I have been licensed for 25+ and got bored of doing hair many moons ago. In the last few weeks the idea of doing extensions appeals to me. Your video was excellent and is really pushing me behind the chair. Thank you madame!
Hello there! Oh my what a compliment that is! I am so glad to have re-inspired you in some way! I fully know what you are describing- I also became very bored with doing hair as well (I hated doing haircuts, blowouts) and struggled to find what it was I loved about hair again. I feel like extensions are so rewarding, to be able to help someone feel their best. And it’s a fun process too where you can get very creative! Let me know if you have any other questions, and best of luck! 💖💇🏼♀️
@@thegirlnextdoord I do have a question: where can I learn? I am feeling i tip and nano ring is up my alley...precice, cost effective, least damaging to the hair, repetitive and satisfying.
I would love to offer this to my clients This method looks like it would last the longest with the least amount of damage. But I would also incorporate a small dab of hair glue inside the microlink before securing the bead. Many people complain that they slip out and this seems like an answer to that 🥰❤️👍💯
A few years ago, I was diagnosed psoriatic arthritis, after having psoriasis all of my life. I'm only 30, but it causes my hair to grow very slowly. I don't highlight it, dye it, straighten it much, and only use sulfate free/natural hair products. I treat it like I need to,, trim it when it needs it, and it STILL won't grow!! I can get maybe half a foot per year, if that, have been growing my hair for almost 7 years, and it only reaches to halfway down my back, more medium length 🤷😭. I've thought about this doing these extensions for a long time, and this is one of the best hands on tutorials that I've seen. Definitely got a new subscriber! as I'm the family hair dresser, with no pay or training😄. This has always been a passion, and I can feel the love you have for this. Thank you for this video!!!👏👏👏
Hello hun! Wow, thank you so much for your comment, that means a ton! I wish you the best of luck with your diagnosis, I know how incredibly hard a health condition can be. I think you would be an amazing candidate for these extensions, it can give you length and some extra thickness as well! They will not damage your natural hair at all which is why I swear by them. And believe it or not, hair only grows a half inch a month so you might be right on target with your hair growth! I know how it feels though when you are trying to grow it but it feels as if it’s taking forever. Extensions are a great gift in this situation. You must have talent if you are the family hairdresser♥️ Thank you again for tuning in love! Xoxox
@@thegirlnextdoord I loved this video. It's going to make it much easier when I decide to do this, since I will probably try on my own...with help from my sister in law. I got a really bad "pixie cut" from a mall when I was 15. I wanted it short, but idk WHAT that lady was doing, thinking, smoking, or going for. She hacked my hair off so weirdly that I've never went back to a stylist, except to highlight more than one color. I've trimmed my own since then after I had to fix a haircut the day I got it. I cried for three days after that. I cut almost all of mine and my husband's family's hair, including our two kids.. My son rocks a frequent Mohawk at 6, andy daughter has an a line lob, lol. We have 17 siblings between us. He has 7, I have 10. So I get plenty of practice, and one of my sister in laws only comes to me now after I fixed a hack job she endured. She has waist length hair, and it devastated her, so we let it grow and layered it along the way. My hair is my passion, and making someone else feel that about themselves means a lot. Luckily I'm on a shot once a month for the PSA, so it is manageable, and I consider myself lucky since many others don't get the same😢. Thanks for the response. It's hard to find people who are genuine, and as beautiful inside as they are out.
Heya! How’s your hair now? On a “normal” head of hair, 1/2” a month is normal. So 6” a year is pretty normal. An inch every 2 months. How much does your stylist cut when you get it done? Does she cut more than what has grown? I do “hair dusting” or “just the sawdust” when cutting my clients hair.
Average rate hair grows is about 6 inches per year 😂 Some people just have hair that seems to grow a lot faster than that. Usually it's something internal, not external that is off. Vitamin D deficiency can cause hair loss or slowed growth, vit D, Biotin, Collagen, Saw Palmetto, these things will help your hair grow longer, thicker and healthier 😊 Hope this helps
Hello love! You are the sweetest, I truly appreciate the nice words! ♥️ Makes me so happy to hear. I try to help in any way I can! I hope you are staying safe and thank you again 😀Xoxo
Thank you for showing us the process. I've been considering some extensions but was afraid of the care and wear/tear on my real hair. You've given me so much more information and now I feel confident that I can add volume to my hair without damaging what little I do have. What should I look for in a salon or person who does extension?
GREAT JOB!!! I LOVE THE WAY YOU TEACH TOO! I AM BACK IN THE GAME AND AM A BRAND NEW (COSMETOLOGIST FOR ALMOST 19 YEARS) BRAND AMBASSADOR FOR DREAMCATCHERS HAIR EXTENSIONS, SO I AM JUST REFRESHING IN EVERYTHING I CAN!!
