This is exactly the problem with my 2014 Meriva. I don’t know if I’m confident to do it myself but due to my local dealership wanting £99 just for a diagnostic ( bloomin car is still under warranty for what ever that is worth) I’m going to be a big brave girl (well 77 year old pensioner 😃) and order the bits. Thank you for posting.
How do you replace the broken clip. Sounds daft. But I've bought 6to replace. This video saved me £90 pound. Just stuck on the clips I'd be grateful if you could help thanks
When you take off the panel and look at the clips there is a piece of plastic you Push down and the clips slide out sideways. When you slide them back in the should automatically clip in.
Thanks for another Meriva vid, does the 1.4 turbo make much difference to performance and reliability to the std 1.4 ? Not sure which petrol one to buy....cheers again !
You get a lot more torque with the turbo versions. The 118 bhp turbo has a 5 speed box, the 138 bhp turbo has a 6 speed box. The standard 1.4 is less complicated and has a standard flywheel, turbo versions have dual mass flywheels. Repair bills will be higher with the turbo versions if something goes wrong but are much nicer to drive. I had the same dilemma of choosing between turbo and non turbo, I wanted the Turbo version but my head ruled my heart for once 👍 Hope that helps.
Important note, whatever car / trim you are working on, buy genuine clips for replacement where needed. There are plenty of super cheap imitation clips out there, but they never fit as well.
Hi just wondering where you purchased the jets from ,online or main dealer as I have the same problem with my meriva 👍can't seem to find the parts online
Just followed these instructions. Brilliant. Thank you so much for this
Glad it helped 😃

Another case of not if but when it goes, which seems to happen alot with my Meriva 👍
You are right, it seems to have quite a few common issues. 👍
Nice find with that crack.
Thanks for the video Mate 👍

Good point, mind you the original clips are pretty expensive for some reason. 👍

They were on eBay, I will take a look and see if I can find a link.
leadercomponents.com was selling them on ebay but they are all out of stock . Main dealer should have them though.
Ok thanks for help, as you say out of stock will try dealers 👍
