I couldn't wait last week and read the article. Man, can't wait for the next chapter. I'm guessing its something like "Adam El Asem and the 7th Floor of the Department of Abnormalities"
@@NolanRyanVA That's a separate article. Kaktus gave previews of both on twitter, there's going to be one PRESUMABLY about Sarrus von Apollyon IX and then one about Asem on the 7th floor.
@@NolanRyanVA Actually I think it’s The Last King of Night that’s in the seventh floor of The Department of Abnomalities. Not only because Adam El Asem was imprisoned in Titania’s Prison until he escaped sometime in 2015 and the DoA most likely shut down decades ago, but also because of this one quote from SCP-5935. “There’s a dark room in a site without a designation where a stone tomb rests beneath a mile of rock and iron. In that tomb is a creature, something that was perhaps once beautiful and regal but is reduced to little more than the space in which it exists, if that. They thought they were clever, burying it like they did. But I know the way in. I found the way down to where the Last King of Night lies sleeping, and I listened. He does not speak, but he will tell you things. That’s how I know.” It makes more sense once you have all the facts.
each cell in the human body contains this 1.5GB of data, and there are 40 trillion cells. This works out at 60 zettabytes of information, or 60 followed by 21 zeros you literally had me looking this up over coffee this morning hearing the beginning of part 2. I cant unlearn this now
"60 followed by 21 zeroes" is like, borderline insulting to be honest, lol. Who even says that? Isn't it 6 followed by 22 zeroes, 6e22, or even 6 × 10²² (the proper way)?
Most of that can be compressed down, and you're encoding differences, position, and a bunch of other factors I can't think of. And you also have to encode every xenogenic, so bacteria, food, &c. So a simplistic look at the amount of data in a single cell wouldn't work. We're eusocial colonies in a way.
Personally hope there is some sort of way to help Hector separate from his Demon. Sorta silly but a like "Final Battle" with Ogier and Hector going against the other two corrupted Knights is a very cool mental image.
I actually hope he finds a way to separate himself from his demon too. The guy went through so much all in the name of his king that he was forever loyal too, even going as far as to trap himself underground to keep a great ancient danger sealed away. I say he deserves a reward for all that he’s done for us. He’s is indeed a hero!
I think its alrright that Hector is still a Demon as from what i remember he still has his wits with him i mean killing and essentially enslaving a goddess to imprison an evil race is far harder to do than taming the demon he was cursed with it would be cooler if he still remained a demon but has the will power to overcome whatever he was cursed with and use that power.
It's certainly a possibility knowing Kaktus' writing, but I personally see Hector as a "corrupted" hero, maybe akin to an anti-hero with more integrated negative traits. Dude has been trapped in hellish cavern, buried in a tree that has been burning his lower body for millions of years, and spewing acidic fog onto his upper body for the same amount of time. I have no doubt his loyalty and actions will remain righteous; he's probably the last character in the series that would ever turn from his original intent. I think instead, from the perpetual torment and single-mindedness of his character, he doesn't have much capacity to return to a more balanced form. The best thing IMO is for the foundation to (excuse my probable lack of understanding here, parts of this series go wayyy over my head) use the closest replacement to his king, either in Seth or just convincing Hector that the foundation has some legitimacy in ordering him as his "king". I think his loyalty is the only thing holding him together at this point, and they will have to give him something to direct it to in the future.
@@sussinhardrn1048 I think it's important to remember that Hector's loyalty is to a pair of monstrous Sky Kings, who in their cruelty, greed, and hubris brought about the utter undoing of their world and that of the Fae. He is a better man than those to which he pledged his undying loyalty to, and in their names he has done more good than they ever did.
To be quite honest, I think this is the best SPC ever. Not the understanding behind the SPC coming to a climax, and having a lead to another. The imagery and the idea is fantastic. To myself this is the pinnacle of the SPC foundation and it's logs

Man, this is such a fascinating side of the scp universe it's fascinating to uncover. It's by far one of the longer collections to binge listen to but i think it would come together so perfectly if I would do so one day.
Amazing as always man. Still pinching myself that we have the stories of all four knights of Apollyon. I can't wait for the tale of Adam El Asem, the brothers Three, and The war between Calvin and his former allies.
It’s crazy that we’re already up to the 7000 digits! This shows how dedicated and loved this community is, and let’s hope it continues to get larger for many years.
