What a weird final. Only Caity really surfed a solid "heat". Courtney was probably the better surfer but just got lost in celebration of that beautiful 9 point ride...
Listen if you really look and simmers turns critical knifing on rail. In critical parts of the wave. She’s more comparable to the guys surfing. She’s got way more style and flow than any other girls.
i often wonder if in the finals the Judges don't try and keep scores close to keep the tension going. Sadly that extra point Caity didn't deserve cost Courtney the win

Id be more critical of Courtney who couldnt back up a 9 with anything meaningful in a 40 minute head...
