    Oregon doesnt play to injure other players.... they just heard the narrative all offseason that we arent physically able to compete in the big10!!! So thats why they play so hard. I hope your guys arent seriously injured and i hope you guys win out!!! Best of luck and Scooo ducks!!!

    Oregon was playing a lot of depth pretty early in the 3rd. Being realistic, Oregon could have hung 50 on Illinois. They were trying to keep guys healthy, stay vanilla and not show too much.
    I don't know why Illinini fans would give up on 10-2. Oregon is frickin loaded with twitchy athletes.

    Duck fan here. You all had a good second half. A 10-2 season would be great. The game was won by the team with 5x more future NFL players. No shame in losing when that's the case.

    As an Oregon State graduate and a new member of the Gies MBA program, I’ve seen the Beavers in similar situations-they always play tough games against the Ducks. From the start, it felt like Illinois was a bit tentative, despite having a great season and strong recruiting. However, both Oregon State and Illinois share that underdog mentality and grit, allowing them to compete at a high level, even against teams like the Ducks. I’m excited to be back in the same league as the Ducks, UW, and the traditional Big Ten members. I’m looking forward to seeing how we progress during my time here at U of I, and I’m thrilled to be representing that orange and now blue (OSU was black).

    I don't think it was a bad loss. The Ducks scored 3 points in the second half. They turned the ball over on downs two or three times. It could have been 60-3 but the defense stopped them.

    another general data point from bigTen-wide conference matchups this weekend? the assertion by fans of the 4 new (western-based) bigTen teams: that orig.BigTen pass defenses aren't great was reaffirmed as LBs & DBs for both illinois & rutgers were punked. examples: missed assignment (eg, illini lb, #4, on tezJ. crosser), or gave up inside leverage (illini cbBrooks on td pass down the middle) or were run over (#10, sittou[?]) by the 'soft', ex-pac12 rb whittington at the illini 1-yard line - 😂.

    • @wademitchell6335
      @wademitchell6335 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I do think USC and UW are going to be very competitive in the B1G. USC is figuring out that they need to put together a defense that competes at a different level than what they had in the PAC 12. Washington played in the natty and got exposed by Michigan defensively. They will figure it out. Offense was everything in the PAC 12 with the exception of Utah who always brought it defensively. The PAC 12 was a track meet. Who could outscore each other and make a timely stop. The B1G is different and if you're going to compete for B1G championships you better compete defensively. Oregon had a bit of a head start with Lanning and Cristobal beefing up the trenches and mix it with speed. I think Washington and USC will be fine, but it might take a year or two. UCLA is a different story all together. Too many issues with that program to get into here.

      @@dennisgriffin6742 No chest puffing here. that said, so many teams have plenty of NIL $ compared to Oregon. By talking about "NIL disparity" you are basically negating (at least it seems so) how well-coached the players are, that it's the $$ on the field, and that the players aren't any good. NIL may play a part in recruiting players, but those players don't all play at an elite level without woking on improvement every week, and coaching must be sound. If players don't "buy in" or work hard, all the NIL in the world won't help. We have high school recruits who are working hard to improve, as well. Even with so-called "NIL disparity" look at our 2 games of the season. No one bought their way out of those hard fought/terrible games!! Like all teams, we have also had elite players in past seasons before there was ever NIL. Before you speak, think about using a spirit of a sound mind. I get your POV but disagree
