- The last day in the workshop and it’s time to fire up the engine and see if it all works too. I got to ride the bike to test out some of its components and it runs like a dream but there are a few jobs that needs addressing in the winter when it will come back into the workshop for a full rebuild and engine strip down too.

Looking forward to the Rieju disassembly and resurrection ! I'd like to see a "walk around" your shop, and your tool sets. All the stuff you use to do that work, like specialty tools, and tools you fabricated yourself to avoid stupid high manufacturer prices. Having somewhat of a machine shop in my garage, I make all sorts of little specialty tools to do stuff. Often I find that for my vintage old 50's Norton (Whitworth) I have to fab up something special to work on that old bike, which right now is a basket case.
Yep got some future videos coming out about that too. Cheers
Good result, now you can asses what further work you want to do over the winter rebuild. Keep an eye on the auction sites and if you go to autojumbles for an engine or even another bike ( Thats how collections start LOL).
ha ha already started looking
Smart job
I have just recently bought one that needs a new engine so im trying to find where i can source an engine at the moment
cheers
out of interest ive had the same gear box issue as you and need to take it apart however can find no information on assembly and most importantly timing the engine may i ask how you managed to time the engine
Well done Alf, isn’t it a Yamaha engine in that? If so you should be able to get a manual for it from Yamaha ?
Cheers Dave. Yes in the LC version of this bike it is a Yamaha WR engine, but the AC is based off a Honda CG 125 and is actually a Chinese made engine I recently found out.
Mine was clicking aswell I thought jt might be due to having little oil so I topped it up but it still clicks. Is it not the engine knocking? Also I might of over filled the oil
Do you know where to get a throttle cable for these I just got the same bike
Try lpmx
Hi there did you have to buy a starter motor for yours I can't find one any way for my bike
no I had one. Try Chinese motorcycle parts suppliers
