the "gep." in the PZ.Gren squad means Gepanzert (or armored in English). this is an indication of their transports. Mot. troops are transported in trucks while Gep. troops are transported in Halftracks
Thank you. I had the Same Reaktion. Das heißt gepanzert du Huso!

The funny thing about the Pz.IV J is that, historically, it was *faster* at engaging targets within a 20 degree angle of the front, as the hand traverse was improved and the Pz.IV H's electric motor wasn't accurate enough to use for actual aiming.
So for a lot of situations in game, the Pz.IV J should be able to turn the turret and aim faster than the Pz.IV H.
But, of course, the Pz.IV H is modelled as using the electric traverse all the time meaning it's such much faster.
Gameplay wise it's probably better this way, as it creates a meaningful difference between the two units. But it's nice to be aware of the historical situation.
Wouldn't it also be less accurate as it's harder to make fine adjustments with fast gear ratio?
@tedarcher9120 the gear ratio wasn't necessarily fast, just faster. You could still get fine enough adjustments on the handwheel of needed. The better traverse of the J means it was now a two-speed traverse, with an auxiliary crank for the loader. So you could rotate it slow and precise or fast[er] with the loader to help as you desperately crank for your life towards that Sherman that suddenly appeared to the left.
Certainly, the British report on the Pz.IV J I'm getting this from didn't mention any difficulty in precise aim, so one imagines that wasn't an issue.
Crunching some numbers ourselves; the low gear ratio in the J was 1.89° per crank of the gunner's handwheel. At 1km (so fairly long range for WW2) a tank would then be almost 2/3s of a crank, so there's plenty of room for small adjustments on the handcrank allowing precise aim of the gun, even at ever greater ranges.
The not moving while under flames thing is technically a bug, but I think its a good thing to have in the game. The CQC Triangle still works, but SMGs can overcome TNT with Kiting, and TNT Chuckers can overcome flamers with Attack ground commands.
This is very Starcraft-esque, where a clear counter system exists, but a unit can overcome its counter if the player is willing to invest micro into the interaction. Unfortunately, flamers right now are drawing the short straw and do not have a micro trick that I am aware of to overcome SMGs. SMGs would also probably benefit from a bit more leeway when kiting Engineers. Anything that increases room for skill expression, especially something as binary as CQC is, is a good addition imo.
It definitely rewards people who push their micro harder
One thing I did with my build is that I substituted all A and B phase Panthers with the leader variants since they get the same availability at 1 vet, even the G leader. I'd consider replacing the B phase Panther As with a card of Panther G leaders (same availability for a 5 point more expensive leader).
exactly
Even better: you can take a Panther G leader in A and B and the Panther A leader in C. For a total of 15 points more, every panther gets radio + leadership. Fair enough you don't need the radio if you only bring Nebels, but the enem doesn't need to know :P
Honestly I prefer it the opposite, take Panthers non-leader so they are then able to be upvetted by bringing leaders nearby them. Idk but even single-vet Panthers are not having enough reliability for me, not for that price. So I'll usually just take non-leader Panther and try my best to have them buffed with leaders as much as possible
Point is that you can upvet with leaders your non leader tanks.
There is one point left, it's better to change the A phase panther into a recon one.
Miss these division reviews
I prefer stugs to the pzIV on isolation, but in a deck with panthers I think the stug is worse. It trades close range support for better armour but the panther is better at anti tank duties. In closer range the pz IV is better, and that's where I would not want my panthers or my stugs.
"Air recon is not necessary" is a funny joke. You should learn how to use it (which mostly means act quickly on what you see and realize what your opponent is trying to do to counter it).
I would double vet the pumas. They are kinda useless after the opener since they will (almost) always trade badly and you don't need 5 for the opener. You could argue that you want 4 but I would still double vet them. For 50pts, they need to be very efficient to pay themselves off.
The SS sturmgrenadier are very good (although avail is kinda bad). 2 mg42 10 men gives the same fighting potential at 501+m as a pzgren. You lose a bit of fire power at 301-500m but you gain so much more below 300m and have shock. It is very strong. Think of all possible ranges. From 0m to 750m, there is only 200m where this is worse than a pzgren and the difference is small.
Still not sure myself when I have to chose between the pzgren mot and gep. One thing you forgot is that the gep has higher avail so you can take it at double vet for the same avail.
You could double vet the grille and single vet the IG33. Think about how many grille and IG33 you bring in your games. Do you need that many?
