Hi Sr. Very good video. I wanted to help an 83 year old woman on 2011 Jeep Liberty 3.7. She took it to a shop where they replaced the starter, alternator and battery. $900 later, still no charge on the alternator. She took it to another shop, they said it was the Jeep's computer. Their quote was $1950. She can't afford lt. So I bought a regulator by-pass kit from the Alternator Man and installed a Ekfrm071Kit where I had to replace the drive on the alternator. The only mistake I did was when grounding the alternator the ground wire touched the alternator battery post already connected and hot. After I was done. The car has now a no-crank issue. I removed the starter, it's good, but noticed the small wire to the starter solenoid has no voltage when cranking. Thought of installing a push-start button just to get her car running. I'm not a mechanic. Any feedback would be grateful.
@nickstrada355 Did you make any progress? I had a similar scenario where I tried removing started without unplugging battery and had a few arcs. Of course I then unplugged the battery and then finished fixing what I was working on. Once I went to try start it, I, after much diagnosis, find that there is no signal going to the starter relay to cause the relay to actuate. I wonder if I fried something when I arced when removing the starter motor.
If your 2013 Jeep Wrangler is not cranking, but the lights and radio are working, there are a few possible reasons why this might be happening.
