A super honest and thoughtful review, thank you! I own a lot of products from LE and I use them daily. I was never much of a lipstick wearer (too fussy, strong smells, ugly wear down ...) and fell in love with Velvet Ribbon when she launched her first three shades. For me it is about the colours which work surprisingly well on my fair to medium cool toned skin. I can wear orange reds from her as well as really dark colours, it is like magic and I think she is really good with undertones. Love the glosses and you are right the new balm formula is easier to use. I use her eyeshadows daily and adore them. The products I do not love too much are the Lucent lipsticks which feel drying to me and the liquid eyeshadows (can't recall the name). All the other products I purchased are simply great, I enjoy the packaging which is elegant, sturdy and interesting. There might be similiar products out there but dupes never satisfied me. Her products get used up and therefore I don't mind the pricepoint.
These look great on you! I'm a huge LE fan - like you said, she's such a talent and the way she curates her products is simply incredible. Do I need these? Probably not. Do I want them? Of course ;)
I picked up Epinoui and Metropolis and love them both. I also love how quickly Lisa Eldridge ships. I received my package within two or three days. The one thing I don’t love is when I first put these on there is a smell of the ingredients (I don’t know how to describe it. It isn’t medicinal.) But you don’t smell or taste it once it is on the lips, so I grin and bear it for a few seconds because it makes my lips feel amazing and they stay soft for hours and hours. I like the effect of this one the best of all of the ones I’ve tried and like you, I have at least 25 brands.
I am so interested in this comment. I have another comment that I just read that talked about the fact that she could taste hers. When mine came fresh out of the box I could neither smell nor taste them and I’m very sensitive to that so I’m wondering if we’re having some production issues here and if we’re gonna hear more about this.
Mine doesn't taste like anything. I read on someone else's vidoe that people had an unpleasant taste to theirs and they hated. They said they reached out to Lisa's customer service and were advised that vanilla is used for the taste, but sometimes its overpowered by the smell of the waxes. It seems that there are batch variations. Or it could be shade dependent. But essentially not enough vanilla to counteract the other ingredients!
Hi Rebecca! I was looking forward to watching you try these! My hobby is also intellectualising make up and I agree that the storytelling is part of the ‘experience’! I picked up Meet Cute. I like the formula but don’t love it. It reminds me mostly of the Gucci balm. I think I just prefer mine to be more thick and a bit more glossy as I find that more luxurious. My all time favourite texture is the Pat McGrath Lip Fetish Balm Divinyl Lip Shine - I think the colours suit me more too. A texture that’s thicker still is the Romand glasting melting balm. But I know why people will like these - they are chic and refined as always with Lisa! 😊
Metropolis gives me Clinique black honey vibes, which I have in the sticker and the gloss. Did I need this metropolis (and also epanouie)? No but I got them as soon as they launched. I think they arrive today and I can’t wait to use them. I like to use these over a stain if I want a more lasting color from them. These all look great on you Rebecca!
It’s funny because I really love black honey as well and I think depending upon the form that black honey is in, gloss etc., this is a little bit less pigmented. So it’s like a little bit of a more muted Clinique, if that makes sense.
I ❤ LE. Her style, makeup and sophistication she brings with what she makes. She is an artist. I have almost everything from her makeup. I have a look at the balm lipstick and I thought these would be great for winter when your lips get dry. And how to they compare to Victoria Beckham lipsticks as I love these very much. I’ll probably buy red curve when it gets cooler. I have to get through my opened lipsticks. The French sounding lip colour looks great on you Rebecca!
@@sunnysummer342 oh thank you for responding - I have low contrast features so I kind off rely on a pop of a lipstick to give me some definition… so some balms can look like nothing and don’t do me any favors - VB lippes look so lux, but I wasn’t sure about opacity - I love the idea of the feel of balm and look of lipstick -- the LE luscent ones are kind of like that, depending on color - I’m not sure about these baume ones, but I’ll know soon - and I’ll probably get a VB one now, maybe some sale time - thank you again for the recommend :)
The Victoria Beckham beauty lipsticks are definitely a lipstick. They are comfy but they are pigmented and provide coverage. This one is much more of a gloss balm equivalent to YSL or any of those others 🙂 🤗
@sunnysummer Just had to jump in to say the VBB are also my favourite lipstick of all time! I agree with Rebecca that VBB lipsticks are more of a lipstick with a richer colours and the LE balms are more sheer and lighter weight in comparison.