Not having pzschrek in A can be rough. Later, you will have enough tanks and AT deployed to kill tanks.
This div is one of the best for 1v1.
Nice to see german division in S tier.
I love this div. It has everything I need for most situations. Of course I still have a wish list of things^^
I know this is probably just me but I don't know why the nebelwerfers don't get the smoke rockets. That's literally where they got the name from lmao. The whole point of them was to quickly lay a smoke screen down at range. The HE was more of a secondary use. This might be just me but I think if they had smoke rockets it'd be extremely useful
It would be extremely strong in game actually, but I understand your complaint haha
@@atkpwrgaming I'd prefer it to the current method of just HE spamming with nebelwerfers. Atm they just feel like a substitute for skill. "oh they have a well balanced defence here that counters my stuff? Let me just delete it all real quick in 10 seconds. Then the only real counter is to do the same back with arty spam or something similar. I get the suppression but the fact it just deletes entire blocks of units makes the game unfun to play
I think its only a matter of time this attack ground with tnt exploit gets fixed. Its breaking the cycle of the core game mechanics. In theory, it makes pioneers the best unit in the game (long range, and cqc). In practice its impossible to micro every tnt squad tho.
They either should straight-up patch it so they cant stand in position to throw a tnt when attacking ground.
Or, if they cant fix it like that they should make flamethrowers and molotovs leave a trail of fire which does massive damage over time so that pios which attack ground take a lot of damage if they want to stay and throw that tnt. IIRC these flamethrower units work by dealing low dmg, high surpression, and forcing enemy squad to move, which makes enemy take more damage with primary weapons. But no damage over time, because infantry leaves the fire
I think that these videos would maybe be a little more exiting if you "built" the deck during the video. Although you already have planned out what you are going to put in the deck, i just think it would be more exiting and fun if i didnt see everything from the start.
I just want to add that i really appreciate your content and that you are one of the channels i watch the most! Keep it up!
I bring the panther G in B with 1 vet. Same availability as the panther A. Then I bring the panther As in C. You're spending 5 points more for an option you never know if it'll be handy or not lol.
True, probably should change that up
Just a little small nitpick, but is there a reason not to take a inf leader with halftrack that has short 7.5 cm gun? I know is fairly expensive but still its armored halftrack with good Ap/He
Only if you're already taking other expensive support units, but if not then I take it every time, it's an extremely efficient unit, especially since you get automatic veterancy in it
Out of 15 matches I've played with this division, I won one or two matches...
Does that mean it's a bad division?
No, it means I suck at the game.
In all honesty, I got rolled by Panzer Lehr and armoured car rush plus a Panther camping a hill; same happened with 2nd Infantry Division and HT rush. I'm trying to love it ;)
Yeah this division can struggle against armor cars
Honestly I think the Gepanzerte ones can be pretty worth it as one card in B-phase. Considering how you have a lot of Volksdeutsche, the Panzer-Pioniers are basically Panzergrenadiers too, it's not like you'll be lacking on meat shields so much to actually suffer. And later on you get the card of 27 Pzg-Mot. so later you get support of meatier squads too
Also these SS-Sturmgrenadiers are coming from other division (Tatra I think? Or Strachwitz?) where they come from shitter SS division, so that's why the vet curve is so horrible, and they just copypasted the unit and left them with old non-veteran availability... in my opinion they should rework them for LSSAH and at least give them free one vet or 10-7 curve (Sturmgrenadier squads in LSSAH were from so called Escort Company, which was made up from best and most veteran soldiers)
Yeah a vet curve buff would be helpful. I just find the smaller pzgren to be a lot weaker
All hail the OPAF 210mm rocket!!!!!
It is really strong haha
What is a good allied division counter to this one?
American divisions can do fine, also the Cromwell spam divisions can overwhelm the AT
Title: “A New S Tier!”
Intro: “I wouldn’t give this an S tier” 🤔
The perfect clickbait hahaha
Panther G for 10v10 for sure! You need something to kill IS2's. Totally unnecessary for 1v1 I assume.
It comes up a lot less often haha
Hi is there any reason that put Panther A instead of Panther G ?
Cheaper and more availability in C phase for that card
@@atkpwrgaming Thanks Im a big fan of u cheeers
panther g has the same availability as a in a and b
good point thanks!
If only those 8 man pz grens were 25 pts... :(
Yeah that would make them really strong
gep also get better availability
good to know!
do sturmpio LSSAH lose to avtomoootchiki?
I dont think so, not sure though. veterancy matters
