500 horse power for a 2 litre engine is insane 😳 Edit: just remembered the gr yaris that pushes about 630 hp from a tiny 1.6l i3, nearly the same size as a 120hp corolla with a bit tinier 1.5l i3 lol
@@pilot554 You can tune the ECU to retard ignition and match the RPM to speed in next gear, basically doing a rolling launch control at perfect RPM for the next gear while you shift. My tuner can setup stuff like this and it almost feels like you're on boost and accelerating constantly without clutch kicking feel every gear change

I would do same, rather be slower on street but reliable.
What turbo is actually on that? It’s only spooling above 6K and laggy on shifts. Expect that off something like a PT6466 on a 2.0L which are closer to 1000bhp on a decent setup.
This Honda Civic with the K20 engine and an important tuning will also be fast and powerful. Personally, having a car with an engine that I can use from 5000 rpm to 7500 rpm to get a bit of "happiness" seems to me a lot because then driving it to the city, or perhaps in traffic with repeated starts from a standstill using the engine between 1000 rpm and The 4000/4500 rpm with the probable and accentuated turbo-lag the car will be somewhat clumsy and unusable, because it is necessary to constantly use accelerator, gearbox and clutch to make it move adequately.
This car needs a smaller turbo. The turbo is far from done when the car hits redline. I'm sure you can get boost over a wider powerband with a smaller turbo.

Make column shit great again. Such tall gearing and late boost kinda defeats the purpose of a hot hatch. I would be really curious to see it on the nurburgring as well as backroads to see if it can be more than a straight line queen. An ep getting to those speeds probably does surprise a bunch of people though. Turbo k always sounds sweet with that throaty tone.

There is definitely more potential in this car. My 450hp ep3 was doing 8.5s 100-200kmh. She is forged now running 570hp haven't tried 100-200 yet

Should start from 100 and not rolling from 60 and then start tho. Great fun car but would be more fun and usable to have boost earlier.
