in the Kaizen philosophy of incrementalism. The Lexus IS FSport is the true embodiment of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. If you want a sedate and comfortable daily commuter, it'll give it to you. If you want a Canyon Carver or Mountain Runner, slip it into Sport+ and Manual, and Mr. Hyde will gleefully take you on a journey. 😀 I work from home and have clocked in 13K miles in the year I've had my IS 500. The engine note is *glorious* and the car is fast, but not so fast you're unable to work up and down the gears. I cannot keep my butt out of this thing, it's that good! New subscriber. 👏
It was such a great car, we were surprised at the handling and performance of the IS350 F sport. Hopefully someday we can get our hands on a IS500 or the ISF. Thank you for watching and subscribing!
@@tunedspec1740 Lexus kicked butt with the handling, build quality, and dealer experience. The IS line may not be the fastest when launched Magazine Style or the most luxurious, but everything is done well and most manufacturers cannot claim the same.
I have a 22 es premium I love the car it’s big and quick . I had an is f sport and it was fun to drive a lot smaller but front seats very comfy I’d love to have both 😂.
I would be happy with just a IS300 AWD F Sport before the face-lift but I can't right now. My favorite daily driver, maybe one day. Thank you for watching!
If you are choosing between the two I would go Lexus, Lexus is #1 I'm reliability and BMW is #1 in cost of repairs. BMW is gonna break down more often and cost you a lot more on parts and labor. Unless you got deep pockets I would go Lexus.
@@tunedspec1740 That was exactly what I was thinking about the quality part... I always owned nothing but Japanese cars (Honda and Acuras mainly) due to its reputation of reliability. But wanted to try a German car. When I test drove the BMW 230, I was surprised how well the performance was and the B48 engine is fairly quick. When I test drove the IS350, it felt smooth and even though it was a bigger engine (V6), i felt the B48 4 cylinder engine was quicker. I am assuming because of the added turbo. The interior of the 230 felt more expensive compared IS350 since they have not updated the interior for a long time. I guess it all boils down to do i want performance vs quality, However, I did hear that BMW quality has improved compared to the past. Also one thing to note is BMW has a 3 year free maintenance while lexus has only 1 year. Very hard to decision to choose. But given those factors, would you still pick the IS350?
Yes, I've owned German cars and they are over engineered and over complicated to work on on purpose so you bring them to the dealer, stupidly expensive. Again if you got money to throw around BMW is not so bad but your just paying to say you got a BMW. I used to have a 535I with 55k miles and it needed the transmission computer and it was 4.7K, I'm never buying a BMW again. If you are debating between the Lexus and BMW the choice is easy. Also if you want more performance I would go is500 or RCF. Great cars, often overlooked.
I don't know because it's not my car and we didn't get to drive it in the snow, but I can't imagine it would be bad sense it's AWD. Great car overall. Thank you for watching!
It does well in the snow but mine was a 2016. Was on Continentals and made it to work every snow day just fine. Always thought about lowering it but on snowy days I don’t regret it
I did notice that the screen looks like an iPad, in some cars it does bother me but I didn't mind it on the IS350, it sort of works with the interior. Thank you for watching!
If you remove the Lexus badge on the steering wheel and put a Toyota label I’d say that’s a nice Toyota. For a Lexus brand, they can do better interior wise. Exterior is beautiful though
I have the car. Owned BMWs that cost twice as much (650)…best styling and quality
Love the bulletproof engine and time tested interior
It's a great car, trying to buy one in the near future. Thank you for watching!

Yep, all that with Toyota reliability!
Just curious what do you do for a living?
We are truck drivers for UPS.
I love my IS350. Spectacular LEXUS.
Great video - YeeYEE!

Best design ever made fr
I like the 2017 better but I still like this one.
Great job guys! I just subscribed.
Thank you very much, I appreciate the sub. Thank you for watching!
Would you recommend this OR a 2024 BMW 230 with Msport package?

i also considered the FL5 2024 Honda Civic Type R but the mark up on these cars are crazy..

I would not pay any mark ups on any car and my only issue with the civic is that is a FWD, other that that its a great choice.
I want to see this car Where are you guys located???
We are located in Burlington NJ, we do not own or have the vehicle, it's a friends car. Thank you for watching the video!
Lexus is Lexus the best one for me
Really nice car, hopefully I can buy one soon. Thank you for watching!
how well does it do in the snow?
I don't know because it's not my car and we didn't get to drive it in the snow, but I can't imagine it would be bad sense it's AWD. Great car overall. Thank you for watching!

Good to know! Thank you for sharing and thank you for watching!
Cool video work on the road. Looks good. Just need to find one at a semi reasonable price. Hmm.
Search for a is300 AWD between 2018-2021 and you can find one. Thank you for watching the video! And good luck.
Will Michelin Pilot 4S tires improve grip for this car?
We do not own the car so I couldn't tell you. Thank you for watching!
I love it ❤
Thank you for the support and thank you for watching!
RWD or AWD?
AWD, thanks for watching!
I live in Othello Washington
Looks like they glued an Ipad to the dash...its an ugly look..rest of the car is great
I did notice that the screen looks like an iPad, in some cars it does bother me but I didn't mind it on the IS350, it sort of works with the interior. Thank you for watching!
It is not real leather.
I did not know that, thank you for watching!
The reason to buy the IS is because the rear wheel drive, no need for the awd.
I have a 2023 V8 love driving it everyday
Where do you live? I would need AWD because I live on NJ and I wanna be able to drive it all year.
@tunedspec1740 Washington, I use to have a lowered Honda civic when I live in Minnesota all I need is a set of snow tire and can drive all year round
I can't afford the IS500, if I was getting a RWD lexus IS, I would get the is300 2.0T. But I rather get the 3.5 V6 AWD
If you remove the Lexus badge on the steering wheel and put a Toyota label I’d say that’s a nice Toyota. For a Lexus brand, they can do better interior wise. Exterior is beautiful though
I loved the interior, very fun car! Thanks for watching!
