Gemini on my Pixel is a big step backwards from the previous Google Assistant. I really only used it for Maps and timers and it doesn't even do that right.

Gemini last a good 3 hours on my device before I uninstalled it, it was kind of insulting that they exspected everyone to just go with it.

No the Android team is the body. The pick team is an extension.
Maybe they can speed up the support and release of their products to more regions, they are waaaaaay behind. Apple products are available globally.
Excited development. I use both iPhone and Pixel. In recent weeks, I've been using the Pixel more than the iPhone. That's because the iPhone appears boring and completely uninteresting. Pixel is more forward-leaning. So we'll see when iOS 18 arrives.
Competition is good and drives development forward.
I'm actually looking forward to the future of Android as an Android user and since I have a pixel 7, it seems like Google really cares about the pixel line of phones I actually think it works really well and right now Google only has Samsung as a partner with the whole 7 years OS update plan. But if they can get the rest of the Android Alliance together to do that, they'd be able to take on Apple more directly
I think one of the biggest issues at Google is the fragmentation. It's why we see random bugs or apps updating before the compatible software update. I think this is very good for the future of Google in general.

Nice of CEO Sundar Pichai to catch up on what he should have done long ago. He focused on overhiring employees rather than being efficient. Any success of Google has been hindered by him, which is why they lag behind. The Nest camera system really needs improvement.

For better integrating the ecosystem with ai so that hardware can compliment software and software can take better use of the hardware
Apologies if this has been mentioned, but this makes these departments a lot more difficult to break up by monopoly regulators in the US and EU.
