Nice running session, I always enjoy a layout with a heritage line! There’s quite a big difference in the WCRC maroon between Bachmann and Accurascale or at least it looks that way on camera. I’m waiting for the Bachmann WCRC Mk1s so will be interesting to see how these are when they arrive
Glad you enjoyed the running session, I was waiting for someone to comment on the colour difference, it's almost as if the bachmann version is a fresh painted coach and the accurascale one looks sun bleached, looking at the real things there does seem to be some a more lighter red but can't say for certain but there is quite a difference between bachmann and accurascale colours, I do with the bachmann ones came with lights considering there a similar price to the Accurascale version, thanks for watching. Tom
Yeah it’s difficult to say which is accurate to real life as there will be variances depending on when it was painted. It will be interesting to see if Accurascale release a WCRC class 37 in the future and what shade of red that will be if they do.
@anthonymizen9095 I won't be surprised if they do one, I haven't had an accurascale loco yet I was a bit put of with the amount of motors that seem to fail, my older bachmann ones have been pretty reliable but I might invest in a newer model one day
I was disappointed that no steam engines ran in the night-time shots. Steam engines run at night in real life sometimes. It's so much more magical to hear a steam engine's whistle and sharp bark, echoing in the drizzling darkness. There's a new video coming up on my channel. My new Rapido Hunslet saddle tank engine, Thorne No. 1, is running at night with a pair of 6-wheeled LNER Teak coaches with interior lights showing, at the beginning. At the end, renamed Becky, she runs with a short goods train. Her firebox glow is bright. Steam at Night Is an enthusiast's delight.
Don't worry I'll have steam night scenes next time, I did film city of Bradford but the quality wasn't good enough so I had to leave it out, I'll keep an eye out for your video 👍
Layout looks great day and night.