Hello Brandi! Thank you SO MUCH! That is so kind of you! I am so glad you found this video helpful ☺️ I have always wanted to try Dreamcatchers, they have such GORGEOUS hair! Best of luck in the extension field, they are so much fun! ♥️Truly my favorite! Xoxo
I love your video. I did hair in the 80’s so now you know i’m old lol. well over the years i let my license expire. I did send a previous text asking if i need a license or not. You are Inspirational, You speak well and make the video very interesting. You did an amazing job. By the way you have a tv voice.
Hello Alayna! 💖 Thank you so much, your comments have made my day! I am so sorry it took me some time to respond. Oh 80’s hair was the BEST, I am sure you rocked it back then! You are so sweet, thank you for such compliments. They truly mean so much! Especially the voice for tv one, totally made my day lol 💖
In recent modern life, many people choose to have short hair because it is more convenient for them in daily work. But, there are still moments that a dream of medium and soft hair suddenly appears in their mind, especially for big events. So, let *Beequeenhair* help you. With *16 inch hair extensions* , you can own mid-length gorgeous hair in just some minutes and become a main character in luxurious events.
Hello Rebecca! Wow, you are so incredibly kind, I cannot thank you enough for saying that💗 Yes I definitely will make another video with a close up of taking them out! I did make another video which shows some of that process but it’s not super close up, check it out if you’d like! I have 3 extension videos total ♥️🙂Xoxo
I wash my hair a lot and have cut my hair about a month and a half ago, and I’m really missing my long hair. I guess what two of my main concerns would be them poking into my scalp and how the extensions affect the washing process of my hair..
Hello love! ♥️ So the client I did extensions on in my video had the exact same concerns! She would wash her hair every day (before extensions). I advised her that in a perfect world, try to wash every other day if possible. But- You definitely can wash every day- but it may lessen the life of how long the extensions stay in if you aren’t careful. As long as you are very careful, you can wash every day. #1 tip is avoid getting conditioner on the beads/bonds, and only put conditioner on the mid shaft/ends. Also, avoid pulling and tugging on the hair when shampooing. Try more of a gentle lather and let the shampoo sit for a few moments before washing. My client is proof that you can wash often! They lasted her 4 months which is a super long time. As far as the beads poking, after the first week they begin to settle and you don’t really feel them any more! The first week is the hardest but once the hair begins to grow and the extensions settle- it’s like they’re not even there! ♥️
Lpg 8 Thank you so much! I am glad you found this video informational 😊 I am the same way! Any kind of extension definitely takes some getting used to- some are more uncomfortable than others but I find this to be the most comfy in my opinion!
Love your video. Can you explain what products are needed for proper maintenance? Or is there a difference in how they should wash their hair vs without extensions?
Hello love! Thank you so much for the kind words! 😘 As far as proper maintenance, a few very simple things to mention are: 1. Do not put conditioner on the top of the bonds, as this will lubricate them and cause the beads to lose traction (and they will slide). Conditioner on the hair and extensions are fine, just not up top where the beads are! 2. No scrubbing when applying shampoo, rather mildly rub the shampoo and let it sit on the hair. 3. Comb below the bead/bond gently when brushing hair. Sometimes I advise my clients to hold the top of the extension taught and brush the length of the hair so you’re not pulling at the hair. Also a side note- you can style normally, and applying hair oils below the bond/bead is no issue. And that’s about it! ☺️ Let me know if you have any other questions!💗
So beautiful 😍 I wanted to ask ....dose it hurt when u lie down....do u feel the extensions at all or u feel like it's your hair and u don't itch or bother u ?
Hello love! So it seems everyone has a different opinion, some clients say they feel pain for a few days and others say they don’t feel them at all! I know personally from when I do them to myself, the first few days I definitely know they’re in. A half head usually isnt as bothersome as a full head, but I definitely do feel them. After a week or so they usually stop being uncomfortable and I don’t even realize they’re in anymore. ♥️
I’m about to get these extensions in my hair!! I just have a question. If I were to put my hair in a pony tail would the extensions show? I loved this video thanks!!
Hello TJ! 🧡 Best of luck and I hope you absolutely love them! As long as they are put in correctly by the hairdresser, you should not see them at all. ☺️ They are places far enough away from the hairline so they should not pop through- if they do, just tease your hair a little bit and that should help!
Very informative. I think you said it will take 3- 5 hours to place new extensions. How much time for moving them up every three months? And did I understand it right that after 2 years entirely new extensions need to be put in? Thanks.
Hi Katsem! ☺️ Yes, that is all correct! Moving them up every 3 months is a bit quicker than the initial installation. I’d say moving them up takes about 2.5 hours. I’d say the initial installation averages at 3.5 hours (with cutting included). And yes, I’d say every 2 years is when we need to order new hair. It lasts a long time, definitely get great usage out of it!
Hi Nicole! That’s where it gets a little tricky. I’ve found everyone charges different prices for extension services. I personally charge differently for every client but try to stick with around $50-100 hour without the cost of hair. My prices are very low compared to others. I know several other hairdressers who charge between $500-3000. My best advice is to call various salons and get a quote before hand until you find a place that matches your price point!
