After a lot of hard work and a crazy amount of drawing (this video contains over 1200 images, and my folder for the project is over 5.5 gigabytes in size), we finally bring you Rainbow Dash Presents: Captain Hook the Gorilla Biker (which is secretly Rainbow Factory -- don't tell Equestria Daily)!
This is also our first Rainbow Dash Presents to feature animation and a scratch-built song. We've all spent many long hours working away at this thing, so there's not much left to say but that I hope all our effort lives up to our hopes!

It doesn't cease to amaze me how this story is more in character than the actual Rainbow Factory story. The ponies in charge of the rainbow machine have clear regrets and aren't just doing it for their own evil enjoyment, and Rainbow Dash is way more in character here, trying to delay the death as long as she can and breaking down into tears multiple times.

I rewatch this allll the damn time, I remember the artist asked people for their ocs to put in as background characters and I was so happy when my character Starshine made it!! (you can see her throughout but closeup at 16:19 ) I was 11 and it was the biggest flex when I came to school that morning and showed my friends

Saw this when I was 10. I didn’t understand anything. But I loved it. Now that I’m watching it and I understand everything, it’s really funny.
Rewatching this after about 10 years. I can understand it on a deeper level than I ever did and it has made this so much more enjoyable!
I bought the RDP dvd a few years ago and watched every episode over and over, mostly because I was bored, but also because Dawnsomewhere's animations were my introduction to the brony fandom back in 2011. I'm still very nostalgic and thankful for all the great jokes and funny quotes that ended up around the community, although I feel like even then, he deserved more. The last several years have been a bumpy ride to say the least, as I grew up and left for college... but I'm glad these videos are still up. Thank you, Greg. For everything.
