Another nice and useful tut. Thank you Paul! Crocoblock would need tons of video like that as they are not really good with documentation. You make our lives much easier :-)

Thank you for your tutorials! Here's an idea of a potentially popular tutorial that I imagine wouldn't be difficult for you to figure out: Custom Query that pulls products by IDs according to a meta key value inside a blog post. To include a listing of items mentioned in each blog post. For example, in one blog post it would pull: 132, 146, 285. In another 146, 305, 140. etc

Hi Paul, Thanks for the work you do. I just watched your TH-cam review of Ele Pro 3.3. Your very honest and courageous review highlighting your being underwhelmed, (I totally agree) is so refreshing. Lead balloon. lol, only in the wallet, and prolly only yours.
Ele Pro resting on their laurels for sure, and for shame after the recent pricing gouge.
I'm sure when they viewed this and other very enthusiastic response to some other developments in the field, they must have muttered, 'Paul's going to rake us over the
    'shiny widget pile' for 3.3!'
Well done. Much respect for your honesty..

It really opens up tons of new and improved options. Regarding that Custom Query is above normal Post Query options and just ignore them, I think it is on purpose like that. I guess if you want to tweak the results some more you have to go Query Builder again and tweak it there, just like in the Glossary option.

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

You're right, but it would also be pretty cool if you could build base queries and then augment them on the specific listing page. Just imagine how powerful that could be. ;)
On a different note, I think they need to include a preview option in the Query Builder section to check your results. Just a simple database result pop-up that shows a table of returned results would certainly improve the user experience and avoid the frustration of round-tripping to see what you may have to change in your Query if you don't get the results you envisaged.

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@WPTuts Yes, of course, it will be very powerful. But, maybe @crocoblock wants to distinguish a complex Query Builder from a simple one you can create with the "normal" Post Query or Taxonomy or User Query. In the end, we have to wait and see :)

As a very distilled summary, Jet Engine Queries allow you to create highly customised loops, beyond what can be achieved using Elementor Archive templates. Is that correct?

Thanks for the info Paul. The main issue is how to make a bit more complex frontend design & functionality (like for SAAS for example) to display the data easily (ajax, charts, data manipulation, etc. - not just as listed post types), and maybe without relying necessarily on Elementor...

    • @stephenzhao9773

Front design is up to you to brainstorm. Gutenberg Full Site Editing v1 is coming with WP 5.8 in July 20th, v2 (WP 5.9) will be released in December. I pretty like it. After then, we can ditch Elementor and all other page builders forever.

Such a powerful tool ..yet it seems still impossible to order/sort posts by product attributes.
You can populate and filter posts by product attributes ..but cannot order by pa.
This is so peculiar ..as product attributes are a key feature for setting up an ecommerce site ..+ it empowers end user searches.
Any advise how this could be done..?

Hello there. You are one of my favourite TH-camr.
I can see you are quite master of croco blocks now.
Here is some confusion I have let's see if you can help or if possible please make tutorial about this as I am sure most of people confused like me.
On the jet appointment plugin everyone makes 2 types of costume post type. 1 provider, 2 services.
    But here is my question.
I am an accountant so I am the only provider so what I mean is that I don't want to add 2 types of custom post type. Instead I only wants to add my services. So how will it work. Where the form will get connected if I don't add any providers.
See like most of the businesses you visit you can book their services you don't see any providers because their business is the provider.
I hope you get my point. And it will be nice of you if you either make a tutorial or just answer me here. Many thanks
Take care. Can't wait to see your another amazing video.

    Hi Paul, all right?
Hello my friend, I'm new here on the channel, I liked your videos, because I'm from Brazil, I can still understand a little because of the language.
See if you can help me... I'm making a website, which has 2 CPTS, one is Clients, and the other is Associate..
however the user himself will register in the Associated CPT, and I made a relationship between the two CPT's, where the Associate can have many clients...(one to Many) so far this is correct right?
however, in the CPT of clients, it is I myself who will register a new client through the back-end and within the cpt of client I can register the client the way I want, but just below the cpt of clients, I can relate to which one associate I want this customer to go! in "parent associates"
but how do I make it appear on the front with dynamic table, for each associate? (I made the query) of the table builder just right (when I put it in the Elementor, the table with the registered customers appears, but as I registered a customer for each associate setting the relations inside the customer cpt, the table even appears, but all appear at once) I want all the clients of user A to appear, for example....
in short, I want you to display a table on the Associate's panel with their respective customers that I register in the back end. (I want it to appear in (dynamic table builder)
    can you help me?

Stupid whaha ´would like to see that the other queries still work´ ......NO because that is the use of the custom query. If you want other changes you have to adjust the custom query. How would you make that work, first running one query and then where should the results be interpreted after wich the other front-end queries run??