Oh my lanta I absolutely loved the results! I had extensions for about 6 weeks and after about a week they really started to bother my head and cause itching. Idk if it was because of the kind of extensions my stylist used or what. I've been wanting to get them done again but I'm nervous because i dont want the itching to happen again, but I also dont want my hair extensions I have now to go to waist. Do you have any recommendations?
Hello Kiersten! Thank you so much for your comment, it was so sweet! 💕 Yes, you are definitely not the first to say that they can be itchy! 😔 I find the reason for the itch is sometimes if the weight of the extensions is too heavy, they tend to pull down on your natural hair, which causes itch and discomfort. Would you happen to know the weight of your extensions?! These are .7 grams, so they’re not all too heavy. Also the longer the extension, the more pull you’ll get sometimes. Keep me posted love! Also, You have such a pretty name, I love it! -Danielle ❤️
Nice video! Thank u! Question, if i need to put conditioner in my scalp be use otherwise I get dry flakey scalp, is that a problem. Like would putting it on my scalp definitely make the extensions fall out/ slide??
Hello Marylynn! ♥️ Pixie cuts are gorgeous, but can be tricky when it comes to extensions! Sometimes it’s a bit difficult to hide the extension and bead of the hair is too short. I’d say extensions may be possible if the hair is at least 3/4 inches. If you’d like, send me some photos of your hair and I can take a look and let you know! My email is thegirlnextdoord@gmail.com 💗😘
Hi Dominique! Thank you so much! ☺️ We used a tad less than 4 packs on this client, and each pack has 25 pieces so around I’d say around 85 pieces in total! ♥️
Great application! Very neat and tidy.. although i think you needed another couple packs of hair and to add more in front of her face as hair didn't blend very well with her own and double drawn hair would of given an even thickness from tip to bottom on extensions.. but other than that great colour blend and application!! 👏👏
Can u use extensions on very frizzy curly hair? If so could you please suggest a great place I can get some? I have extremely thin frizzy hair and am losing it all the time. I would love some thickness. Thank you!! Love your tutorial!
Hello love! Yes they can be used, companies make extensions now for all different types of hair textures! Donna Bella Hair (where I purchase mine from) sells both wavy and curly extensions. If you have a stylist who does extensions, she would be able to match your color and texture to what would be best for you. Since you feel that your hair is a bit thin, proper placement of the extensions is key! This can help add volume for you. I hope this helps! ♥️ I would suggest calling some local salons and asking if they do I Link individual hair extensions with silicone bead application. Also ask if they include the hair in their price, and go in for a consultation! The link to Donna Bella curly extensions is: donnabellahair.com/collections/22-i-link-curly Best of luck love! Xoxo
Danielle Lisa, can you possibly post a video on how to remove this type of extensions? Also, you said something about needing to “move them up” when it’s time for redo. Can you elaborate a little more on that? Thank you sooo much!!
Hell Kimi! Thanks so much for your comment! 💖 Funny enough I actually just posted a video recently where I remove the extensions and redo them (all in the same video! The link is: m.th-cam.com/video/lEkOJwH3wdw/w-d-xo.html Of course! “Moving the extensions up” means we have to loosen the bead that holds the extension onto the hair, and slide the bead and extension back up toward the root (Since the hair grows and a root forms). After you have extensions put in, they have to be redone in a few months and moved back up closer to the root. Some people reuse the same bead and slide the bead and extensions back up- but I like to use new beads every time (so technically I’m fully removing the bead and extensions and replacing, some people use move the beads up and reuse them.) I hope this makes sense! Please let me know your thoughts and any other questions you have! 😘 the video link above may help show the process of removing and redoing them!
Hello Veronica! Thank you so much love! Means SO much to hear! ☺️ I bought this flat iron from Salon Centric, it was actually a few years ago though! It is the Keratin Complex Flat Iron, you can purchase it at Ulta or online! ❤️
From now on, you don’t have to wait long time for hair growth and *Beequeenhair* will provide quality extensions for you. We offers *28 inch straight hair weave* and women having less and thin hair aren’t worried about their fashionable look.
I wish you would have given a very detail view of how the bead is applied to the tool & a slow mo view of how you get the bead from the tool into the hair...From my p o v I just see this bead get applied but can't see how it got there.
Hello! So sorry, the video wound up coming a bit darker than I would have liked. I will be filming a new video soon where I’ll be sure to show up close and very detailed how to apply the bead!
How many packs of extensions should you buy for short hair that will give it length and body? Also should You get 100g or 50g? I'm getting these extensions for my wedding..... Just want to know which is right for me..... Thanks 😊
I didn't know that you can keep them for months. That's awsome. Are they expensive i have a very long hair (almost my waist) and I bet this type that she use in natural hair is expensive. Also I don't have much hair. Did this work for people with thinning hair?