Love the YSL, colors and sent. I've used mine completely & need to repurchase. My Lisa baume hasn't arrived yet, but... from the videos it seems like they're a smoother application and the colors look pretty (I ordered meet cute & metropolis). Very excited to try. I do think a lot of the balm lipstick is over priced, but it feels the best. TY for another great video!
I like these and the colors are great. Always gonna try Queen Lisa’s new releases! But…the Luxuriously Lucent formula has my heart. It feels unique…lightweight, comfortable, makes my lips look and feel better after it wears down. Just magic for me and my preferences. Also, Red Curve looks so gorgeous on you!!!
This is my favorite lip product/formula. For my lifestyle and my very dry lips! I also love a red that I can put on messily! Years ago I had a warm red lip balm type lippie from Lancôme that I loved. Sadly, it was limited edition. I’m so happy that this formula is so popular!!
Love a good lippie video!! 💄💋❤️ Vin happens to be my favorite French word 🍷 that & croissant 🥐❤️🥰 You have got to tell me please the shade of the Rabanne you showed...the plum!! 💜💜
I ordered epanoiu and red curve. I love a sheer red. NARS manhunt was a huge favorite and I was so sad when it was discontinued. I don’t expect red curve to fill the manhunt hole as totally different undertones but also love warm reds/corals. And red curve is gorgeous on you!
I’m a fan of her products and what I have work well for me. Not sure if I’ll be getting this new lip baume though as I have very similar type lippies and only 1 face 😁.
I ❤❤❤ these...to me, they are way more hydrating than any other lippies from this category. Been wearing it for 3 days now and really feel my lips are so good condition...so for me the winner is the lip care
My favourite in this category is the Guerlain balms and the KissKiss shiny lipsticks, which are sheer and beautiful. Thank you for this review, Rebecca!
I got red curve, didn't love the colour initially. I did however wear it again with more warm tones in clothing and it worked better We are skin shade twins approximately but I'm a blue red lady. I layered it today with dior lip oil but also dior lip maximiser later. In all 3 cases it works. Its an easy product. I'm a LE devotee, this is an okayish release for me. I might grow to like it. I don't own any ysl lip products. Too confusing
I’m here just to see you my friend ! I’m so in love of ysl can’t cheat on those I’m in love lol 😂 LE is beautiful but just hear for the tea 🫖, thank you for this review my friend ❤
They look fine, nothing out of this world. If I want to get them I have to buy online and I will not do it. I love the lip balms from Guerlain, Sisley and Hermes. I don’t need more and all the lip balms I like I can get them from the store. Thanks for sharing!🙂
I love your approach with these since it is crazy how many options are out there. I had just watched another video last night on these and simply stated they really liked them, colors etc. I appreciate your thoughtfulness going beyond color and feel but thinking about how they wear, how they compare. I struggle with LE because I want to put my toe in the water with her products, sooo much hype even still about the skin tint. I was torn btw hers and Burberry which I decided neighter and ordered Sweed which is nice but too new to say and still have but haven’t used yet Ciele. My favorite still is the Chanel water tint, the first one and I do like the Covergirl dupe because with both, you use only a little ( which is not what people who didn’t like did) and just give a very slight blur of color and moisturizer which feels so good during the warm weather. Sorry went off topic… Back to these, the red curve looks great on you as the first one. I thought I’d like the metropolis too but to me it’s meh. I’m not usually a red girl because I guess I don’t go that bold. But this might work if I want to try. I was also worried that might be too orange but doesn’t look like that on you. I really like the Guerlian and Ysl and Chantecaille 🤦🏼♀️. I really liked the look of Rabanne that you demo here. I actually had been looking at a few colors on Ulta the other day. Saved them but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Wow this was a long one today but I guess you stumbled onto something here with me anyway… so many choices which I do love but like I said to you about blushes, maybe go to do a ranking for 2024🤔
I enjoyed every word of your comment. I thought it was super informative and interesting. And I agree entirely. And you know I am not sold on her skin tint. I just didn’t think there was enough there to make it worthwhile for the price. And there’s so much competition. Thank you so so much also for your kind compliment. I really am trying to lead and make this more of a magazine style channel rather than it looking like a hobby channel. With so many people just giving kind of an unfounded opinion, if I may be so forward.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I love that idea, sharing ideas, sponsored by you but others adding is so great… Now about the Rabanne lipstick-shine, what’s the color and skinny on the product? Inquiring minds 🤔
i do like balms so i’m looking forward to receiving mine, i got Epinoui and Meet Cute, wondering if it will be too light but will use a lip liner if it is, very tempted by the others now❤
Oh I’ve been waiting on this!!!! I have seen videos. But some peoples lighting is not good. I know here I can see quality shots. If I see it on you, I can picture it on me. It all rides on you Rebecca. Lol will I buy it?
