I added this very screen (but in clear) to my new rebel yesterday. I can completely agree with you statement about it being the "must have" screen, the mount alone is far superior to other brands.
what year is your bike. I really dont like highway riding, and I am thinking it is because I have no windscreen.
I have a 2022 Rebel 500 and recently installed the Puig "Naked" version of the windscreen. The wind now hits me in the head area but I too think it's a good trade-off from getting me in the chest area. I also like the look of my smoke colored screen. Your review is pretty much spot on. I installed the Puig ''Naked'' version too on my Triumph Street Twin, Wind on the chest is gone but I get a lot of wind buffeting around my head which is really annoying IMO I can't even hear the Engine.
great video! I used to live in San Diego as well, now I'm in Nashville and have a rebel 300 for back country roads. If i were still in California I'd definitely need the 500 people are crazy there in terms of speed

Nice bike man. Windshield is clean. I just ordered one for my 2015 yamaha bolt. I will take the extra helmet wind over the wind hitting my chest and trying to push me off... Great review. I was hoping you would do a 360 of the bike to see what it looks like but thats okay. Thx
WELL ITS BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE THIS VIDEO RECORDING BUT LET ME SAY THIS I DID BUY A WINDSHIELD WHICH I WILL INSTALL SOON. I GUESS IT WILL HELP ME WITH THE STRONG WIND IN CERTAIN ROAD AREA OF MIAMI FLORIDA SO THANKS FOR THE ADVICE.
I have a 2021 RE Meteor 350 here in San Diego and looking for a windscreen that clears the helmet. Form is important but should always follow function.
I just purchased a Honda CMX Rebel 300, and really like the look of the Puig windscreen, but every website that I look at, says they don't fit my bike. I'm not sure whether to try them anyway. They should be universal mount to the bikes I guess?

So I know this is an old vid..but I've just come across it :) .. New rider..and I got a used 2021 Rebel 300 (wanted the 500)..I did get the 'Tinted' (light smoke?).installed myself...and at 5'4 it definitely is nice not hitting my chest, but the buffering on the top of my helmet I'm trying to tell myself it's worth it :)... hubby had me use some ear plugs, and that seemed to help some. - 2yrs later, do you still have the bike and what do you think?
I no longer have the Rebel but I’m 6ft so the wind moved over my shoulders at least. You can always tuck down a little bit to get that extra bit of wind over the helmet completely
Got my windshield today but they send my the wrong color i order Puig 9462H and i got 9462 F very dark want to aks you the gear indicator where dis you buy it ???
It was on the bike when I bought it but you can find them on EBay and Amazon. It plugs into the diagnostic port so no soldering required

I am looking to get one of these for my brand new 2022 rebel 300 how did you change the mirrors to the bottom? I feel that on top they vibrate too much and are blurry to see

Just bought a 500se. Love the bike but the wind is really bad above 60. I like the look of that screen. I really would like to keep the stock headlight cowl. It looks really nice. Its a 2021 model. Would that screen fit with the stock cowl setup?
Most likely wouldn't work with both in place.
What is the measurement, top to bottom, and left to right of the opening for the headlight. Looks like it might be big enough for the 500se cowling. I suppose it could even be enlarged a bit if necessary.
@@dalegarrard9446 I have a 2021 SE model with the cowl and I've been looking a windshield as well because the wind noise in/on my Shoei RF-SR is making my tinnitus much worse and driving me insane. I can feel the cowl directing wind starting right at the bottom of my helmet and up. I'm 5'7".
I have found 3 Puigs that use a universal handlebar mount system rather than using the triple tree pinch bolt attachments. This other mounting gives flexibility in placing the windshield. Check out Puig Windshield New Generation Touring, Windshield New Generation Sport and Windshield Trend. I've seen a few places guys liking shield by Slipstream that also uses an adjustable handle bar mount. Trying to decide which of the three will work best and bum me out the least looking at. :-)

I bought this one on Revzilla and the bolts it came with stripped the grooves first try. Did you guys get shiddy bolts/screws?

Yes it will. Some people have even ran the honda cowl with it but that looks weird in my opinion. Otherwise the mounting is all the same. The difference is the newer LED Headlight on you year will not fill as much of the cutout as my 2017 does.
what size zbars would fit that using the stock cables?
I think 4" is the max for the stock cables
How did you flip your mirrors? I heard there’s some cheap brackets out there to stay away from. What do you think of yours and where did you buy?
I bought the cheap ones on eBay. They’re linked in the video I posted on the flipped mirror mod.

Do you know the brand of your sissy bar? I thought you said it was on your bike when you got it.
It was passed onto me from a guy who sold me extra side panels. I did some googling and ended up finding it some time ago. It was made by a company who doesn't produce them for sale anymore. American made, can't remember the brand.

Why do you ride with the full headlight on?It blinds other people.Use your dipped headlight.
During the day, I would rather annoy a car driver a bit with my bright headlight, than have him run me over because he didn’t see me. If I’m annoying you a bit, then you have not only seen me, but you have noticed me.

In the State of Massachusetts riders are taught to use high beam at all times of daytime riding. During my road test exam it was a question asked by my inspector. I answered "high beams" and he answered, "Correct."
This may have been informative. However doing the entire presentation with all the background wind noise is just stupid.
