The dynamics when Tom first comes in with the melody, what a flipping beauty of a performance. Love the covers Martin does with his supergroup. Modern legends.
In the past . I'd only play through tube amps. CARVIN,MESA,FENDER,etc. But in the last 5 years I've had to sell all my tube amps. Had a baby boy and lost my music room. Any who. Im so glad laney are back and better than ever. Marshall is now a bt speaker maker. We need a british amp company to continue the the legacy of british amps.
@@fallenstard not really suited to rock and metal. But i love vox amps too. But for roaring classic "marshall" style tones, laney are the next best thing.
The current (make in the UK!) Lionheart amp is absolutely fantastic and this pedal seems indistinguishable from the valve amp. It does do cleans very well (not Fender cleans, more Vox-y) but the overdrive channel is also fantastic, and with a boost can get well into hard rock territory - it's an extraordinarily versatile amp. I think Laney have been a bit ignored so it's good to see them getting some exposure - they really are doing amazing things, and they seem to have been very successful in re-shoring their manufacture from the Far East.
One of the best video i have seen this year. They are incredibles and this new loudpedales too. It's crazy to such a beautiful sound from a so little box. It's so versatile. Thank you a lot i think it will need to have another video video to ear well all the differences in details of the sound they have one in front of the other. But thank again it's a wonderfull video 🙏👍😉

Im waiting Long for this Episode. Perfekt laney duo and Both my Inspiration. Im so thankfull that makes a laney tour again. I Hope this duo comes to Bavaria to.
My pet peeve about all that stuff, is the damn power supplies! I want an IEC plug, even if it means you have to make a bigger enclosure! I'm so tired of power supplies that go bad! I got a Voctory V4 AMP and whats first to go wrong? The power supply!
@@imjustherefortheks, it doesnt feel cheap when you get it. Its heavy like a gold brick. It is well made. That said, I sent mine back to Sweetwater for exchange due to what seemed to be a power supply issue. Sounded great out of the box though!
@@MikeTheEarGuy The pedal looks great, it is beautiful, but the fact that you have a pedal that big and still need a separate power supply to run it, makes it look "cheap"... Like those chinese mini-amps... They should make it with a built-in power supply...

okay so I DO see the additional funtionality of these: IR loader with an app, midi switching, reverb built in, that's all real useful stuff for live gigging musicians - and made in the UK is a nice additional feature as well. however, I feel like the Ironheart isn't a major upgrade to the first gen loudpedal, for half the price, at least for most use cases: playing into a cab in the backline and having the xlr out as additional thing-y. Goes to show how great of a deal that thing already was. Of course, if you're the kind of player who does not use cabinets anymore and are invested in IRs very much, then this thing is a no brainer. IR loader AND midi switcher for setting up tones with different IRs is a ridicolously cool feature that gives you so much range.
I think these new amp pedals (this and the Quilters) sound better than most solid-state amps. I think they can satisfy the advanced player, but are an amazing choice for new players.
Class D is digital, however the name was chosen. The input is converted to a PWM signal triggering MOSFETs at very high frequency, and that signal is low-pass filtered to produce the output.

I was very excited when these came out but I was hoping the price would be cheaper, like maybe under 300, because the older Foundry Loudpedal was only a bit under 200 😅 I hope Laney continue making another cheaper version, maybe with different preamp color🤘

Not sure why Lee *always* has to frame products like this negatively. He'd only be interested in using it if tube amps were forbidden? It's just a weird attitude given that he's flanked here by 2 world-class working guitarists who choose to use this stuff. It's not a compromise. These things are legit in their own right.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. I would much rather hear Pete demo a product any day.
The tone of the guitars is much too "chingy" (especially Tom's). it's kind of both nasal and sibilant simultaneously. Needs more fullness and EQ balance. Some woodiness should be detectable - even in an electric guitar.
Thanks for having us, Lee! It was a lot of fun.

Not for those of us who had to listen to it. The good news is Andy Summers isn’t in his grave having to do a 180.
