Hi! I used this version of the persian lyrics: www.musixmatch.com/fr/paroles/Niaz-Nawab/Darya-Rock and the ISO 233-3 (transliteration.eki.ee/pdf/Persian.pdf) for the tranlitteration. Note that doted or underscored letters sound like not-doted or not-underscored ones, except for ġ or ḵ. ǧ = standard English ‘j’ (as in “July”) č = standard Spanish ‘ch’ (as in “muchos”) or standard English tch (as in “match”) ḵ, ḵv = standard Spanish ‘j’ (as in “jamón”) or standard German “Ach-laut” ž = standard French ‘j’ (as in “jambe”) or English ‘si’ in “illusion” š = standard English ‘sh’ (as in “shape”) ġ, q = quite like standard French ‘r’ (as in “rire”) a = like ‘a’ in most languages (except several English words) â = hard to explain in English… quite like academical standard French ‘â’ e = like standard Spanish ‘e’ (in the grammatical marker “-e”, it sometimes sounds like ‘ye’) o = standard French or Spanish ‘o’ v = standard Spanish ‘u’ if vowel or standard English ‘v’ if consonant y = standard French or Spanish ‘i’ if vowel or like standard English or Spanish ‘y’ if consonant The word “va” means “and” and is sometimes pronounced ‘o’. It is not that Persian speakers don't know the words in this poem rather it is full of metaphors and u need to figure out those before understanding what the poet was trying to say.
I give a literal translation a shot. The original poem by Hafez (1325-1390) has 7 lines. This song skips line 5 and the order of the other lines is somewhat shuffled around. 1) I shall turn my eyes into a sea (cry a river) and throw patience into the desert. In doing this, I throw my heart into the sea (an expression for a daring undertaking). 2) I shall raise such sigh from my sinful lonely heart that will raise a fire in the sin of Adam and Eve. 3) The source of comfort is where the loved one is I try to throw myself perhaps over there 4) Open the belt of your robe, O the moon wearing the sun like a hat (the moon is an expression for someone with a beautiful face, I guess the sun hat may mean something along the lines of having a bright and stunning aura) So like your long hair, I throw my love-stricken head at your feet. 5) I am wounded by the arrow of the cosmos (been dealt bad fortune) Give me wine so, drunken, I lace up the quiver of the Gemini constellation (stop the arrows of bad luck from the universe) 6) I shall splash wine from a chalice over this palanquin I shall throw the song of a harp in this blue dome (referring to the sky and also the universe) 7) O Hafez, because feeling confident in the days you have left is naive and erroneous why should I leave the pleasures of today till tomorrow?

Can anyone write the transliteration of the lyrics with Latin letters please? I can't read Persian script.
Hi! I used this version of the persian lyrics: www.musixmatch.com/fr/paroles/Niaz-Nawab/Darya-Rock and the ISO 233-3 (transliteration.eki.ee/pdf/Persian.pdf) for the tranlitteration.
Note that doted or underscored letters sound like not-doted or not-underscored ones, except for ġ or ḵ.
ǧ = standard English ‘j’ (as in “July”)
č = standard Spanish ‘ch’ (as in “muchos”) or standard English tch (as in “match”)
ḵ, ḵv = standard Spanish ‘j’ (as in “jamón”) or standard German “Ach-laut”
ž = standard French ‘j’ (as in “jambe”) or English ‘si’ in “illusion”
š = standard English ‘sh’ (as in “shape”)
ġ, q = quite like standard French ‘r’ (as in “rire”)
a = like ‘a’ in most languages (except several English words)
â = hard to explain in English… quite like academical standard French ‘â’
e = like standard Spanish ‘e’ (in the grammatical marker “-e”, it sometimes sounds like ‘ye’)
o = standard French or Spanish ‘o’
v = standard Spanish ‘u’ if vowel or standard English ‘v’ if consonant
y = standard French or Spanish ‘i’ if vowel or like standard English or Spanish ‘y’ if consonant
The word “va” means “and” and is sometimes pronounced ‘o’.
I am not sure of all vowels (‘a’, ‘e’ and ‘o’ are not written in persian).

Nice lyrics
you know that is based on a poem by Hafez right?

English translation? Anyone? Please 🥺
❤❤❤😉
Does anybody know how I can get the translation of the song to English?
I don't think even most Persian speakers know what she says. It's from a 950 years old poem
Generally, enjoy today why wait for tomorrow
It is not that Persian speakers don't know the words in this poem rather it is full of metaphors and u need to figure out those before understanding what the poet was trying to say.
I also need English translation of this song 😭
