I’m not going to lie, I am amazed how well it works considering the differences in the production’s aspects of it. Thanks for watching it is truly appreciated.
Smoothest pump shotgun ever made.. even smoother than the famous Remington model 31. I love the model 20.. own 3. Never had a single problem with them. You seem to have a kinda junky one
I’m not going to split hairs on this. It is hard to complain about the Model 20 for its price. I’ve got a couple of more videos in the works on a couple of rare High Standard shotguns you may enjoy. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
I do have a welder and do some of my own repairs when they are within my skill level. When they are critical I go to my local gunsmith. He currently is doing a .45 with a cracked frame for me. That one was a bit over my head.
Compare ur Higgins to an High Standard marked shotgun. U will see the night and day difference. JCH was big on contracting firearms manufactured on the cheapest the manufacturer could/would go. The HS marked guns were/are supurebe. WW would not lower the quality of their 30 30 lever....That's how the Ranger line came about.
@@PaulCavanaugh1 All good. I’m actually taking my model 20 out in the morning and get after some Mallards and Widgeons over decoys. Can’t wait. Thanks again
Nice! I have never been bird hunting before of a sort. It’s a bucket list item.
All that about “quality” and “machining” and “hand fitting”but still theJC Higgins is still a smoother operating shotgun. Thanks for posting this.

Improper dissasembly/assembly fractured the "ears" off. The manual says it's best to disassemble only when neccessary.
Yes, whoever owned the gun before I acquired it must have broke them. It’s why I bought it in an auction for so little.
I have the same shotgun; the action is slick!
Do you have access to a welder for repairs?

Good information. I can see how Sears would have High Standard do that. Thanks for commenting.
"After you pull the trigger you should not be able to pull slide back”. Are you sure about that?
LOL, I caught that and was going to add a text box stating I was wrong. But then I figured you guys would know what I meant.

@@guaporeturns9472good hunting!
@@PaulCavanaugh1Got 3 Mallards
You are short chucking when pumping the action. Slow down and make complete pumps.
@@davidwhite5858 thank you for the advice. I will try that next time. Thanks for watching!