In short, YES!!! I have two and they are not like other things I have. I did purchase a couple of things that may dupe them. But I am not sure how it will go. The skin tint and foundation are faves for me personally but I get that nothing works for absolutely everyone.
I ordered Epanoui and Red Curve. They haven't arrived yet but I look forward to comparing them with my Hourglass Glossy Balm and the Rouge Dior Colored Lip Balm.
Oh I will be interested to hear what you think. I think the hourglass is a little more pigmented and a little bit messier but in a good way and the Dior is very similar but also more pigmented
We have the same skin tone....so the fact Metropolis looked good on you gives me hope. I like these.....but to expect them to act with longevity, especially with the name 'baume', is a rather high expectation. They remind me of the Chanel baumes. But now I can get the Metropolis and feel good about it. Thank you , Rebecca!
Love the LE Skin Tint...I'm not sold on these lip baumes. They are nice;,they look great on you but I have so many others so unless there's a great sale I think these are a pas for me!😅Thank you Rebecca!,🎉🎉🎉
Did I need more lip balm? No. Did I see these were releasing and decide NOT to buy one because I don’t need more lip balm? Yes. I am a mature, sensible person. I have a lip balm similar to Metropolis in the Rabanne lip balm. It’s not as shiny, but it’s the same shade. Meet Cute is close to every lip balm I have because peachy pink is my jam. I already have a Pat McGrath lip balm in red as well as the Kiss Kiss in Poppy. I love the YSL Candy Glaze, but haven’t tried the new balm. I have a pink one in my Sephora cart right now. I also saw that Lancôme is coming out with a balm, and I’ve been loving their lip formulas, too. (Their soft matte lipstick formula is my current favorite) Oh and I have 4 of the Suqqu Moisture Glaze which is probably my favorite of all!! I really need zero more lip balms. Soooooo… did I buy one of the LE lip balms on release date just to “test the formula” after I saw the Lisa Eldridge video about them?Yes. 🤦🏻♀️My Sweet Fig was supposed to arrive yesterday but didn’t. Here’s hoping it arrives today!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty 😂😂 It came!! This LE balm formula is amazing!! It’s not super slippy, but it’s not as substantial as the Suquu and it’s less pigmented than the Suquu. I love Sweet Fig. I regret nothing!!!
I'm intrigued by these as well but what I'm wondering is: how fast do you use them up? I see people going over their lips over and over again to build up color or just for the lovely feel it gives them. The bullet has less product in it than her other lipsticks and I'm wondering if you run through them very quickly
Thank you Rebecca for another great and prompt review. Like you said your channel is like a review beauty magazine at our fingertips and with your amazing expertise 🩷 as i mentioned in my FB comment I too love the story behind each product and the experience LE brings to a product , I love her and the commitment she has in her brand, it definitely shows , however I then often feel disappointed by her products or rather they don’t work well on me (other than her sorcery palette which I totally love) . I think that’s why I’m even more sad because I want her products to be the best in my collection but sadly they are not. 🥺❤️
It’s really interesting that you bring this up… And let me just back up for a moment and thank you for your kind compliment and for understanding what I’m trying to do with the channel by making it a few pages of a beauty magazine every day or every other day! But when we weave a tale, and Lisa Eldridge weaves a beautiful tale , it is a little bit hard because people feel the kind of mythos about the product and they expect more from it than they might actually be able to get. And you are absolutely correct that there is a chasm there. So interesting and true.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thank you for taking the time to answer me as always, you really are the best reviewer here on YT. I always take into consideration what you have to say and also let me praise you for actually “using” your face as a canvas to show the products. I love it when you make a point to tell your viewers that that is not the way you would normally wear a blush or a bronzer 😄 but what you do is invaluable for us as we can really get a sense of the products. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 if I want to see tutorials then I will look at people like Andrea Ali or indeed Lisa Eldridge 🩷
Hi lovely Rebecca !! These look really pretty . You are correct is does get overwhelming with all these new balms and lip tints that are being released. Guerlain kiss kiss Bee glow is my favourite 🤗❤️
I use to be either a matte lip or gloss gal, not a whole lot in between. Since trying all the ysl though I’ve started to get into the mid formulas. I purchased sweet fig and metropolis, almost went for epanoui but not into pinks so wasn’t too sure of that one. I wasn’t expecting it to really last but i did pair mine with the new lip pencils, I think candy glaze last well but those are thicker so this is most similar to candy glow or loveshine. I will say i like these more than the Lucents because those tend to get patchy & i only kept one shade from that formula.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Oh btw i did notice a scent on these, idk if its added or just from the butters? it smells sweet not quite vanilla but very pleasant
I wondered if the Metropolis was close in shade to Clinique Black Honey. I think at some stage I'll pick up one or two because I do enjoy these types of sheer lip products.
