    "Group Management Meeting." I like it! The next time we have one of those where I work, that's what I'm going to call it. I thank you.

    My heart skipped a beat when the lady was sanding the door and it kept bumping against the countertop, I kept thinking get a towel and protect the countertop. I heaved a sigh of relief at 18:28 when a drop cloth finally appeared.

      What I'm curious about is how many hours was spent scraping and sanding that door. I suppose it must have been more of a social exercise than an efficient use of time? A closeup might have rendered that a moot point. I hope the door is ready for paint soon.

    All hands on Deck Grahame with the help all the finishing jobs will be done Yay. Nice you got sheep to munch in the field. I bet that hurt a tad when you got your fingers pinched whilst taking the heater off the wall. Surprising how rot it was behind the window once all the crap was removed from the wall. Nice work Team. The kitchen is Parfait Grahame a job done excellent well done you👏😘

    Love sheep! Of course I love your donkey friend too. You tidied up nicely. Oooh your finger! Funny hearing all the voices in the kitchen - too many cooks in the kitchen haha, but all are working hard. It's so impressive how much work went into building these old lovely homes - thanks to all the people who are restoring them rather than bulldozing. Have much fun together working but do remember to break for a drink and good meal.

      @@OurFrenchHouseRenovation it makes a lot more sense to see the entire room. I was the one who mentioned a faux window painting over the sink. Now it might be more fun to have a mirror to reflect light and what might be going on out the windows when the shutters are open.

    Opening the window and shutters for the first time in over 4 years during the renovation of your 204-year-old French house is truly a momentous occasion. Your dedication to preserving history and restoring its beauty is admirable. It reflects your commitment to craftsmanship and creating a welcoming home filled with stories. And I am a floating village life from Vietnam.

      being able to open that window and let the light in changed the whole room, it's slowly coming back to life, your floating village sounds interesting too many thanks

      Hi Judith, the gap under the window near the island will be turned into a door, and the one near the table should be having a radiator but I'mm think of scraping that idea, as we now have a log burner, so maybe a seat would look good.. thanks

    The kitchen is looking wonderful I didn't realise how big it is, all your hard word has really paid off. An easy solution to the front window [to stop people looking in] is some very French cafe net curtains on a rod, the window will hardly ever be fully opened but you'll have the light. Are you going to continue the lovely panelling under the street window?.

    • @OurFrenchHouseRenovation
      @OurFrenchHouseRenovation  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hi yes thats something we've discussed, the window will have a radiator below it, but that again may change lol thanks

    Grahame, you tidied up the kitchen so nicely and made way for the new dust and dirt you and your friends are producing as the work goes forward. 😂 Getting those windows opened must have been a wonderful milestone. Thanks for the poppies shot, so lovely against the stone.
