In Animal Crossing New Horizons, there are 8 different species of flowers: Roses, Tulips, Mums, Windflowers, Hyacinths, Lillies, Cosmos, and Pansies. Within each of those species, there are at least 3 different hybrid colors made by cross-breeding them. There are over 25 hybrid recipes shown in the video, but that's not the only way of getting them in the game - keep in mind that different recipes may net the same hybrid result. I can’t confirm, but on Japanese wikis, they say crossing 2 purebred yellow mums with each other will produce a green one.
theres a few of the og colors that dont do anything, like the orange windflowers and yellow pansies, its kinda weird annoying

It has more to do with how the genetics for this game are not fully understood. This guy doesn't know what hes talking about. He left out a lot of information
@@nickb8755 there was data mining and is now a safe guide on how to crossbreed certain colours. ☺️
Just FYI, if you wait until the "Save complete" message, hit home, change the time, then acknowledge the "Save Complete" message in the game, the time travel process is slightly faster and less painful.

I remember in new leaf when i needed to water a wilted black rose, with a golden watering can, in order for it to become a golden rose.

That's okay, I have an area devoted to just hybrid flower growing on my island, but when I have extra flowers that's becoming overwhelming, I'll randomly plant the extras elsewhere in some crazy randomness 😄 the more flowers the better.

I have a similar story , normaly you start with some flowers on your world and I let them spread whit rain and I did not care about them at all and one day I desided to renovate my world (the 5 stars) and i had to remove them all, it was like 100-150 flowers . It was so anoying . Later (like a year ) and I planted roses to get the blue rose but i abandond it , and i had to do it again ,to end on a good note i have the blue roses (I got it today) and i have 100 golden flowers and a throne . Im planing to get the rest of the hybrids and to buy the 1000000 crown. Have a Good day

This video was recommended to me and I'm really grateful, thank you for making it! ACNH is my first AC game and I've successfully crossbred some flowers, lots of pink, one blue windflower and one blue hyacinth, and some orange ones as well... But this was really useful, thank you! Now I can customise my breeding areas and get rid of the combinations that won't make any new colours, and hopefully I'll be able to get more soon! :D
I appreciate the use of the word “customized” in terms of time-travel. So many people who don’t time travel seem to look down on the people who do. For me, the whole point of Animal Crossing is to be able to play and create however each individual player wants to. It’s okay to play games however you want! It’s a game.
Thats really not the point of AC, the developers themselves said they dont want people to time travel.

I had 1 blue and 1 orange from a mysterie island and they both breed a purple one.

With the windflowers, Ive actually been breeding red + orange and that has been giving me pink windflowers :) so it seems the typical red and white way works as well so theres two ways of getting pink ^_^
i had red next to white for a whole week, and didn't get a single pink flower. I got pink windflowers the first day i put red and orange together.

Augnos I think this dude might be wonky about a lot my white hyacinths made a blue but so did my orange they also made a blue not a purple

Thanks for watching! *Keep in mind that there are dozens of alternative breeding patterns to achieve the same results* - I've found the easiest and best ones and shown them in the video. There's no way I was going to litter the entire video with all physical possibilities. 😅

If you find the rare nook miles island with hybrid flowers and find blue and orange pansies there, you can then cross-pollinate two of the blue ones to get purple pansies as well.

I think there needs to be another party involved to “cheat“. Since animal crossing is a single player game, there is really no question of cheating. I think it needs to be considered that everyone has a different amount of time to devote to the game. Some people may only have 30 to 60 minutes a day. They might need to time travel just to get a fraction as much done as players who have more free time. Otherwise, the game could take years. I have chosen to time travel twice in the three months I have been playing. I had a giant amount of work to do, and needed to get some things demolished so that I could move on. I was so grateful that I could save some time that way. I think those who make the personal choice not to time travel resent others for feeling free to do so, as if it’s a competition. There is no competition. Your island is your own. Your choices, your gain.

I’m really happy they added chrysanthemums! Those are are very unique to see in a AC game, along with hyacinths. I hope they kept carnations!

They spawn every 7 days on cliffs after you get 5 star island. The days do not have to be in order but you HAVE to log in EVERY day. They cannot be plucked or worn.

The logic in color combinations really fell apart about halfway through development didn’t it? Lol. Still super cool.
This is a game, where there are anthropomorphic animals that walk around, and you have a raccoon landlord that gives you a house where you have to pay off an interest free loan, on a deserted island. But the weirdest thing to you are slightly unrealistic flower mechanics?
Mr. Rykes lets not forget about the part that you can understand the animals and they can understand you because they speak English fluently.
I got a pink rose from red roses and no white ones were around. I'm incredibly confused but I won't question it because I actually wanted one anyway
If you end up getting red roses from a mix of red and white, you can end up getting pink from just the red ones
not a name As confusing (yet realistic) as it is, genes actually play a role in ACNH flower breeding. What likely happened was that your red roses carried a recessive allele that transferred by chance to create a pink one
Shini so if I plant new red roses seeds I have a bigger chance for black roses? I got pink ones as well 😔

Julesclues I think so. Red rose seeds (from Nook’s) all have homozygous dominant alleles (RR), which gives a 25% (found from data mining) chance of getting black roses, which also have RR alleles

The one true blob Yes, but these combinations still work because the genetic required for certain hybrids are in these combinations. So this video since still partially correct.
This is only valid for blue roses, purple pansys, and the pure breed flowers. Other than that this is a good video for flowers.

😂 I just got frustrated with the overflows and dug them up and sold them all! 😂 I had no clue how the random colors had been hybridized! Had ne some "special" red roses... and those ugly orange roses and hyacinths were actually a "good thing"! well, dang! Now that I know.. I think I'll create a dedicated area from scratch so I can nab the special red roses instead of thinking they're just more of my native irritant... 😁

It's called time skipping most my call it cheating and that is why he calls it customized gameplay instead of time skipping. Time skipping is changing your clock to get advantage on better things

I had read that the Special Red or Hybrid red came from Purple and Orange. You said Orange and White. Does it matter which one?
I still got those red ones by breeding purple and orange so I guess it works too or he is lying about orange with white
So wait, do you need to plant the flower combos diagonally to breed the new ones, or do they also breed if you place them right next to eachother? Just don't wanna waste my time by planting in the wrong spot 😭
AngelTM they can breed either way in my experience 😄try it and see what you prefer!
Yeah I planted mine right next to each other and they make hybrids
The diagonal way is the most effective, because you have so many flowers intersecting to have a better chance to get a flower to spawn. Do whatever you feel is good tho!