It’s like the Clinique but much more sheer. There was one incarnation of black honey from Clinique that was also very sheer. I think it was a gloss a while back and it’s comparable to that
I’m curious how they compare to Hourglass. My guess is that Hourglass is a bit more pigmented and slightly more sticky. I have not purchased any of Lisa’s yet. Sweet Fig would be my choice.
I will definitely buy one or two. I have been blessed to go to Lisa's pop up store and her counter at Selfridges, she just employs fantastic people that are so helpful. I really want to support her brand. Could you get a cheaper version probably especially since all these particular style of product wear fast.
Hi Rebeca I agree LE has such a unique approach how she creates her makeup. I would call her more so couture makeup. I am libra, and I love than designers have artistic approach, to all the details . Yes not all her products are great, but some are really exceptional. I love her new tint , mascara, and lip pencils, and of course her eyeshadows are amazing. I watched her video, and I loved how she used red curve with her new 2w pencil, and I am also intrigued by épanoui shade. I don’t really like or buy too many balms or oils, that sheer oily texture lip products. I have a few oils from Hermes, Dior and clarins. Just got armani sherry red . So I am going to get probably red with 2w pencil.( I love reds. It’s probably 90% of all my lipsticks are red 😳🤪) And I might get épanoui not sure 🤔 I hope they are not sticky, I hate when hair stick to the lipstick 😳😂 lol Have a blessed day🙏❤️
I never assume a balm lip product will last. I don’t like tinted lip balms but if I were to buy some, I would prefer a more matte formula. You looked beautiful ❤
Thank you so very much. And you are right. There are definitely balms like Nars especially that have a little bit more of a matte formula and therefore actually a bit more staying power
I purchased Sweet Fig and Red Curve. I am very pleased with them. I do find them soothing and very comfortable. I really like that the color is buildable and looks fine with or without a lip pencil. I may get Metropolis in the future. I think Lisa is smart in the way she markets her products. She really gets people interested with her stories. Are they really that wonderful or different? I don’t think they are. They are, in my opinion, very nice. I do appreciate I’m not being overwhelmed with fragrance or a taste. Like you I’m not blown away with all of her products. Also, would love to see her bring back her blush in better packaging. I tossed mine as it took Herculean strength to get the product out of the tube. I wish Lisa would just present her new products without all of the stories. Just show me. And, bring out the salient points. I agree with your statement regarding having respect for Lisa Eldridge, her amazing talent and many of her products. Gucci Westman? Meh. Rebecca thank you for a brilliant review. ❤️🤗😘❤️
I only got the fig shade (still waiting along with the kitten liner😊) bc I do want to try her formula and I do love LE - though I was going to not, but she enchanted me with her video and I’m never mad at that for some reason 😍 - but I already have her red gloss (which I often sheer to make it balm-like), and I just recently bought some Dior balm things (the names, I can’t even remember, lol) that are in peachy and pink colors (they have a million shades, so my head is still fuzzy from the choice fatigue) -oh and a guerlain oil (that is a divine formula) - so, I dont needed another neutral… but she said it’s more nourishing then her luscent formulas, which I wear as beautiful lip treatments they’re so lovely - I *have to try* the **better** formula, lol - I guess another nude shade will never go to waste 😅😊 - I don’t have YSL to compare… so many choices 😵💫
They’re really are way way way too many choices and, I’m just like you, I can’t remember the names of all of these. YSL has the same product in different colored packages with different names and, even if my life depended upon it, I would fail that test of what they’re named.