Best video! Just one question, how far apart should you part each layer as you go up? I have a rare thyroid disease which has left my hair about shoulder length and thin. My hair just won't grow. I haven't had to get a hair cut in over 7 years.
Do you have a link for the hair you buy. I’m a stylist and I just started doing microlink & Keratin bond extension installs. I know the quality of hair is extremely important for how long they last, the way the look & feel. A link for that would be great to compare what I get now.
Hello Tiffany! ♥️ Unfortunately I do not have a link where you can purchase from, but I can link the site I use. It is Donna Bella Hair Extensions and the type is iLink! You can find them here: donnabellahair.com/products/18-i-link-pro-straight-rooted-ombre-1b-60
Hello Ashley! 😘 I purchase my hair from Donna Bella Hair. All the items I use are also from their site as well, they are a one stop shop! The hair is great quality and their prices are extremely reasonable! 💖
When you say these extensions last for years, do you mean that you can reuse the extensions over and over or do you just leave them in to grow out for a really long time?
you can re-use the strands of extensions that are added to the hair. Every 2-3 months you should have the ring removed and move the extensions up toward your scalp as your natural hair grows.
Hello. Thanks for the video. One question, have you experience any hair loss with your extensions? I want to try them for the fist time but I am afraid of the extensions pulling on my roots and loosing hair when I take them out.
Hello Diana! 🤗 In all honesty, I never have experienced hair loss from these extensions! The reason I use/love these extensions so much is because I feel they actually help reduce hair loss! The extension is fastened so high up on the head, where your natural hair is strongest. The extensions are pretty lightweight and wouldn’t have enough weight to pull out your real hair. ☺️ The only time when you notice hair fallout is when you are having them redone- reason for that is, you naturally she’d 50-100 strands of your real hair a day. Since your real hair is also clamped taught under the bead, once the bead is removed you are combing out hair you already shed. It looks like it may be a lot, but it’s really 3 months of hair you shed all being combed out at once! Hope that makes sense! ♥️
My hair extension course has been cancelled but I’m still practicing, how much hair do I let down after I’ve finished one row , is it a lot or enough to cover ??? Thanks
Hello there! Ugh man I am sorry to hear your course has been canceled 😞 I make sure to leave at least 1/4 inch in between rows! The reason is, if you put one row directly on top of the one under it, they sit too closely and bunch up over the row underneath it. This causes the extensions to pop outward from the head. It creates sort of a “shelf” and the extensions bulge outward. By leaving just a 1/4 inch it takes care of that and it leaves room for them to rest naturally on the scalp 😊
Hi Danielle! You did such an awesome job in putting hair extensions! Looks so natural! Loved it! I’d like to have hair extensions and wondering if I could see you. Where are you located?
Hi love! So many people have different opinions on this, I know when I have had them I definitely felt them for the first week when laying down trying to sleep. It was painful at times but after the first week- I did not feel them at all. It takes some time for them to “settle in” and for your scalp to adjust to the weight of the hair. You can always start with a half head to test them out and see! 💖
Hello! This can be tricky. Are you looking g to change your entire hair color? If so, then no. The hair dye won’t color the pieces of hair under the bead, and will result in tons of spotting when taking them onto. However- If you’re just looking to dye your roots/new growth, it shouldn’t be an issue since the beads aren’t on your new growth.
Hello! In my opinion, they damage the hair less than any other type of extension. There is no glue, or bond melting involved so that’s why it’s my favorite extension type. There’s no damage to the hair after (if don’t properly) and the only hair you lose is from natural shedding while your extensions are in!💕 They’re always my go to.
Hi😁 great informative video. Thanks for making it. Can I get these kind of extensions if I bleach my hair?( From dark brown to blonde...its been years I've been doing this process) Thank👍💚
Hello Vera! Yes you can absolutely get them for bleached hair! ☺️ They make them in all hair colors, and they come in balayage, ombré, natural, so many to pick from that’ll match every hair color!
So i have medium to thick hair do i space out my beads or put them side by side and how much hair are you leaving in between each row or is there no loose hair between each row?
Hello Sammie! ♥️ I usually try and leave two inches between where the clients top part is. It also depends on whether the hair is thick or thin, as thicker hair gives me a little more leeway. ☺️ I always want to make sure the client can move their hair/run her fingers through the top without the beads sticking out. Hope this helps!
I just got the micro beads done, and I do like them, but putting my hair into updos is really hard, and sleeping in them is so uncomfortable and painful.