This was brilliant. Mangg you should really do a consolidated timeline of the whole Kaktusverse. It's the greatest project in the SCP wiki without a doubt. I'm going to go listen to the Ouroboros Cycle once again now.
That's twice now that the Foundation has almost caused an Apocalypse by screwing around with Antediluvian anomalies. Once with Titania, and again with the King in Red. Get it together fellas. Sheesh.
So a lot of major faction seems to be getting their own divine figure in the Kaktusverse. The Mekhanites have the Broken God (otherwise known as Mekhane or Wan), the Sarkic Cults have Yaldy, the Daevites just got the Scarlet King (which is pretty unique next to his other entries in the SCP multiverse), the Fairfolk have Gaea, their hairy abominations hijacked Ea (aka Titania, aka the God of Stars, aka a giant wish-granting tree), and Adam & his successors had IS. I wonder if we'll get other stuff like this (the God of Ice from Adam's giant floating city still needs explaining, to my knowledge).
Also, there's one other entity whose followers (if any) are unknown, IS NOT. The best I have are the Pattern Screamers, considering their (current in respect to the SCP universe) nature, though they've only had one mention so far in SCP-4840, referring to the old passageway in the sealed chamber of Audapaupadopolis's Old Library.
@@barraki6706 It was said that IS and IS NOT generated Paragons and that these Paragons and their descendants eventually generated the gods. I think that all the horrors trapped bellow the earth, including the profanities that answered to the Fey princess, the Last King of Night that influenced the SCP-1000 dudes and the Scarlet King, are all descendants of IS NOT. It makes sense with the general theme of living things (aka descendants of IS) being repulsed by the mere presence of all of them. Just a theory tho (and no, not a game theory xD)
It really truly is. I've listened to 4840 and 6666 multiple times. It took me a couple attempts to finish this one because of my unfortunate tendency to fall asleep while listening to something I've been looking forward to hearing (mostly new TES SCP videos).

That’s how I know.”
It makes more sense once you have all the facts.
Oh I cant wait to finally see Adam El Asim in these stories. Djkaktus has to be one of my favorite SCP authors.
Here we go again in a vastly improved start of the week. The exploring series made Monday a good day
each cell in the human body contains this 1.5GB of data, and there are 40 trillion cells.
This works out at 60 zettabytes of information, or 60 followed by 21 zeros
you literally had me looking this up over coffee this morning hearing the beginning of part 2. I cant unlearn this now
"60 followed by 21 zeroes" is like, borderline insulting to be honest, lol. Who even says that? Isn't it 6 followed by 22 zeroes, 6e22, or even 6 × 10²² (the proper way)?
@@shambhav9534 The 99% of the population that never uses scientific notation?
@@giliansterckx Look, saying 60 followed by 21 zeros has more mental overhead than saying 6 followed by 22 zeros or 6e22.
Man this channel always post right at the perfect time. One of the best channels on TH-cam
I love the part where Ogier says "It's orgiebin time".
Truly the story of all time.
Oh man. The Exploring Series is too good to us!
I'm kinda hoping Ogier can free all of them, then the 4 fight together against the Profanities
35:21 - placeholder timestamp pls ignore
this is awesome btw
To be quite honest, I think this is the best SPC ever. Not the understanding behind the SPC coming to a climax, and having a lead to another. The imagery and the idea is fantastic. To myself this is the pinnacle of the SPC foundation and it's logs
Might the eternal light of Asem shine upon us! What a treat these videos are.
Agreed!
I got chills when the department of abnormalities was mentioned. Can't wait for the next entry into this canon!
I'm blessed to live listening to this man's voice talking about scary monsters and mind numbing fictional science while I try to sleep at night.
The Paragon Project is one of my absolute favourite arcs in the SCP universe, been listening to your videos in podcast form the last couple of days covering it. Amazing work mate, truly fantastic.
Me getting excited for another 1hr+ long Exploring Series video knowing well I won't finish the video because I will be read to sleep:
Anytime I see ES updates pop up on my line, I pause what I'm doing, put on the kettle and cozy up. Absolute perfection.❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
"No power remains in this world that can contest a true god, even one who has died."
That has to be one of the best SCP lines written to date.
This is a little detail I noticed but somewhere around 43:00 he says "They stopped" and at the same time the background noise stops. It was probably just the track looping but it was strangely impactful.
Thank you for continuing to make this awesome content! Looking forward to this one.