I was not that thrilled when my two color selections arrived. I should have got the red curve. I’m medium warm golden skin tone with lips that are already pigmented on their own When I applied metropolis I thought I looked dead. Like a greenish cast?? Not sure what it is but I will need to use this over other lipstick shades. I chose meet cute also. That color is just ok on me. The moisture is wonderful but for this price I need to love it. The colors probably work better on light skin tones with pink lips naturally
Yesterday, I coped with a moment of work stress by ordering 3 of these (Epanoui, Metropolis and Sweet Fig)…maybe not the healthiest coping mechanism but at least my lips will look pretty! Can’t wait to receive them!
The first time I saw the presentation and heard the name, they reminded me of Rom&nd Glasting Melting Balms. I love Lisa, but I will stick to Rom&nd - they feel amazing, nourishing, moistutizing, last long, especially if you layer it a bit, the lips kind of stain, and the price point...I can buy 4 x rom&nd lipsticks for the price of Lisa's one lipstick...
I definitely get caught up in the hype with Lisa or I used to in the past… and then typically never use the things I buy from her. She really romanticizes each shade of each product, which would get me to buy colors that were completely unflattering for me, and then when I did a declutter a few months ago, I threw away almost every lipstick I had bought from her. At this point I think the only product of hers I would repurchase are the lucent lipsticks, specifically atomic cherry and je ne se quois… and go lightly if it ever came back. But even with that formula there are definitely “bad” shades… dance card was (according to Lisa) supposed to be similar to go lightly without the neon effect.. however on me it was pale and blotchy and just a lighter version of je ne se quois but otherwise exactly the same color. If she came out with a more orange shade of that lipstick I would buy it, but otherwise I don’t really get excited about her launches anymore. SO OFTEN they do not work out for me and I just don’t feel like they are that great. The disappointments have really worn on me over time.
I see your point entirely. I also think we are all over saturated and overwhelmed with the amount of releases from every brand and they can’t all be special.
I understand Your strugle with the color. I'm n.6 in her foundation- so ligter and warmish and the lipsticks look pink on me -even the one with caramel in the description. And I can't wear too bright and opaque shades (red etc.), so it leaves me with Affair and Meet me in Berlin. I would like Morning or Dragon in Luxoriously lucent formula - so they will be sheerer on me.
@@lenka156 morning and dragon in the lucent formula, I would definitely buy! That would be great. Edit: her colors look a lot pinker on me too and I am very golden so that isn’t great, definitely not what I am looking for and that’s why I had to get rid of so many, because they were not warm enough.
I also love a story behind the products. It really adds to the whole experience. It seems silly, but even the name of a product can be inspiring. Maybe not the x-rated names (NARS I’m talking to you!).
I do agree that Lisa’s lip products are the best out of her line. Whatever lip product she comes out with I must try it, but I’ve lost interest a little bit in the other products. This could just be due to my being a lippie girl though 😊
I am a LE fan and was disappointed with this release as I do not like these types of lip products. Yes, I was tempted, however I am waiting for her blushes and/or concealer. I like the red shade on you.
You know, Antonia, I’m just hearing really mixed reviews. Certain people like them but most people are finding that there’s not really enough pigment. That doesn’t bother me because I’m not really one for heavily pigmented lipstick but I want you to just kind of keep those criticisms in mind before you purchase.
@@NotFitforPrintBeautyThank you, Rebecca. Between these and Dior addict refillable shine lipsticks, which one is more pigmented? My lips colour is quite dark, so I’d prefer something more pigmented 😊 Thank you
This formula has been in Korean and Chinese beauty for a long time, specifically the Romand Glasting Melting Balm and Etude Ginger Sugar Melting Balm Sticks. Lisa has been on the pulse of KBeauty since her Lancome Juicy Shakers, so this wasn't innovative to me.
