Good faith criticism is used in every creative field. Wanting to provide feedback to an artist (especially recent K-pop groups and global groups) who are trying to reach the largest market they can shouldn’t be seen as hate.

I have a theory as to why they are so mad.
Althought Armys are not hybe stans, Hybe stans are armys what i mean is that a lot of hybe stans happen to be armys even though A huge amount of Armys don't particularly care for Hybe. One of the main weapons of attacks against other kpop groups and particularly Blackpink was lyrics. They claimed that BTS talked about important issues in their songs and although they weren't wrong, it was a bullying tactic and a weapon that got a little rusty once BTS released the English trilogy(cute songs but light on lyrics). This issue of lyrics have also been extended to the rest of hybe artists(as in all hybe artists just have better lyrics than everyone else on the kpop industry) Blackpink have been demeaned because a lot of their lyrics was basically flexing (i think this isn't true and blackpink has some heartfelt songs as well) so to see someone calling Lisa Shakespeare(even though he was being sarcastic) enrages them because in their world, there is no way Blackpink can beat BTS at anything

    • @jjongssaeng

@@mitchierainbow7353 armys are hybe stans. i'm someone who ults bts and was active in the twitter fandom until last month. recently they've proved that they're hybe stans. they hate newjeans for "betraying" hybe. they also believe bts built the hybe building from the ground up when it's actually just a rented building that each hybe subsidiary pays rent to occupy. ofc bts are the reason behind why hybe was able to form in the first place. but many armys forget that bts don't need hybe. hybe needs them.

Okay as an army, more specifically a twitter army, I think I can tell you a bit more about the context you ended up falling into.
That account is what we call on army twitter a “shooter” which is someone who just goes on the app to fight in fanwars: they engage with antis, they make horrible tweets about other groups and basically make the stanning experience miserable for all their followers.
As an army I’ve definitely seen the worst part of blink twitter, they’re honestly horrible. And I’m sure many blinks have seen the worst of the worst of army twitter.
These fanwars are constantly ongoing and most of us don’t even pay attention to them anymore. They honestly got revived more with Jimin and Lisa releasing music on the same day, which I’m sure was made on purpose by one of the two labels or maybe it was a coincidence bc there wasn’t any big competition in the western releases of that day.
All this to say, don’t worry. Twitter people just love looking for someone to hate on for the day and then they move on. Armys in particular are constantly fighting off hate trains that are joined by many many many fandoms for no reason so many shooters tend to have this mentality of “giving back the same energy”. But, honestly? Most of us are really normal there.
I do gotta say, katseye seems to already have a fandom full of shooters. I’ve already gotten ratioed by them. So I’d be careful around them.
Anyway, keep making videos, the person had to know your channel in the first place to even screen record and post the clips on twitter so clearly they’re watching

kpop twitter is one of the worst echo chambers i have been apart of. i think its ‘peak brainrot’ from sexualising idols & casual porn to wishing death upon people & hating others to performative activism. i have created a new account and recently i have gotten tons of ‘xyz threads’ on my for you again… i always click ‘im not interested in this post’ to get it off from my algorithm. if i want to interact with kpop fans in a serious manner or get genuine nice updates, i either just use the following section on twitter since those tweets are just by the accounts i follow or use reddit or youtube since people are willing to listen to your opinion and exchange thoughts regarding something. since twitter became X, you don’t even necessarily get to communicate with people unless you get a stupid hit tweet or fish for likes under a popular post, it’s just a stupid place.

If you happen to see this, my humble advise is to not bother with people who obviously can't be bothered. Clearly, this person has no intention of adding anything of value to the conversation. Meet people with the same level of energy. If they cant be called up to healthy discourse, don't engage or disengage. But if you do engage, a response video is a great teaching/reflection opportunity for a teachable viewer.

the way all the hate tweets are coming from a very certain fandom who cannot fathom a single member of blackpink receiving a tiny compliment even if it is so obviously sarcastic. they hate blackpink so much that their brains just turn to mush the moment they hear a kind word spoken to them

It’s so tired like they’re not even really a group anymore istg…

I think that tweet shows how hypocritical kpop stans are bc they love to create narratives about what groups deserve to be liked/disliked by rallying other stans around things that arent true or are out of context. Obviously most people will be hypocritical but when its so blatant from the outside, it makes you go "??? maybe you should try to step back..." I've seen twitter mutuals just turn into more angry, insufferable people because they haven't taken a step back, its kinda sad

bro...as someone who is on armytwt I am embarrassed. I never saw this tweet or any replies to it until seeing this video, so that assures me I follow the right people, but the feud between armys and blinks is crazy. some armys will take anything out of context to twist the narrative and pretend kpop stans are all blinks who stan everything blackpink does and secretly hate all hybe groups. this is so dumb

