As a Caulkhead (born on the Isle of Wight) I really enjoyed watching you explore the coastal path. I have been searching through your channel, found part two, but have been unable to locate the final episode. Doing so I am amazed at just how many videos you have produced: thank you! I have also been enjoying your explorations around the Midlands and the historical remains you find.
Brilliant video, I hiked the path last weekend and really enjoyed it. The drone footage here really adds a special element to the video. Excellent narration too 👏
Lovely morning to start your walk Ant, ,really brought back memories ,we did the Bembridge to Sandown walk when you were about 4, i will have to dig out the photos, little did we know you were on a practice walk all those years ago😊,looking forward to the next section, lovely video ❤x
Hello Ant - I haven't been to the I. O. W. for years - dare I say decades - I went with Bridgewater School when I was about 10 yrs old I think, & if I remember correctly - we visited the Needles & there was a some sort of Park (And some of the Park had fallen away into the sea b/c it was next to the Sea!!!) which had a some sort of Cable Car open Seats type thing down to the beach - thanks for the memories 🤔🙂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Ant, what a walk, for some it would be the walk of a lifetime, a POO museum? Your drone shots really show the beauty of the Isle of Wight. I follow along on google earth and noticed that the Isle of Wight has a 11-mile river, The River Medina. Thanks to Ant for all his time, work and walking for this video.......
Hurry up withe next one Ant!!!! That was a cracking early morning walk👍👍👍👍 Just one thing, the ferry goes straight on out of Pompey, it doesn't turn left for Calais😂😂😂😂😂😂
I left the Isle of Wight 8 months ago after living there for over 50 years. So nice to see (parts of) where I grew up and I can almost imagine doing the walk alongside you. Hope you enjoyed it and thanks for bringing back memories of many places I knew so well 👍👍
Great video of the IOW. Well put together. Nice music. The island is a gem of a place for a quiet break. Sad to see the gardens crumbling away at shanklin.
Love the video and look forward to the rest. Back in the late 70's / early 80's I used to go there a lot with my mates on the beer. Got boat from Ryde. Missed the last train from Sandown one night and had to walk to Ryde. Missed the last boat and had to spend the night sat in the public toilet as the only place that was shelter. Great memories. Still go over there these days with the mrs. Often use different ferries. Lovely place, lots to see. Thank for another epic, Ant.
Been looking forward to watching these.. Not been to the Isle of Wight since I was a kid and had forgotten how beautiful it is.. Must add it to our To Do list.. Great video as always and will look forward to the next one. 😊👍
Maaaaate!!! This is brilliant. Mini series suit you hands down. Great knowledge and incredible imagery. Been away and was looking forward to this. Well worth the wait and well done Ant!!! Next please!!! Cheers
Enjoying this video around the coast, I live on the island and often walk these same paths. It’s always interesting to see the seasonal changes, it’s a shame that we have had a lot of coastal erosion this past year but I shall continue to enjoy exploring nonetheless
Enjoying this one Ant , love the Isle of Wight . Have probably done most of these walks but over the space of many years , unlike you ! It's scary how much of the Island is slipping into the sea as I am sure we will see more of later in the series . Didn't know about the Poo museum was just eating dinner at that point ( thanks ) . Really looking forward to the rest of the series .
Welcome to what I call "Derbyshire at the seaside", the place I have been lucky enough to call home for 38 years. I may have been born a Derbyshire lass, but I am now very much an "Overner". I really enjoyed this video, you showcased this part of the island so well and highlighted a few places that the majority of TH-camrs do not when doing their coastal walk. The drone footage is always a nice addition, allowing us to see places from different angles. I am looking forward to the next one.
Extremely well produced and full of interesting dialogue, brilliant work. I'm coming home to the Island next month (now live in Canada) there's always something to explore.
I have cycled around the island back in the late 1980’s and have travelled on the Isle of Wight Steam railway in the last couple of decades. Nice to see a decent walk at last which I might be able to cycle on some sections!
Hi great video, how many hours did it take to actually do the walk from Shanklin to Bembridge and how many miles? It would be good to add to your videos Thanks Andrew A new subscriber 😊
I'm a bit confused. At the start of the video, if you were facing east, how could you possibly have been looking toward Plymouth? Unless I misheard you.
This is great ... How many people can say " I went to a museum today, it was shit! , but I loved every minute"
Ha ha ha ha I was in disbelief when I saw it 🤣

@@orwellboy1958 thanks very much. I got quite a bit done whilst I was there
Went to IOW Bembridge in 60s with Boys Brigade it is a magical coastline after my usual east anglian saltmarsh etc..
There's definitely things to go back for too
Have lived on the iow (Bembridge and binstead) for 25 years. Wouldn't move for the world.
