Good little video. Not a Mini owner myself(awaits slaggings) but interested to know the Rover 'ECU'(?) on the R/H side of the engine is that their as this is a MPI fitted engine by any chance?
Malcolm Young hey mate, it’s an SPI, I actually prefer spi’s over carb models. Not a lot of love for them in the mini scene but they are less hassle imo.
No no this is just a quick fix to a tired looking engine, you would have to remove the engine to paint the entire block! The paint I’ve used is Halfords engine enamel and I can’t say I’ve noticed any cracks tbh.

Just doing this exact job on mine after watching this. What did you do to the brake servo to make it shine?

Can I check if the back of engine block is painted ?? Is it just only the front ? And will the paint crack ?