Hello Jennifer! Sorry to hear they were bothering you a bit!! That is normal though, the first few nights can be uncomfortable for some, plus having the extra weight on your hair makes your scalp a little sore as well. Have you noticed it got any better? After a week or so, a lot of people say you don’t feel them in anymore. Hopefully that was the case for you and they got a little more comfortable after a few days! ♥️
Hello love! Thank you so much for the kind words, means a lot! 🥰💗 All products from this video is from Donna Bella Hair Extensions! You can find everything on their site. The tools I used are the “The Luxe” and “The Loop” tool under hair extensions tools. The extensions are the “I Link”. The beads are the “silicone beads”. I hope this helps!! Any other questions let me know! 😘😘
Congrats!! It's been one of the best application! Keep doing well! How much hair do you think I need for a full-hair with thin hair? Thanks you help me a lot! :)
minnue Awh Thank you SO much love! Your positivity truly means so much! ♥️ I would suggest 4 packs, you may not need to use the forth pack but it’s always great to have as a reserve. Let me know how it turns out if you decide to go ahead and go the extensions! Xoxo ♥️
This video was very informative! My question is: Is this hairstyle easily removed, and would it be a good option for someone who likes to change their hair often? Also do you host actual classes for this , and if so where are they located?
Desssy Bee Just to let u know extension makes the hair thinner and eventually it will start to make it fall out.. U shouldn't put extension all the time. My daughter is half mexican half puerto rican. And she had long hair upto to her butt, she wanted to have thicker hair. She added 2 extra lines of extension. Now her hair is weak and thinner. She's buying shampoo to give her back the strong hair she had You need to go to a doctor and ask how long can you keep the extension in before u go bald from weak hair...
Cookie Ponce thank you !! I have heard that they affect some people that way unfortunately , like a lot of hairstyles there are a lot of variables that decide how the style affects each individual . Did she have any luck with the shampoo? adding some tea tree or peppermint oil to her regular oils may help. I’m actually a hairstylist they just didn’t teach this at my school so I was curious about the style & if I should add it to my services.
@@l.ponce1960 that’s because of poor maintenance and/or installation. I have been using micro links and clip ins since I was 16 for volume and my hair grows fine
Hello Sarah! The Micro links are the only method of extensions I do because there is zero damage to the natural hair. Typically the beads need to me moved up after 3 months. 💕
Hello Hillary! Thank you so much for the kind words! ♥️ Actually, it’s funny you asked- that was going to be my next video! It is possible, but certainly not easy and you get quite an arm workout! I set up 2 mirrors (one in front and one angled behind me) and that’s how I am able to see! It does take some time but it’s so worth it ☺️
How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on the hair, will it hold on the hair without falling off, does it get curly when it gets wet, does it feels like our own hair when we wear it and can it make hair worn?
Hello Leticia! 💖 Salons typically charge anywhere between $300-$2000 for this service (without hair included), it is whatever you feel comfortable with! I charge by the hour because a lot of factors can vary (thickness of hair, length of hair, desired look, etc) so each client will be different. A typical job runs between 3-4 hours, so just be sure that at the end of the day you are happy with the amount of payment you receive for half a days hard work! ☺️
Hi! Some people do notice the beads during the first week but after that it’s as if they’re not even there. 😀 You are able to wear your hair up, and style as you normally would!
hi, your video is much better than any others i’ve seen 💛 where did you get the tools to do this? i’ve seen some on amazon but haven’t seen great reviews! also do you place the extension above or below your section of hair? and lastly, i heard you said you use two different kinds of tools. what are they? i’m trying to find the best priced one :)
Hello Kate! Thank you SO much for the kind words! 💗 😘 The tools I bought are from Donna Bella Hair (the ones in the video I’ve had for years but they have nicer newer tools now on their site!) I used the Loop Tool and the Luxe Tool, along with the silicone beads. The link for the tools is: donnabellahair.com/collections/hair-extensions-catalog-tools-and-accessories-4-1-html I place the extension above the piece of hair, try and make the extension flush with the top of the bead so that it doesn’t poke the clients head! I didn’t show this in the video but I clip the top of the extension so it doesn’t stick past the top of the bead. Let me know if you have any more questions love! 💗 Xoxo
Hello love! Yes that is absolutely possible and I have done it may times before! The key is to make sure the top of the ombré matches your hair, so that it blends into each other. For example, if your real hair is dark brown, purchase extensions that start off dark brown at the top, and fade into whichever ombré color you wish! 😊♥️
Hello Madison! Thanks so much for your comment! 💗 A shampoo that helps add moisture to the hair is ideal, since the extensions tend to become dry over time. As far as care for the extensions, a few easy tips! 1. Shampooing and conditioning: No hard scrubbing up at the root (to avoid matting the natural hair and extension), and no conditioner up at the root of the extension (this will make the beads slide). 2. Brushing: You can brush beneath the bead, I usually tell my clients to use a paddle brush because the bristles are far apart which will lessen pull on the extensions. Also, I tell my clients to place their hand on the extensions and hold them against the head while brushing to avoid any pulling at the beads! 3. A good quality hair oil works WONDERS! My favorite is Moroccan oil! It gives the hair extensions the moisture they need (just be sure to have them apply below the extension beads). Otherwise it’s styling as usual! Hope this helps love!😘
Hello Elizabeth! I usually leave no less that 1/4 inch. If you stack the rows any closer, they will sit on top of each other and cause thickness. 1/4 does the trick perfectly! 🤍
Amazing video!! I've been meaning to put these extensions on, I have only one questions though :) Do you have any advice on how I should put them on so they're not notecible ? My hair is down most of the day, but I do go to practice (basketball) every day for 1 hour thirty min to two hours and thirty min depending on the day, so I'd like to keep my hair up or Dutch braid it :) this video was really helpful thank !!!