YESSSSSS!!! I just finished reading this yesterday and I'm so unbelievably happy to see you covering it again. It's definitely taken a spot in my top 5 Scp's. I love everything about Project Paragon!
This long form narrative in the cactus verse is a blessing and I hope to get more this is the kind of writing I want to see made in to live action that stays true to the material 🙏 🙌 👌
djkaktus really can't avoid going full anime in his stories, can he?
The contrast between the heavy Soulslike lore and the crazy anime fight between super saiyan Ogier and Mega-Satan is hilarious and awesome
Part of me wants the Kaktusverse to get made into some kind of streaming series, but then the rest of me sadly acknowledges that there is no way anyone would be able to get it right.
If you can give Kaktus himself a couple hundred million dollars, he can probably do it
This was a good reminder to go finish part one that i left at half...
26:25 Random fact: Twas I who broke the leg.
" Φ-19 Brave: There was a- a uh, some kind of rumbling, and then the floor underneath us went out. Fell pretty far - I was hooked up to my harness, and so was Orca, but Krueger fell down somewhere underneath us. We’ve been able to talk to him and Cap, but their radios are fucked and we can’t get down to where they’re at. I think Krueg has a broken leg, he was shouting pretty bad at first. I’m here with Orca, we’ve got Nano and Marshal with us, managed to catch them, Xhu is still up top but his transponder got hit and is busted pretty bad."
"My leg" _Spongebob character.
R.I.P. Ash Krueger.
Hi Ash ! I'm Andry
No clue how the Foundation would let any of their agents on TH-cam 🤣
@@TheCrazyCapMasterobviously the kaktusverse is foundation disinformation
Wouldn't Ogeir be able to help with the chains of the devourer (SCP-2317-K) since it's Erikeshan thaumaturgy?
"Mall with the deer in it careful" God I hope it's not like Rituals, because the one that would know silence is genuinely scary. (It's also one of my favorite exploration logs)
I'm not sure if 2317 is part of the Kaktusverse canon, though I could be wrong.
@@NolanRyanVA It could very likely be a part of it, considering DJKactus wrote the article and as already mentioned above, referenced in the actual Ogier article.
Update: Whoops, mixed it up with “Rituals”. Never mind!
@@NolanRyanVA it doesn't necessarily needs to be a DjKaktus SCP, as he could simply reference it anyway. Necessary changes can easily be justified with a "this document is actually falsified" approach, similar to the Montauk-110 procedure
@@sparking023 Actually I always believed that SCP-2317 was a champion of The Scarlet King or at least a physical avatar he created.
@@undeadprinceofchaos3731 I kinda subscribe to this idea as well
I really appreciate the explanations at the end of the videos because I can only remember like 4 names at a time and get confused throughout the stories
I totally get that feel.
I have no words to express how stuned i felt at the end. My new favourite scp hub without a doubt. And congratulations for your channel, easely the best storyteller of scp out there.
I use project paragon to introduce people to SCP so thanks for giving us such a complete breakdown of the best the SCP foundation has to offer.
Is it just me, or does the throne name remind the of The Malidramagiuan, another one of kaktus' creations?
I am beyond excited for the next part of the story!! Thank you for covering all of this so thoroughly!
I had a kind of cascading realization after you mentioned Adam for the first time, brought on by my own erroneous conflation of Adam and Abel. "Ain't that the guy in the coffin? No, wait. Adam?! Adam's Abel's dad. *Oh FuCk*"
10/10 love the long videos, we know it’s a lot of work and we appreciate it and we appreciate you
This article is absolutely amazing, truly some of the best writing
I love these long videos! I always listen to them to pass the time while im working
as you said, this is surely a hell of a ride, def can't wait for the next installment of this series "The Demon Apollyon & The Body of Man"
btw loved ur voiceover on Ogier's Lingering Light mode lol, sends down shiver on me. Shit is good like Hector's.
Edit: I also think that Ogier fully give in into Asem's Lingering Light that dwells within him and manage to purify the curse and the old fae god aka the demon, fully remade it into his now divine image. Asem's Light is beyond both the curse itself & the King in Red's power.
I hope there'll be moment where Divine Ogier purify his brothers, gonna be cool
Except Lancelot. Fuck that guy.
Hollywood seems afraid of anything other than Disney remakes these days.