As bigger and bigger brands start making their products in Korea and giving nods to Korean skin care, you are right that it is not some hidden secret anymore
I'm a LE fan but will not be buying these. I can't wear the YSL ones and most other slippery, glossy products because they seep into the corners of my mouth. I've tried clear liner, etc. and it doesn't work well, not worth the trouble. Lisa didn't address the issue of lip lines and people who are my age with lip wrinkles, and that is disappointing to me. Usually Lisa is sensitive to "aging" people, but not this time.
I tried those Gisou lip oils and they just migrated to the corners of my mouth. It was terrible. I feel that these have enough slip that they don’t gather and lip lines, thankfully. But I know exactly what you’re talking about and I share your concerns and disappointment
What?! Eek. No no. No good. Mine have no taste. I wonder if we’re gonna start hearing this from other people. I would contact the brand right away. I am so sorry
@@pammyair I’ve contacted LE, & they said it’s got synthetic vanilla aroma, the formula contains high proportion of natural waxes which can have their own odours!! So we got unlucky & got the wax tasting one, not the vanilla 🙄
@@jofereday7213 hi, thank you, I too contacted CS and they told me the same . I guess we were unlucky 🥺 however their CS is the most amazing one and kindly refunded me . I shall re invest in one of the red lipglosses possibly. 😘

What I find interesting are the organic vegan 🌱 ingredients in it. I doubt YSL have them. It definitively makes a difference once the lipstick disappear. The idea is to let your lips moisturized once it’s removed.
As the parent of a teen I can speak to this! I was introduced to this word probably three months ago, or this phrase I should say, when she was watching a teen drama. The kids will ask each other, “do you have a meet cute? “ And it’s like Gen Z or Gen alpha slang for a cute story around when you met. I don’t think most people these days have meet cute because everyone’s meeting online aren’t they? Ha ha. Don’t think kids these days have to say that their meet cute is that someone swiped left or right or whatever?
@NotFitforPrintBeauty it just sounds like Meat Cube! But yes! I have googled and Wikipedia says it's been used in Hollywood since the 1941s. Glad the kids are using it! Every day is a school day!
Oh NO....you are like the sixth person who has told me this and others have mentioned taste as well. The brand says it's a vanilla scent but sometimes the waxes overpower it. None of mine smell or taste. But I'm hearing this a lot.
I agree. I ordered two, Fig and Meet Cute. Do not like the smell. Lisa Eldridge states it is because of the waxes. I wish I would have known this before purchasing. 🙁
A super honest and thoughtful review, thank you!
I own a lot of products from LE and I use them daily.
You are very right, Kimberly. Once we have that comfort that’s all we want. I am the same.
I feel like, with Lisa, we need "team lucent" and "team velvet" tee shirts. People always fall on one side or the other.
Nothing like sheer lip color for me too!
Love a good lippie video!! 💄💋❤️
Vin happens to be my favorite French word 🍷 that & croissant 🥐❤️🥰
You have got to tell me please the shade of the Rabanne you showed...the plum!! 💜💜
Get ready for the crazy name. That shade is called bloody kiss
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty ew!! 😳
THANK YOU, Lianna. I am so flattered. I do remember Nars Manhunt. It was very pretty!
I love the Red Curve on you! Very intrigued, though I don’t usually wear red.
I don't wear red either but mostly because it's fussy so I like this version of it.
I ordered Epanoui and Sweet Fig the day she launched and I can't wait to receive them 🙂 - thank you for your review.
I think you will really like them. They’re not highly pigmented but I don’t mind that personally.
I’m a fan of her products and what I have work well for me. Not sure if I’ll be getting this new lip baume though as I have very similar type lippies and only 1 face 😁.
True true. That’s smart Shopping
I ❤❤❤ these...to me, they are way more hydrating than any other lippies from this category. Been wearing it for 3 days now and really feel my lips are so good condition...so for me the winner is the lip care
I’m so glad you like them too!
My favourite in this category is the Guerlain balms and the KissKiss shiny lipsticks, which are sheer and beautiful. Thank you for this review, Rebecca!
meeee toooo, Janet!
I got red curve, didn't love the colour initially. I did however wear it again with more warm tones in clothing and it worked better
We are skin shade twins approximately but I'm a blue red lady. I layered it today with dior lip oil but also dior lip maximiser later. In all 3 cases it works. Its an easy product. I'm a LE devotee, this is an okayish release for me. I might grow to like it. I don't own any ysl lip products. Too confusing
Totally fair commentary!