  • @uuwa_09

As a D1 Hater this pisses me off. I hate for fun and that’s that, but these Blinks and Armys make hating annoying. What’s the fun of it? Explore will ya? I just hate people in general. It’s hard to really generalize a fandom so don’t be going around “Armys” or “Blinks” or any fandoms. Cause although your experience with them is harsh, that doesn’t mean they are all bad. That should be common sense. Either you confronted 10,000 bad fans, don’t generalize them if there is 1 good one. It’s easy as that and it’s hard. But I really dislike humans in a grey area of general sense. It’s hard, philosophically, we all experience harshness from groups of people. That’s nature. It’s abundant in our community and the hierarchy of evil fans are usually large fandoms. But I hate not people but the dimwit; dim-minded and insane stupendous actions that spark conflicts that entertain my very essence. I sound evil and sorry. But hating is fun when you know that what you hate is worth hating. Not towards people but towards their experience of hate and what that hate has done to make them do these decisions.
As of the story, I admit, I liked and reposted and almost-ALMOST commented. They played you really well, twisted your words and everything. Well done for Tannie for propaganda and well done for you to clear the air. You can’t really do anything about it anyways. For Tannie, this is a win. They got your attention and got you talking, for you, you won cause you cleared the air. But I’m just here cause I hate the haters who make other haters look bad. And I will admit, it made me feel mad at you…but I did get the context so I had no reason to hate cause I watched your video before that tweet got posted.
For a person who doesn’t know anything, that tweet is everything they needed to hate you. As a Katseye fan, it stung, I’m gonna be honest but I watched your video before that tweet. So I knew context. So in the end, when you hate. Hate with passion and not tomfoolery.
-Sincerely, a Hater who hates for fun. (P.S. Stream Rockstar and Debut🎉)

I sincerely think this is one of the best, most thought-provoking comments I’ve ever read on this channel 😭 I don’t think I’ve ever seriously considered the idea of hating for fun, but it does make a lot of sense in the way you explained it.
I’ve been staring at this for a couple of minutes just admiring how unexpectedly profound it is - the D1 hater introduction caught me off guard haha - I think the answer to misery-sourced hatred is to dive into *why* people experience hate, and to find the fun and joy that can come out of hating things, as you said, that are truly worth being hated

    • @uuwa_09

@@choujimi Well, I am deeply honored to have given you some thought. I do hope the best for you for the upcoming days as this situation burns brightly. Keep it up choujimi.
As for the “why” people are getting hate. It’s quite the obvious. Pride and you could make a video of it however it would be time consuming and kind of out of ordinary but then again, K-pop is not ordinary. It’s human nature, you like something and others like other things. And when other things threaten your passion of likeness, you tend to get out of control. It’s human psychology and philosophy really, I mean. How dare they treat my bias’s photocard so lightly and treat their own bias’s photocard so godly and beautiful? Same thing as a Fandom. Difference in likeness, just toned down in passion.
Sorry to yap really, but this community is full of uneducated haters unlike yours truly. People need to get educated on such. The most basic thing that we were taught is to care for others yet we destroy its message so easily. Most are driven by passion and emotion. In short, how much they love and what they feel after being criticized on what they love. Experiences from those critics also form a cloud of automatic judgement to those groups of critics hence the spark of a blinded hater. So when an individual gets hated on by their love and expression of their fav group, using words that they feel is appropriate as of the time being; not really thinking ahead of what critics may nitpick, that individual’s hate meter is guaranteed by everyone and whichever other fandom is dominant, they automatically see that fandom as “BAD” but that’s not the case. It’s more in-depth but sorry for taking your time😭
      -Sincerely D1 Hater
      (P.S. Hang in there👍)

Once I found a video in Russian TH-cam segment called something like "why newjeans is a flop group/over-hyped/etc". I really like NewJeans and at the time I was sort of insecure about coming to like k-pop, so I decided to watch it. I have gathered my courage to face my mistakes and inability to pick good music and realisation that my music taste is mid and to be nearly destroyed by some good arguments about it. Needless to say my expectations to that video were so high I was nervous - only to hear something like "they got more listeners than blackpink and bts so they are obviously on payola so they are bad". Bruh, I really felt disappointed, because I expected some reasonable critique, debating, proofs, something, at very least, and all I got was click bait. Like, when I was getting ready to watch that video, I came up with better list on what is bad about NewJeans, and I am fan of them.
And everybody in the comment section seemed to be agree with the creator saying stuff like "yeah I knew something wrong with them".
So I get you (in terms of really weird and not thought-trough hate/criticism). Can't believe that twit got 308k views....
    P. S. I really enjoy your videos, you have really good opinions on some matters, and I hope you don't pay too much attention to some internet weirdos, cause it's not really worth anybody's time.
    Thank you for your videos.

This is why every day I am thankful I don't have Twitter😭 Something interesting I think is I see so many people talk about how stans are willing to blindly like songs from popular groups bc it's them (Blackpink and its members, New Jeans) but I feel like VERY few people talk about how the exact opposite is also true and this is a perfect example. Not everyone is going to be a fan of Rockstar and thats fine, but before I listened to it I saw so many people talking about how terrible it was. Then when I actually listened to it I was suprised how much hate it was getting (I really like it honestly) and I was like huh I think some people just really don't like Lisa because this is not that bad???
