Both are great. Pre-Timeskip mostly encases the Straw Hats building their crew and it showcases their fun personalities and how interacting with each other changed their lives. Post-Timeskip has been dealing with mostly world building. The history of the world, and introducing new characters that will ultimately lead to the finale. Each have their good and bad points and I don’t think it’s a fair comparison to make, because each part of the story has its own purpose.
