- A-Wax talks about his whole music journey and how it all started in the back seat riding around with his friends and when he was locked up. When he was released from being locked up he was connected with Woodie from Antioch through a mutual friend. He mentions working with other Bay legends such as The Jacka & Rydah J. Klyde from Pittsburg, CA. He mentions how Woodie was a CEO of his own record label East CoCo records. Woodie showed him how he started his label and how he runs it. A-Wax explains how he didn't know how came with sticking to an independent artist and running his own label. He says there were alot of times where others didn't believe in his vision but he had to dig deep and believe in himself. He thought it was going to be a smooth transition and money was going to come in fast. But, just like anything else it requires hard work. A-Wax mentions how he is always looking for new artist to sign. You just have to message him or get in with somebody he knows because he always got folks around him. I didn’t ask that question cause that’s not what my platform based on. Hella negative sh*t out in the world already. I chose to base the platform off motivation , inspiration & humbling beginnings to try to help those who face similar walks of life.

I think this interview was good. If I can drop two cents, invest in better Microphones, work on your lighting, and do a bit better research. 5:40 you said "When you hear all those names, everyone thought they was from the bay" which confused A-WAX because Jacka, Woodie, rydah j klyde ARE from "The Bay" \ Woodie (Antioch), and Jacka, Rydah J Klyde(Pittsburg) which are within Contra Costa County. So all of them are from "The Bay". A-Wax remained humbled and did not really try to make you feel stupid, which shows maturity and was very cool. Mistakes happen, overall, good job on this interview.

Appreciate your 2 cents. He knew what I ment when I said that tho. If you say Bay. It’s either Oakland or Frisco.. & if I gotta be correct on paper then Frisco is the Bay. But when I speak Bay terminology I don’t forget to say East Bay or North Bay or South Bay.. so when I said Bay it’s cause people thought the Jacka was from Oakland. Fun Fact tho: we went to shoot Salah Baby interview & A-Wax was there so he seen our get down & was down to shoot a interview randomly. 👌🏽👌🏽 appreciate you though.
