Been watching from day 1. The first season finale/reunion was airing the night I was leaving the hospital from having my 4th baby. I bugged the crap out of nurse to get me out of there so I wouldn’t miss the show. I made it home in time. That baby is now 19!! Love Survivor and Jeff Probst!!!!!

Jeff Probst is the greatest host in the history of television. He is passionate about what he does, well spoken, classy, intelligent, and really tells a story well. I want Survivor to go on forever, but it's hard to imagine any host ever truly taking his place. Having said that, Jonathan Lapaglia does a really good job with Australian Survivor.
What a nice guy. I didn't watch the show early on, but I can't wait for every episode over the last 5 years. Gotta keep those people from getting staph infections and heat strokes though. Giving anesthesia, I was seriously worried about Caleb. One of the other survivors had his legs in the air, but Caleb's jugular veins were distended. Not a good thing, especially when a person is not breathing well. Just a reminder that it is serious out there and Cedar Sinai isn't in your back door.

The only guy who could rival Jeff as a host is probably a veteran survivor who can keep a straight face. I admit I am a bit biased cause I love him but Russel Hantz could probably do a nice job. He’s cocky but can be scarily unemotional when needed and he’s a legend.
I can’t see the show getting cancelled at least until Survivor 60 bc I think soon once Jeff is almost is his 70s is when he might start to retire however the survivor theme isn’t gonna die anytime soon so many people love survivor and there have been fan made shows like Survivor New Mexico

I'm sorry folks but in my book "22 minutes with Jeff Probst" is 22 minutes too long. Not that Jeff doesn't do a fine job as the host of Survivor despite his penchant for making disparaging remarks about some of the survivors in order to hype the show. I'm not suggesting that he hasn't been the key element in the show's popularity but his arrogance is a bit over the top for me. Now if you've ever seen his attempt at a daytime talk show, which was very short-lived, you should have realized that the guy is a self-centered egomaniac. He talked over his guests and continuously monopolized the interviews. You might as well have tuned into a Jeff Probst monologue. Just a humble opinion & I still love the show. Fire away!
Jeff is still so enthusiastic about the show 16 years into it. This is a major reason the show does so well. It's good to see.

There actually was a really similar show that starred kids. It was called Endurance but the kids didn't make shelters, they just lived in cabins.
This was an amazing interview! I’ll always say part of being a good interviewer is to just ask open ended questions and let the person talk!

I'm sorry folks but in my book "22 minutes with Jeff Probst" is 22 minutes too long. Not that Jeff doesn't do a fine job as the host of Survivor despite his penchant for making disparaging remarks about some of the survivors in order to hype the show.
I'm not suggesting that he hasn't been the key element in the show's popularity but his arrogance is a bit over the top for me.
Now if you've ever seen his attempt at a daytime talk show, which was very short-lived, you should have realized that the guy is a self-centered egomaniac. He talked over his guests and continuously monopolized the interviews. You might as well have tuned into a Jeff Probst monologue.
Just a humble opinion & I still love the show. Fire away!
