I have the same problem but mine was both buttons. I do not need to replace the board or encoders to fix it. I sprayed electronis cleaner directly over the encoder and press them repeatedly. Repeat a few times, re-assembled and both buttons work perfectly
These are quite well built and not to hard to work on. After the AC power supply mine failed - the charger still worked from DC - I replaced it with a slightly higher power one in the same size from CUI sold by Digikey. The problematic rotary encoder works a bit better after quickly spinning it in both directions for a while, probably by cleaning the contacts a bit.
Seems reliance on donor boards is a fate for many electronic devices at today. Because there is no chance to get circuit and PCB diagrams and especially - firmwares for myriad of controller chips used in them. Good job BTW.

Thx mate, would never found the 2 screws under the display!
awesome job. I got a pair of bad hotas, making me want to try to make 1 working one with them.

Do you have a link to the replacement power supply you used?

How much do you charge my A\C power went out.

NICE!
Mine just cut off while balancing any ideas?
I have the same charger but my fan stopped working and will only charge at 0.2 amps