Measured in thumbs, who else would be up for a Kaktusverse mini-series?
the only other story that's gotten me this excited over what happening next was Amoni-Ram and it's one of my absolute favorites another that I love is Apotheosis . it may have something to do with being totally disabled and stuck on my ass but there story's that get me excited about what could be even if it's all fiction but that's what a good story and good story telling is all about
I feel like, at some point djkaktus will release a massive SCP where this all finally comes together.
Agreed.
YEEEEESSSSSS, I've finally made it within seconds, now I can finish the night shift off RIGHT!!!!!
Good God dude! Somehow you've taken this expansive, complicated as fuck story and broken it down into easily digestible and understandable pieces without losing the drama and excitement of the actual entries. You have all of my respect Mr Exploring, all of it. DJK created this verse and all the players in it, but you are the worthy record keeper of it all. Excellent work and wonderful job with the grandiosity of the Demon voices :D
I've been waiting for this since your reading of SCP 6666 (which btw I've listened to more times than I can count) and it's another genuine masterpiece!! Thank you so much for these incredible videos ~
Can't believe I'm still awake for this drop. Thanks Mengg, I've been needing a sleep aid
I love how in all of this DJkaktus is giving a reason why humans seem so central to many anomalies.
Adam was a God among Gods, powerful and great.
It's also interesting that the zombie of the Scarlet King is apparently less of a threat than this old human person.
I wonder if he is trapped in the Department or sitting there willingly
The Kaktusverse just keeps getting more interesting.
This SCP is so interesting! Thank you once again for this incredible rendition of it 😊
I read "Throne of Malidraug" as "Throne of Maulding" at first glance. Thankyou internet for ruining this experience for me.
ps: best narration as always.
King in Red definitely be maulding though 🤣
bro the foudation dived into exploring an area with possible relation to the scarlet king and sent a team of 7. And they thought things would go correctly???
Thank you so much for all you do. These make my week so much better. I love hearing your tales.
Fantastic series. You knocked it out the park!
5:42 - "I bid ye awaken, if you would" Now that I think about it, this DOES have sort of a Prince Lothric vibe to it. ('My brother, unyielding sword of Lothric's prince. Rise, if you would, for that is our curse') DJkaktus really is good at doing Soulsborne-y stuff.
This was quite a bit more interesting than the first part
I'm glad I watched both of them now
Awesome part 2! Ich hab 's net geguckt, awwer denki ferm Video
Literally just constantly the best most enjoyable content in this field. Amazing work.
I'm loving all the bespoke / custom artwork for important scenes.
Man, this is such a fascinating side of the scp universe it's fascinating to uncover. It's by far one of the longer collections to binge listen to but i think it would come together so perfectly if I would do so one day.
This has been amazing I truly hope that there will be a follow-up on this series again amazing work
The change in ambience audio at the word "shift" is just (chef's kiss)
Amazing as always man. Still pinching myself that we have the stories of all four knights of Apollyon. I can't wait for the tale of Adam El Asem, the brothers Three, and The war between Calvin and his former allies.
This has to be my favorite SCP story so far.
We've come a long way from short articles to full on tales within the articles. Can't wait to see what Series 8 brings
We've gone from snappy peanut and angry lizard to a full on universe
I expect Rounderhouse's The House Loses and Locke's Grand Symphony
There's also a new SCP-001 proposal!
@@NolanRyanVA also a new canon!
You know it's good when even with the lengthy explanation, I only sort of understand it. This was great as always. I'm excited for the next part.
Great vid.
I'm new to the SCP Foundation, and this story arc is bloody marvelous.
Actually got chills on this one
Ogier: *_"BUUUU-RYYYY THE LIIIIIIGHT DEEP WITHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!..."_*
Thanks I appreciate the effort you make to create this content
Almost an hour and a half and a kaiju fight? Exquisite meal if I do say so myself
@@barraki6706 true, and Pattern Screamer is an entity that doesn't exist, hence, that which IS NOT.
I wonder if these SCP lores and timelines gets to be a tv series someday.
I waited a week to listen to the second part and I am not disappointed.
The Kaktusverse is pretty damn good writing, even among a lot of the stellar writing of the SCP universe.
It really truly is. I've listened to 4840 and 6666 multiple times. It took me a couple attempts to finish this one because of my unfortunate tendency to fall asleep while listening to something I've been looking forward to hearing (mostly new TES SCP videos).
I will be free. I will reclaim my kingdom, this world. You all will be reminded of my name. I am Adam El Asem.
Whisper: I am Alpharius.
I look forward to this, I like this series of interconnected stories/storyline
