I've ALWAYS been a HUGE fan of buying boxes and ripping them while sorting out my rookies, stars and favorite teams and putting them in holders or pages. That Enjoyment has FriKkIN DIED for me. So the only sport I enjoy is hockey now. I just collect the UD YOUNG GUNS every year instead Boring? yeA . BUT I'm not wasting 150-200$ a box for 12 packs of crap. Oh well. LOVE the content Bro! Keep it up!

Every business is literally supply vs demand. They weren't giving cards away in 2014 or whenever. They were cheaper, but they still carried value.
Now there hundreds of thousands of more eyes on them. And they went up! Youre betting on the market to stay dumb and get worn out. Im betting on the market to get educated. When they do, then they will seek out scarcity.

You must not have been a collector when the late 90s boom ended. All the noobs that flock in during a boom dont "get smarter", they leave. The covid boom been rolling for years but is coming to an end.

@johnwayne9828 i collected from 89 to 2003. The difference now is access to information. I'm in probably 50 Facebook groups and I am still seeing new entrants constantly, and a lot of curiosity around learning new sets.

@@johnwayne9828By that logic no market would ever get more mature. Its almost self-evident that the sports card market operates more efficiently than it did a decade ago, and one aspect of that is due to collectors learning from their mistakes.

I have to disagree with this video, Sports Card have been around for 130 years along with the industry it has survived several financial crashes and 2 world wars, and the list goes on. The other products you mentioned have been around for far less time. NFTS BITCOIN? new industry and products.

Sure theyve been around forever, but the prices people are paying now is unsustainable. Cards have never been this high, and once the bottom falls out like it has after the 2 booms I've seen in 30+ years as a collector, theyll likely never be this high again. Theyll still be there like before, just back to pennies on the dollar compared to right now.

@@johnwayne9828 The Card Market is somewhat tied to the US Economy and Stock Market which are at ATH, when that Crash happens let me know where I can pick up 52 Mantles for pennies on the dollar, I'll even rent out a bus to load the bus up :)
The Point is no one can predict the economy not even the greatest stock trader Warren Buffet or Economists at the Fed can forecast more than 3 months.
