I restart the game 3-4 times a year. I really love the beginning of the game when there are so many possibilities. I'll be restarting again after the New Year celebration because I wanted to stick to my current island for the rest of the holidays this year.
i just re-started an island too and this is the first time of the 4-5 acnh islands i’ve had that i DIDNT have pears as my native fruit 😭 i thought that i just always had pears based on where i lived or something but this time i finally got apples
I restarted my island a few days ago and I'm really glad. I still have my original island on our v1 switch but i haven't touched it in a long time. I want to use this island to challenge myself and complete the museum. I also want to collect all the recipes, songs, furnitures (not color variants though), fruit, Gyroids, and complete the nook mile achievements. I'm really glad there's a few phone apps that help keep track of that stuff lol makes it a lot easier even if i have the guidebook. I started my island in "August"...i kinda wish i had started closer to October but i time travel anyways. Looking forward to watching your videos ❤
@@gloriacresswell8052 it’s just whatever fruit tree your island started with! If you’re not sure you can also look in the cabinet inside Nook’s Cranny, whatever fruit they sell is your island’s native fruit :)
@nerdiebird Yes,ok. I've never been able to play yet. The game was my daughter's, years ago. I'm looking into trying to join in. Was just curious if there was a way to tell from the maps you choose from. Apparently you choose, and go see, and if you don't like it, you back out and start again.
@@gloriacresswell8052 yes that is correct! you can always get other fruits and just plant those in place of your native trees if you get a fruit you don’t like. There’s a lot of factors that go into choosing a map, fruit is one of them that is easily changed!
I also re-started in October. Did not regret it at all.
Me too. I started what I want to be my forever island, doing different themes over time
