Tammy Nelson It was the first season of Survivor people where just learning how the game worked. Some people viewed alliances as a unfair exploit. Also a lot of people thought it was very rude the way he walked around nude. That made some of the other castaways feel uncomfortable. I'm a little surprised he did win. He only won by one vote Jury vote. He played a sloppy and out dated game in my opinion. Richard Hatch said he would play a ruthless game if he returned. I think they will bring him back to the show eventually probably on Heroes Vs. Villains 2 or a Winners Vs. Legends season. God bless. :-)

Christian, it was Hatch's first season as well! just because he had more brain than the others and that he played to win it didnt mean he had some unfair advantage.
You have to compare Hatch to everyone else on the cast. In the first season, everyone was rooting for the Pagong tribe, because they were fun, younger, and loved the experience. The Tagi tribe formed an alliance, which people on the show saw as unfair and unethical (HA), and picked off all of the fun people. Then, out of all of the remaining Tagi people, Rich was the least relatable - Sue was a hard working blue collar woman, Rudy was an old, funny, ex-military guy, and Kelly was young, kind and excellent in challenges. Rich _was_ a bit arrogant, he was sneaky, and was the first manipulator in the show. People don’t despise him as a person, they just love to hate his character.
You should watch the all-star season episode where Rob C, boston rob, amber, alicia, etc. etc. recreate a tribal council and cesternino impersonates Jeff. bloody hilarious
*Survivor needs more folks like me. I'm interested in pleasing God. I don't care about winning other people's popularity. I already know I'm a genius. I ain't got nothing to prove to people. I would go out there and play hard never even considered quiting. I would play 100% but not just to win but to have the satisfaction of playing the game the way I've always wanted it to be played. I had rather lose too a bitter jury than win against a goat like Dan Foley. I'm self aware but I'd also be willing to take big risk and swing for the fences. Survivor is a once in a life time experience so you gotta give it all you got. The only way to play is all in. God bless everyone.* :-)
HAHA you and everyone. Do you not realize how redundant you sound? EVERYONE says shit like this when they try to get on. You've gotta be more clever than that.
Yeah... you’d definitely be voted out pre-jury. First of all, no one wants the whole “Oh Lordy, Hallelujah” shit, and you’d be voted off early for that. Or mocked by the edit. Second, you’re arrogant, and no one likes that. Third, no one wants the guy who’d rather lose and be proud of himself instead of win. People want players that want to WIN. We don’t care about your pride and self satisfaction. We want winners. In that regard, you probably wouldn’t be casted in the first place. Sorry, buddy.
People watch or listen to the Elvis Duran Show? Pretty shit interview, stepping on the quest when he's telling a story. The giggle girls are fun to look at though.
I will be honest. The first show of survivor I did not watch, because it sounded boring. Then I watched every episode until the beginning of 2012. I have not watched it since because every episode it the same. They have made no major changes. I submitted one major change that they should make. That change was the players final vote would count for 50% and the TV audience would vote and it would count for 50%. I wanted to see this happen because there were people winning a million dollars who should have won nothing.........
Jeff’s voice is just so soothing...I can’t stop watching interviews with him 😂
Jeff will never quit!!! Huge fan of Survivor and you Jeff!!!!!!!
"feckless" did he learn that from Shambo?
Next season: All the winners + Jeff Probst as a castaway! That'd be interesting.
You got most of your wish with S40!
love Jeff - best part of the show
I love Jeff so much
That was awesome
WHY do people hate Hatch to this day? He actually was a loyal ally.

Being interviewed by Jeff Probst... tough.
salary of four million dollars an episode is the key for Jeff to survive
Probst = Survivor
we came in off the delta ca jungle beach after finding an american nativesnarrow head to watch the first show
Jeff, had you left thinking you're only going to mess up the show for staying too long, then your absence would have messed up the show big time.
Did Andrew ever get on the show?
@richardhatchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
daniels laugh... -.-'
Take a shot if she laughs. You will die probaly😂🙈

Christian_Country_Boy I love Jesus Christ! They wouldn't have someone on tv that didn't want to win.
