The real MVP thank you for these 🙏
I'm a Chinese-Japanese translator, not a programmer, but I can't imagine how to use a computer without komorebi! Thank you for your excellent work 🤗
I'm not a programmer too, but do it for fun😊
Thank you! I had never thought that komorebi would be useful for translators but now that I think of it I'm sure it's really useful to be able to organize the source text, translation text, dictionary tools etc in a predictable way on the screen 💡
Just got introduced with komorebi and your work after searching for yabai alternatives on Windows. Oh man, the work is incredible. Im an artist and know nothing about programming, but it looks quite friendly - especially with your tutorials (thanks for GUI btw). I feel like if you add status bar \ polybar feature It'll definitely be a gamechanger. Good luck bro
Thank you! While the primary audience for these sorts of tools tends to be programmers I am always very happy to find people from other disciplines being able to benefit from this software.
The first video in the status bar series is up now, hopefully I'll have something to release by the end of August 🤞
Thank you so SO much for the font customization options added to the stackbar. I've been using the new version for a couple of days now, running flawlessly on my older PC. Amazing job, dude!
I'm especially glad to hear that it runs well on older hardware! I do my best to ensure that performance remains a priority so that people don't need the newest or most expensive hardware to run this software 🤞
I'm seriously so grateful for all your hard work! Just found out about Komorebi yesterday and I still can't believe Windows can look so beautiful (and it's cool to see how recent this project is)
Thanks for taking the time to leave this comment! It always makes me happy to hear that my work makes people's workflows less tedious and more beautiful ☀️
So good! Love it.
Onwards and upwards with every release 🚀
Komorebi -- when you have to use Windows but *really* miss Linux. Makes me feel like I'm using a Stardock product from yesteryear.
I came to Windows so late (2020?) so I don't actually have any experience with the old Stardock products
It's probably telling that my first thought when switching to Windows was "Damn I gotta make this more like Linux STAT" lol
And people say Windows is bad! Good luck doing all this on a Mac!!?! Really wish I could use this thing!
BTW; just saw you reach 2k subscribers; congrats!
Thank you! I can't believe we reached 2000 subs so quickly 😱
True, hoping for you to get to 20k 🙂
i’m confused what he does here that you couldn’t do here on a mac
@@loo_9 Well, for starters, switching workspaces (WITHOUT delay), properly tiling windows, moving between them, stacking them, adding transparency, ...
superb 👌
Looks nice, but it seems to struggle a bit with my portrait mode 3x messenger window setup, it insists on having them side by side instead of top to bottom
The "Rows" layout is pretty nice for portrait monitors, I use it for a very similar 3x IM vertical layout 🤞
@@LGUG2Z I'll dig through it a bit more, thank you for this project!
Hi im quite new with komorebi and i love it, its a dream come true. im triying to adapt to my workspace in home and office but i have a little problem in the configuration. can u help me with some of thems please?
1.- i got de "display_index_preferences" configured. how can i configure diferents workspaces on both of my monitors?
2.- im using notepad++ for editing but i see you use vscode, i installed it but the dropdowns list like the one for animations styles its not showing (minute 15:20), how can i activate it?
3.- is there a telegram or something about the project?

i did the monitor thingy!!! searching in your old videos i got the solution!!
I'm glad you found the solution! 🎉
Yeah, today i'm using it in my work laptop, amazing, totally love it
please i would suggest to add polybar or status bar feature on it to make more awesome.
Coming soon! ™️
@@LGUG2Z cool 🚀
statusbars! 😍😍
Cousin! First status bar series video is up now 🚀
Awesome stuff! I tried to disable transparency for mpv, in applications.yaml, but it doesn't seem to work: - name: mpv
transparency: false (if anyone has clue how)
Transparency doesn't take any exception rules; it applies to all unfocused windows - you can bind a hotkey to turn off transparency when you are watching something in a media player window
