After Clanfolk this was the other game I hoped you would revisit and here you are! Already you've also become acquainted with the polecats so I don't even need to drop a hint to keep an eye out on the wildlife list. I'm really looking forward to you relearning the game and encountering all the changes made since your last playthrough.
Also I believe that in Lone Wolf the dog comes pre-trained, you should be able to tell him to give you a helping paw in the Overview tab straight away
May Frostgrave be the final resting place of only your enemies
What glorious sight the return of this series is. Loved Woven Tales dearly and seeing all the progress the game has made since then I can barely imagine how exciting this new adventure is going to be?

I'm glad this series is back. We concurred the lands for the castle, and now we're gonna live like Vikings in the cold
First two days, it is best to focus on picking up twigs from the ground to build the wicker floor for the storage:
Declare the storage pile area, large enough to hold all your belongings, and prepare for the first Marauder Attack and for Spring.
Find a small pile of brances, zoom out as far as you can and doubleclick on the branches to select all twigs in view and Allow them.
Set all your starting equipment to Allow and set Haul to Priority 1.
Once enough twigs are collected, assign the work order Wicker Floor to cover the stockpile area and set Construction to priority 1 and Haul to Priority 2.
Set about 8 grass for harvest and about 6 trees for cutting and set Harvest and Cut Plants to Priority 1 and Construction to Priority 3.
While the trees and straw are being cut, assign the blueprint to build two walls either side of the storage pile, plus some space for your bedroll, and a roof on top. You can also use this time to look for animal carcasses on the map, there should be at least 1 dead doe laying around you can collect to fill your food pouch.
After the roof is built, build the final two walls and a door to prevent wild beasts from eating your food and you can relax a little bit and mix your cutting trees and building two bedrooms. One bedroom needs to be large enough for the research bench, the other large enough to contain butcher table and camp fire.
Build a tower with stair or ladder locked inside behind a door before the second settler comes for your marksman to fight off the 2 enemies chasing them. Always try to kill the enemey archer before killing the marauder to get a second bow.
You will get your second settler around day 6-8, set one of the two to exclusively research at the latest on start of day 10 so you can set up your farm and start growing right on day 1 of Spring. Farming needs Priority 2 for one character and Cooking Priority 2 the other settler, Medicine and Convalencence at Priority 1 for both, all other tasks between Priority 3 and 5.
Oh thank goodness, a series where I won't have to pull out a comedy translator for each comment...
Glad to see this game back on the channel, and definitely looking forward to all the new additions and decorating. Will you be making a fort-like homestead where everything is internal, like a castle, or one where there are multiple buildings inside a palisade, like a town or city? Or both, with the village containing farmers huts and fields and other basic homes on one side of the gorge and a drawbridge across it leading to a castle filled with rooms, workshops storerooms, shrines, etc? Time will tell.
Either way, our Frostgrave great!
We'll likely see how the settlement progresses, I have no specific plans as yet, I like to let it develop organically :)
This game is honestly so fun to watch you play. I like the craziness that Rimworld can get up to at times, but this game brings out a level of excitement from you that really shines thru how you play it. So glad to see it back.

Remember that no settler will convalesce unless they need to - and when they need to they Really need to.
Likewise, no settler will tend unless someone Really needs tending. So - you can safely leave everyone on priority 1 for Tend and Convalesce and it won't affect their other priorities unless someone actually does need to do one or other of those things.
Leaping ahead to stages you haven't reached yet - in watching many people's videos I've noticed that a whole lot of players don't know how to use merlons correctly, so to forstall that here's how:
Place floor on top of walls and hang the merlons off the outside edge of those floors. That gives all the protection and allows your archers to shoot straight down on attackers if necessary, and it also enables your defenders to move freely around your defences.
If you know this already then great - if you didn't it'll make your defences considerably more effective.

TIP: To make animals haul, go to the overview menu and find your dog there. Click the box marked HAUL, and your dog will begin hauling for you.
Side notes: The dog is slow to realize when something needs to be hauled, but it's run speed more than makes up for the thinking time.
The dog will always prioritize hauling, even when you have pest control and battling on.( fairly certain this is a bug) If you need backup, be sure to temporarily disable hauling.
I would recommend breeding dogs to save your settlers time hauling, if you have 1 dog per settler you can basically just turn hauling off for your settlers.
Taming larger animals means that they can haul more in one go, ie Asses can lift MUCH more than a dog, however will run slower.
Cats are the only animals that can go up and down ladders, so if you need your animals to haul to a specific floor make sure its accessible.

You have Barley right beside your house, harvest it before the snow kills it. Also, try to get 5 of each seed type from the merchant. Set up a 5 tile farm for each plant type that can be grown to go to seed.. That will slow down food production a bit, but will secure it in the long run.

Around 06:00 Did you know you can put Words into the Seed instead of numbers? I found that , and/or using a set numerical series, helps making similar map seeds even for different scales on new games.
42:30 Did you know that Fireplaces, Ovens, Stoves, and pretty much any Heat source, _bleeds_ into rooms above, below and next to one another? How much depends on Insulation level of the walls.