Hello Levi! ☺️ Ah thank you so much, I truly appreciate it! ✨Yes I do have great advice on how to hide the extensions! A huge part of wearing extensions is discussing your lifestyle/daily activities in the consultation with your hairdresser. If you wear your hair up and braided often, your hairdresser will be sure to leave ample space around your hairline so they aren’t noticeable. ☺️When the extensions are being applied, your hairdresser should fasten them an inch up from your nape (so it’s hidden when you pull your hair up) and also an inch inward on the sides of your hair as well (also to help hide them if hair is braided/in pony). I hope this makes sense and helps! Hope you love your extensions 🎉
Hello Selena! ♥️ Yes absolutely it will be possible! Hair extensions come in all different colors and textures, so you can definitely find very close to what you’re looking for! The Donna Bella Hair website has a ton of different types if you’d like to take a look!
I have been licensed for 25+ and got bored of doing hair many moons ago. In the last few weeks the idea of doing extensions appeals to me. Your video was excellent and is really pushing me behind the chair. Thank you madame!

I think you would be an amazing candidate for these extensions, it can give you length and some extra thickness as well! They will not damage your natural hair at all which is why I swear by them.
Average rate hair grows is about 6 inches per year 😂
Some people just have hair that seems to grow a lot faster than that. Usually it's something internal, not external that is off. Vitamin D deficiency can cause hair loss or slowed growth, vit D, Biotin, Collagen, Saw Palmetto, these things will help your hair grow longer, thicker and healthier 😊
Hope this helps
I love how you are so interactive with people who watch your videos, so genuine!!!
After watching several videos for this type of extensions, yours is the best
Hi Amanda! Aww♥️ Thank you SO much! Just made my day. Xoxo 😄
I definitely agree! Super simple
Xoxo
When you brush or comb the hair do the teeth get caught on the bead holding the extension in place? Her hair looks beautiful!!!
So I've found as long as you're careful brushing them they're fine, but they don't end to get caught.
Hi there, these extensions look awesome! I love the way they looks so natural. What does it cost to do this?
Thank you for you video I'm having these done soon and you helped me see the process and ease my mind ❤
You are a very sweet person! Very nice job. Will you please do a video of when they grow out basically, how you move them back up?
Wow you did a great job and very informational. I am contemplating getting these just not sure if I could stand them.
😘 As far as proper maintenance, a few very simple things to mention are:
☺️ Let me know if you have any other questions!💗
extremely informative video. The BEST one out there!!! thank you
Hi Tamela!! 💖 Thank you so much for the kind comment, truly appreciate it! Thanks for checking out my page as well! Xoxo☺️☺️
hi
Best video I found about extensions that is so clear thorougly explanation. ♡♡♡♡♡ where are you located. Would love for you to do my hair
Hello your work is amazing.. Very informative. I was wondering where I could go to get training done for myself?
Danielle Lisa thank you!!!
Danielle Lisa Thanks so much. They do look beautiful!
My question is, how much does this service cost? I’m really interested in getting my hair done. Thank you ☺️
Danielle Lisa omg can u come
Do my hair !
Where are you Located
Nicole jaycox did u mean u charge $50-100 per hour?
Its usually $1500
-Danielle ❤️
cut ur hair..dont use extension..waste money
Could have been a metal allergy to the rings. You can get shrink wrap style connectors made of rubber stuff.
@@jillsmith8914 thx for the tip. Do the shrink wrap ones make it so I’ll still be able to use conditioner on my scalp? I need it to battle dry scalp.
@@SolutionsWithinyes you can still use conditioner with them
Nice video! Thank u! Question, if i need to put conditioner in my scalp be use otherwise I get dry flakey scalp, is that a problem. Like would putting it on my scalp definitely make the extensions fall out/ slide??
I have a pixie cut and want longer hair for my senior pictures that are coming up. Would I be able to get these extensions on my short hair?
Hello Marylynn! ♥️ Pixie cuts are gorgeous, but can be tricky when it comes to extensions! Sometimes it’s a bit difficult to hide the extension and bead of the hair is too short. I’d say extensions may be possible if the hair is at least 3/4 inches. If you’d like, send me some photos of your hair and I can take a look and let you know! My email is thegirlnextdoord@gmail.com 💗😘
I love your work ! How many strands did you use in this clients hair?
