    I don't understand the additional shipping price and how to figure it out. Eg: I sell a jar that is £5.00 shipping. A frame that is £ shipping and a bracelet. The shipping comes to £5 when it actually will cost about £10 for those items as it's gone up a lot in weight. so the additional item price for that would be £5. But how can you guess what the additional price will be? They may not need to pay any additional shipping if it was just the jar and the bracelet. But may need to pay £15 more for a heavy ornament. I'm confuseddd!

    Hi Sam, thank you for your video, it was really useful.. I have just put together a shop on Etsy, selling my digital art and I'm really struggling to work out international costs. My frames don't weigh any more than 2kg in weight... Do you know if there's a shipping calculator that works out the international costs? I tried looking on the Royal Mail site, but I couldn't find anything. I appreciate any feedback..Thank you!

    I want to sell in the US but live in the UK. I notice that when I try to sign up for Etsy.com I get redirected to Etsy.uk
    Does it make sense to sign up on the marketplace you want to sell on, ie, USA and if so How do you do this please?

    Hi, thank you for this video! I would like to know if you can price one product different prices for different countries,
    So do free shipping worldwide, but depending on the country that is buying Etsy shows another price?
    So for example, free shipping for the US, and for the same item charge shipping, with a different selling price in Europe.

    • @creativesmallbusinessclub
      @creativesmallbusinessclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you'd have to have the same product price for everyone & then have a different shipping price depending on where the person it ordering from.

  • @dreamingofmidsummer
    @dreamingofmidsummer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you recommend the Etsy postage labels and do you know if they work when I live in the EU?

    • @creativesmallbusinessclub
      @creativesmallbusinessclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Etsy labels are good if you only have an Etsy shop. I personally use Royal Mail Click & Drop which lets me integrate all my shops into one place & buy labels for the UK & internationally. In terms of seeing if you can buy labels in your country you'll need to check this within Etsy yourself.

    Hi great vid! I was wondering how to work out if my international customers would have to pay customs or tax of some kind if they order from my uk shop when they get the item their end. ? Thank you 😊

    • @creativesmallbusinessclub
      @creativesmallbusinessclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I'm away the USA doesn't have import taxes like we do in the UK (e.g. Royal mail has a £9ish admin fee then charges the 20% VAT on the incoming package). This is partly because the USA doesn't have one flat tax like us. Instead each state has a variety of taxes. It's therefore not something you'll be able to estimate as it would be different for each customer based on where they are, you are, what the item is etc.
      What I'd suggest is to make sure you have something in your shop policies that states customers are responsible for customs taxes & import charges if applicable.
      Hope that helps.

    Hi, I have a question and really hope you can help me. I am based in the UK and have print on demand mugs that I have been advised to sell to the USA because that where I will get more custom and the supplier is based in the USA so it costs me less in shipping. One thing I am unsure about is the transfer fees from the change of currencies. I have been told to use something called transferwise to greatly reduce the foreign exchange fees but I dont know how I would implement this in my etsy shop. Is this something you have ever encountered? Thanks

      Hi Darta. This isn't possible within Etsy. You can set a $35 free shipping threshold for US customers but nothing more advanced than that.

  • @clairesweet544

    Thank you. I love your vlogs. This was just what I was looking for. However I will be using A4(large letter) and A5(letter) size envelopes. I have created two different international shipping profiles for the two sizes. On a listing the customer can choose A4 or A5 prints but I can only select one shipping profile for one listing. How do I get round this please ?

    • @creativesmallbusinessclub
      @creativesmallbusinessclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad it was helpful Claire! You can get round it on one listing by offering free shipping & adding the shipping costs into the price of the product - something I highly recommend doing anyways as it helps you get more orders. Here's a video explaining why: th-cam.com/video/FGfRz5T4zrU/w-d-xo.html
      If you don't want to do that, then you'll need to have two listings for the two variations.

    • @creativesmallbusinessclub

      Claire Sweet You’ll have to charge the highest shipping price for both items or increase the A5 to cover the higher price for international shipping or spilt the items up.

    Selling from UK. Just sold two items to one buyer in USA. I listed them both as
    'free delivery UK...£15 international /everywhere else'
    but it seems the sale total has not included post delivery cost. Do these funds come through separately once ths order is marked as dispatched? I want to honour the sale but I also want to issue a full refund...any advice welcome thanks

    • @creativesmallbusinessclub
      @creativesmallbusinessclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The funds will all show on the order & in your payment account. Double check you don’t have the free shipping over $35 for USA customers turned on in your settings. This is most likely why the postage charges weren’t applied.
