So this guy is pilot. Maybe think how your soul would feel if you tried taking command of an aircraft for the first time with no experience 🤔

I hate to say it but I understand the theory of flying full size aircraft helis and planes .
I also fly rc helis . So whats your point?
Maybe if he was thorough in piloting a full size aircraft maybe study the theory of welding and what the best welding process
      needed for the application.
      STILL HURTS MY SOUL! @@KateWight-t9v

Addictive viewing for sure!!😅 Kudos for giving it a go. Every winner was once a beginner.

Chuffed to have been treated to 12mins of content today! Welding looks scary but props for giving it a go. It’s not stupid if it works 👏

Hi mate, I was in your shoes. You must remember that a gasless mig isn't great, it can help in some instances but I'd use a gas mig for anything proper. Also, the cleaner the material (area you're welding, and earthing point), the cleaner the weld.

Gasless welders are not ideal, you have a plastic butter knife at a knife fight. Gasless will spit a lot, it may be worth getting some splatter resisting spray which might help you.
It doesn't look like you have many settings to play with on your welder, I'm not sure if i agree with comments saying wire speed is too high - your voltage looks a bit too low so the welds are appearing to sit on-top of the material. Your welder should have advice on how it should be set as a good starting point.
Your repair panel would have been pretty much perfect for a tig-weld application, because a tig will fuse the two pieces of metal and you can easily control the volume of filler you add.
With a mig you may find that actually to have a bit more of a visible gap between the repair panel and the car may help you, as you can almost lay the material into this void- it will take less amps/ voltage to get the weld to penetrate properly.
Its hard, even harder on a car rather than practice pieces on a workbench.

I can't decide if this is a wind-up video or not but assuming it's not please do get some decent PPE and bin those welding goggles. Don't forget that the UV emitted by the arc can also burn exposed skin.
The tip of your torch needs to be closer to the weld site. You may find that your gasless welder is not too good with car body panels.
Do be careful if you are welding galvanised or Zinc coated metals as the fumes can be toxic.
It takes a great deal of practice to be able to dial in the Voltage and wire speed settings for a given gauge of steel and just when you think you've got it you'll find other factors that will make it seem impossible.
I'm not sure if videoing a decent E46 M3 being subjected to such torture will gain you more subscribers but good luck all the same.👍

Thanks for the helpful info. I did catch a bit of a sunburn. The poor car may have some ugly tattoos hidden under the carpet now but I’m sure it’s better than the rust that was eating away at it. Thanks for the watch and the comment. It all helps.

I mean ,,,,,you’ve done actually ok for ur first go ,,,as previously said gasless is rubbish so for you to get as good as did deserves a pat on the back tbh

Wire speed is to high. Try to keep the spot welds more compact this way you can bring the heat down,. Btw a grinder can fix any welding👍

@BadChad has some good panel welding videos you could watch. Also welder setting are off. Best if you buy some same thickness metal to practice first and spend some time on it.
