Cold brew is so good! It doesn't have any bitterness at all, just the smooth coffee flavor. :) You'll taste the cocoa like flavors in the beans. I like to have a glass on the rocks with a splash of soy milk, reminds me of chocolate milk! Of course you can use any milk of your choice if desired. This brewer makes a perfect amount for 1 or 2 people. Thanks for watching! :)
@@helpfulnatural had my first cold brew yesterday and it was soooooo good, sweeter than I expected, and today I experimented with an iced mocha, again delicious. Saved so much money and made how I like it
@@marias8007 Cold brew is sooo good! :) It's true that it's sweeter than hot/traditional brew methods. By brewing with cold water, none of the bitterness is extracted like with boiling water. I love it on the rocks with a splash of soy milk. On a hot summer day, I could drink it all day long! :D
Looks great! I think it's just the nature of coffee that you will have some sediment. My cold brew system has a little at the bottom as well. Since I pour it out into a pitcher, most of it is left in the brewer. I agree that the taste of cold brew is not bitter and slightly sweeter. I can drink my cold brew with no sugar or cream. I occasionally add sweetener or flavoring as a treat now instead of with each serving.
I know, right? Cold brew is awesome!! The danger I have with it is that I could easily drink the whole pitcher-full in one day! :D The only reason I don't take coffee with me when I leave the house is because I end up running around looking for a restroom every 20 minutes after drinking it! :-O
My late husband drank coffee all day and I couldn't understand it at the time. Cold brew is so much smoother that I'm completely on board with filling my mug a couple times or as much as three times a day. That's why I had to have a separate kit for my tea - the filter was always in use for cold brew concentrate. My bladder has learned to be strong because this town doesn't supply many restrooms for the public. Even in places where you are spending your money. I'm not big on public restrooms, but sometimes you really gotta go. I have a fresh brew I have to get into my big pitcher to go along with the lemon pound cake that will be coming out of the oven in a few minutes. No sweetener in the coffee today. Late afternoon snack and I'll have a light supper later.
Lol! I'm not a fan of public restrooms either. Ugh! But, like you said, "when you gotta go, you gotta go!" Today was very cold, so I too did some baking. I made my husband's favorite cookie, "Oatmeal Chocolate Chip" and I added some chopped pecans as well.
I just got this bottle thinking it was for both hot and cold beverages (it didn’t have any instructions, just the price) I know now it’s for cold brew but...can I still use it for hot tea? That’s what I originally wanted it for but now I’m not sure if I should because idk what’ll happen if I put hot water in it
The instructions that came with mine state that it is only for cool or cold beverages and is NOT microwaveable. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! :)
Yes, I grind the beans on the French press setting of my coffee grinder. The beans I use come from a local roaster in my area as they are freshly roasted just days before I buy them. Any coffee you like can be used for cold brew as long as it's ground very coarse. Too fine a grind will result in a muddy brew. From my experience and taste preference, I like medium to dark roasts for this method. Light roasts won't have the deep, chocolatey flavor notes that's famous in cold brew coffee. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! :)
That was my experience too! I started making it a few years ago and I had to be careful I didn't chug the whole pitcher down in one afternoon! :D This brewer does work very well and is great for travel due to its smaller size. For everyday cold brew I use either my 8-cup or 12-cup French press, depending on how much I want to make or if I'm on a coffee binge. Lol! I found this brewer at World Market/Cost Plus but I've also found it at Bed, Bath & Beyond as well as online. I paid $14.99 for it.
i got one of these free using reward points and I cannot wait for it to get here, though i've never actually had cold brew before but i love coffee

Well I guess I can’t, thank you so much!!!! Great videos!
Do you use coarse ground coffee and what kind do you use?

Just a “splash” of soy milk.