Hi Dominique! Thank you so much! ☺️ We used a tad less than 4 packs on this client, and each pack has 25 pieces so around I’d say around 85 pieces in total! ♥️
Great application! Very neat and tidy.. although i think you needed another couple packs of hair and to add more in front of her face as hair didn't blend very well with her own and double drawn hair would of given an even thickness from tip to bottom on extensions.. but other than that great colour blend and application!! 👏👏
Thank you so much Stevie! ♥️
The link to Donna Bella curly extensions is: donnabellahair.com/collections/22-i-link-curly
Best of luck love! Xoxo
My hair is almost to my shoulders would it be possible for me to get those extensions? And if I can, where could I find that has a decent price?
They sell them on Walmart.com for about $40 for 100 strands
Danielle Lisa, can you possibly post a video on how to remove this type of extensions? Also, you said something about needing to “move them up” when it’s time for redo. Can you elaborate a little more on that? Thank you sooo much!!
Hell Kimi! Thanks so much for your comment! 💖 Funny enough I actually just posted a video recently where I remove the extensions and redo them (all in the same video! The link is: m.th-cam.com/video/lEkOJwH3wdw/w-d-xo.html
Of course!
What size beads do you use in this video? Alao how many rows did you do in the back? It looked like there was quite a bit of hair between each row. X
Hello first off all I love your work, and where did you get your flat iron
Hi! Wondering where I can purchase this kit? That hair overall looks great
Hello Ashley! 😘 I purchase my hair from Donna Bella Hair. All the items I use are also from their site as well, they are a one stop shop! The hair is great quality and their prices are extremely reasonable! 💖
Danielle Lisa! Thanks so much, appreciate the instant response🙌🏽 on my way to site right now. Thx again!
How long does this hair last? And where did you order from??
Love your video! Do you know hair extensions from Parahair? I used them for many years and highly recommend this brand !
If your hair has sent out is it a good idea to put extensions to make it feel like you have more hair
@@thegirlnextdoord Thank you so much for your message. I appreciate the great explanation you have given me. Greetings from Houston, TX.
can you tie your hair up, like in a high pony or bun with hair extensions in?
Wow soo gorgeous it flows just like here natural hair, can't even tell there extentions. I love them
Thank you so much Nancy! I appreciate the kind comment! ♥️🤗 Extensions are my absolute favorite, you’d never know it wasn’t her real hair! Xoxo
If I have 30% greys in my regrowth, can I dye my roots with the extensions in?
I love the results, has me missing my long thick beautiful native hair.
Hi Danielle! You did such an awesome job in putting hair extensions! Looks so natural! Loved it! I’d like to have hair extensions and wondering if I could see you. Where are you located?
Can you do a video on how to remove and re-apply them?❤️
Hi hun! Absolutely, that will be one of the next videos I post, promise! 💖😘
@@thegirlnextdoord please 🙏🏼 i would like to see a video too 💜
Hello, how many strands did it take to do the whole head, I counted 65, but that doesn't seem quite right for a whole head. Was I off?
Where did you get the extension? I been looking for that specific hair extensions but i can not find it
Hello Perla! I purchase my extensions from Donna Bella hair. They have several different types/colors/length of extensions including the I-Link!
Have your ever tried any from a professional only store? Such as CosmoProf...
Sheen Hunter Actually I haven’t but I will definitely look into it! I’d love to see what brands they sell.
There is a video that shows you how to make the extension. Their called i tip extensions.
I just want to know, when sleeping how it feels. I mean will it be painful like pricking pins?
Wow! Beautiful! Great job! 😊👏👏👏👏
You are a good sweet speaker you make ot easy to understand thank you!
I love it. Do you accept new clients? How much would you charge for something like you show in the video?
Hello I have a few questions would you recommend this more than the tape ins?? How do the i tips look if you do up do hair styles? Thank you
Do you have to have straight hair to use these kinds of hair extensions
?? And if not, are there curly extensions I can get from this brand?!
How do you brush it? Aren't there any risk that she accidentely snatched the extension while brushing to the root ?
Start brushing gently from the ends upwards.
your hair looks beautiful and when it has it extenssion its looks more beautiful
Thank you so much for the kind words Faith! 😀❤️♥️
Wow! Beautiful. How much do these run put in
If I have nanobeads can I dye my hair black with them in? Would the dye dissolve the beads or would it be ok? Can’t seem to find an answer anywhere
Are these better than tape ins?! Need advice.. my hair is thin & breaking because of bleach. ☹️
Can I get these kind of extensions if I bleach my hair?( From dark brown to blonde...its been years I've been doing this process)
Thank👍💚
Hello Vera! Yes you can absolutely get them for bleached hair! ☺️ They make them in all hair colors, and they come in balayage, ombré, natural, so many to pick from that’ll match every hair color!
So i have medium to thick hair do i space out my beads or put them side by side and how much hair are you leaving in between each row or is there no loose hair between each row?
i love the glass of vine at the back lol
Hi Danielle, how far up the head do you need to go? Your video was so helpful :) thank you
Hello Sammie!
Really..o no
Hello Jennifer! ♥️
I love your video 👍 where did you get your Tools to apply the The cylinders? What brand are they?