Oh thank you for sharing this, I am afraid I missed the mark with red curve - I will see in person in a few days... But your comment gives me hope 😅
I’m here just to see you my friend ! I’m so in love of ysl can’t cheat on those I’m in love lol 😂 LE is beautiful but just hear for the tea 🫖, thank you for this review my friend ❤
Haydee! You are always such wonderful support for this channel.
They look fine, nothing out of this world. If I want to get them I have to buy online and I will not do it. I love the lip balms from Guerlain, Sisley and Hermes. I don’t need more and all the lip balms I like I can get them from the store.
Thanks for sharing!🙂
You make excellent points! 🤗
I agree, I refuse to buy online. The price alone!!! I want the opportunity to try/test.
Lisa has hinted that she’s eyeing an American launch soon…. if that’s where u r lol
@@adrian-rx8rg Ireland , she's not in a brick and mortar store yet
Sorry went off topic…
Back to these, the red curve looks great on you as the first one.
Inquiring minds 🤔
i do like balms so i’m looking forward to receiving mine, i got Epinoui and Meet Cute, wondering if it will be too light but will use a lip liner if it is, very tempted by the others now❤
You are absolutely correct that lip liners tend to fix everything! Not marriages and plumbing issues but lipstick for sure
Oh I’ve been waiting on this!!!! I have seen videos. But some peoples lighting is not good. I know here I can see quality shots. If I see it on you, I can picture it on me. It all rides on you Rebecca. Lol will I buy it?
I am honored and I wear my responsibility with pride, Veronica! 🤗
They all looked lovely on you, great review x
Thank you so very very much
The Red Curve looks great on you.
Oh my goodness thank you so much, Johanna!
Boots Natural Collection have relaunched and they're superb for the price!!
Good to know!
In short, YES!!! I have two and they are not like other things I have. I did purchase a couple of things that may dupe them. But I am not sure how it will go.
The skin tint and foundation are faves for me personally but I get that nothing works for absolutely everyone.
Ya know what? With the foundation, I LOVE it but my face doesn't. Allergy to something. So frustrating. But these little fellows are really nice!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty this happens for all of us at some point. Plenty of other fish in the sea!
I am wondering how they compare to the luxurious lucent lipsticks? Do they have a similar feel on the lips in your opinion?
The Lucent are much drier and a bit patchier in my opinion :)
They do remind me a bit of Chanel also. That’s a good comparison but the Chanel are more pigmented.
Love the LE Skin Tint...I'm not sold on these lip baumes. They are nice;,they look great on you but I have so many others so unless there's a great sale I think these are a pas for me!😅Thank you Rebecca!,🎉🎉🎉
Oh yes. I can’t blame you on that. The competition for these is insane
Ooh I like the look of the suqqu one. I'm glad you're trying this one for science :D
@@MsBNoodle😂😂😂 I’ll report back!! The Suqqu Moisture Glaze is exceptional.
Did I enjoy the heck out of this comment? Yes does it speak to my soul? Yes.
It’s a good question and only time will tell but you are absolutely correct that, especially if you’re building up the shades, it’s not gonna last.
Guerlain it’s just such a favorite, Bridget.
Oh I totally agree
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Oh btw i did notice a scent on these, idk if its added or just from the butters? it smells sweet not quite vanilla but very pleasant
The Red Curve looks really lovely 😊💕
Thank you, Whitney!!!
I think it was a gloss a while back and it’s comparable to that
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thanks x
Oh Rebecca I just know we’d be friends if I lived in the US! Can’t wait to watch, got my tea ready ☕️
We totally would be! 🤗 🤗 🤗
I’m curious how they compare to Hourglass. My guess is that Hourglass is a bit more pigmented and slightly more sticky. I have not purchased any of Lisa’s yet. Sweet Fig would be my choice.
And your guess is entirely correct!
I will definitely buy one or two. I have been blessed to go to Lisa's pop up store and her counter at Selfridges, she just employs fantastic people that are so helpful. I really want to support her brand. Could you get a cheaper version probably especially since all these particular style of product wear fast.
Exactly. We’re definitely paying for the label and supporting the vision of the artist. I do agree for sure
I am so tempted by epanoui -i shall watch this and see if its worth the hype!
I love it but is it entirely worth the hype? I am still not convinced and the community doesn’t appear to be either
I agree about her products being hit or miss. These are my kind of lippies though!💖
Total agreement Sheila
It’s probably 90% of all my lipsticks are red 😳🤪) And I might get épanoui not sure 🤔 I hope they are not sticky, I hate when hair stick to the lipstick 😳😂 lol Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Wonderful comment! And these are a lot less sticky than the others in this category. Still a bit sticky tho I admit.
You and I are in lockstep on this. I was nodding my head in agreement throughout your entire comment
I can absolutely see the validity in this comment. True true
Yesterday, I coped with a moment of work stress by ordering 3 of these (Epanoui, Metropolis and Sweet Fig)…maybe not the healthiest coping mechanism but at least my lips will look pretty! Can’t wait to receive them!
That’s MY kind of coping too, Allison!
I think this release makes sense for this brand. They do lips well
Lips are her thing for sure
Ps. I have the YSL and love them! I also have that LE sweatshirt!!😅😅😅
I love my LE sweatshirts!
Oh I’ve never heard of the ones you mentioned. I’m going to check it out
They are stunning!!!
♥️♥️♥️♥️
I don't like Lisa's velvet lips, but I really like her glosses, so I think I'm going to try shade sweet fig 😊
I actually prefer this to her glosses which can get a bit messy for me, Debbie.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I'll try sweet fig then Rebecca 😀
I also love a story behind the products. It really adds to the whole experience. It seems silly, but even the name of a product can be inspiring. Maybe not the x-rated names (NARS I’m talking to you!).
haha, yes, I agree and I’ll add the Too Faced mascara to those Nars products 😬
Oh yes. Those too-faced and Nars products are definitely out to get me on the embarrassment scale
I just can't imagine buying NARS when I'm 70 years old and telling a store clerk "no, Orgasm is too peachy on me, do you have Deep Throat?"
@@snestah 🤣
Omg you cracked me up it’s good that I don’t like Nars blushes 🤣🤣🤣 ❤️
I do agree that Lisa’s lip products are the best out of her line. Whatever lip product she comes out with I must try it, but I’ve lost interest a little bit in the other products. This could just be due to my being a lippie girl though 😊
She really does lip products so well
My Queen I love allllll of them on you ❤
Oh thank you, Sara!!!

I am a LE fan and was disappointed with this release as I do not like these types of lip products. Yes, I was tempted, however I am waiting for her blushes and/or concealer. I like the red shade on you.
Andrea! I’m really waiting to hear what the world is happening with the repackaging of the blush!
È arrivato oggi ... meraviglia!
❤️❤️❤️
Eehh, I was hoping you could talk me out of buying these! Instead of that, you’ve peaked my interest 😅
My lips colour is quite dark, so I’d prefer something more pigmented 😊 Thank you
I just don’t think we need another lip product. Reissue the blush already!! 😩
What Jennifer said. ;)
I still haven’t tried any Lisa Eldridge but boy am I tempted.
One of these days, she’ll draw you in!
It's overrated and too hyped up tbh
❤❤❤
😘😘😘
My first disappointment from Lisa, my new lip balm tastes absolutely vile, like a cheap chapstick 🤢 waste of money for me 😢
What?! Eek. No no. No good. Mine have no taste. I wonder if we’re gonna start hearing this from other people. I would contact the brand right away. I am so sorry
Mine has got a funny taste, like an old fashion lipstick . It also stays in my mouth ! I’m waiting for other comments , if not I will contact CS !

That’s a super interesting point. I really appreciate that comment
She just charges way too much money for a basic product
Fair point
I do not like the name Meet Cute. It sounds to me like Meat. This is just a me thing.
They smell awful
Hmm.. is that because they are fragrance free perhaps? That's a shame they looked good
Oh NO....you are like the sixth person who has told me this and others have mentioned taste as well. The brand says it's a vanilla scent but sometimes the waxes overpower it. None of mine smell or taste. But I'm hearing this a lot.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I've not seen so many comments on the smell/taste of a lipstick before!
I agree. I ordered two, Fig and Meet Cute. Do not like the smell. Lisa Eldridge states it is because of the waxes. I wish I would have known this before purchasing. 🙁
@laurenlefkovitz77 oh no! Really?? Thanks for the headsup.