Thank you so much in avance 😘💕

Just to let u know extension makes the hair thinner and eventually it will start to make it fall out.. U shouldn't put extension all the time. My daughter is half mexican half puerto rican. And she had long hair upto to her butt, she wanted to have thicker hair. She added 2 extra lines of extension. Now her hair is weak and thinner. She's buying shampoo to give her back the strong hair she had
You need to go to a doctor and ask how long can you keep the extension in before u go bald from weak hair...

Does this process(micro links) ruin natural hair? And how long can you leave it in before re tightening
Hello Sarah! The Micro links are the only method of extensions I do because there is zero damage to the natural hair. Typically the beads need to me moved up after 3 months. 💕
Hello, do you add extensions to the top of the head or stop at the sides?
I need to get this done, but I don’t know where to go. Where is your location ?im in New Jersey.
Hello! Great detailed video! I am a experienced hairstylist also. Question: can you do extensions on yourself? The beaded as used in this video.

I’m a new licensed Cosmo & I plan on offering this service. How much would you charge for these? Would you charge per hour?
Hello Leticia! 💖 Salons typically charge anywhere between $300-$2000 for this service (without hair included), it is whatever you feel comfortable with! I charge by the hour because a lot of factors can vary (thickness of hair, length of hair, desired look, etc) so each client will be different. A typical job runs between 3-4 hours, so just be sure that at the end of the day you are happy with the amount of payment you receive for half a days hard work! ☺️
Danielle Lisa Hey how much do you charge per hour? Thanks.
Is that silivon clip distub us while sleeping?
Can't we do other variety of hairstyles with this extension?
The link for the tools is:
donnabellahair.com/collections/hair-extensions-catalog-tools-and-accessories-4-1-html
I place the extension above the piece of hair, try and make the extension flush with the top of the bead so that it doesn’t poke the clients head! I didn’t show this in the video but I clip the top of the extension so it doesn’t stick past the top of the bead. Let me know if you have any more questions love! 💗 Xoxo
I am looking for a second career change I'm interested in doing hair extensions do you suggest going to college or learning by your tutorials
Would it work/look right to get extensions that have somewhat of an ombré (at the ends) if my natural hair doesn’t?
Hello love! Yes that is absolutely possible and I have done it may times before! The key is to make sure the top of the ombré matches your hair, so that it blends into each other. For example, if your real hair is dark brown, purchase extensions that start off dark brown at the top, and fade into whichever ombré color you wish! 😊♥️
How far up and forward did you go on her head, and what about for up DOS, do you see the tips, see they heavy
You may have said it but how many packs did this take
Hi! I’m a hairdresser and my friend wants this done, how do you care for extensions? What shampoo/ conditioner is best, can you brush the hair normal?
Wowww niceeee 😊 !
Hi. How much space should be left between each layer of extensions?
Hello Elizabeth! I usually leave no less that 1/4 inch. If you stack the rows any closer, they will sit on top of each other and cause thickness. 1/4 does the trick perfectly! 🤍
I want to try extensions but I have a long pixie cut. Is it still possible to get them ?
Can you please recommend where do you buy the hair?
Hello sis, very beautiful. How many pieces do you need for 1 head?
Hello love! Thank you so much 😘💗 For a typical full head of extensions I use between 60-80 strands!
@@thegirlnextdoord aaawwwww thank you for replying to my message ... god bless you ❤️
Can i put my hair in a pony and bun with these? I always use tape ins
Yes! 💗 It all comes down to proper placement of the extensions and making sure they aren’t placed too superficial to the hairline!
Amazing video!! I've been meaning to put these extensions on, I have only one questions though :)
Do you have any advice on how I should put them on so they're not notecible ?
@@thegirlnextdoord Thank you so much !! I'm actually thinking on putting them myself so I'll look into that :) thank you!!
That takes a lot of patience props to you
Thanks so much Jo! ☺️☺️ It does take a very long time but it’s so awesome to see how much of a difference it makes!
Hi! I have naturally curly hair and would like these done to my hair but with highlights.. is that possible?
Hello Selena! ♥️ Yes absolutely it will be possible! Hair extensions come in all different colors and textures, so you can definitely find very close to what you’re looking for! The Donna Bella Hair website has a ton of different types if you’d like to take a look!
Thank you for replying, I appreciate it (:
Hello Daniela so just wondering is 100 strands good for the entire head?
Hello! ♥️ Yes 100 pieces should definitely be enough! I usually use 75 pieces for a full head 🥰
When applying, are the wick paints cut afterwards? x q are outside the hoop
Hello Priscilla! 💖 Yes I do trim the wick that sticks out up top. I make it so it is flush with the bead.
@@thegirlnextdoord Tks ♥
I am curious about the tip of the hair where it is inserted in the bead (and appears to stick up out of)
Jenny Zen I thought it was meant to be placed behind the natural hair strand.
Can I pls ask do you know roughly how many pieces where there you used
Where did you buy it ?
