    I love this. I'm 26 years old about to start my path to one day become a great orthopedic surgeon . I love helping people and seeing them smile and I hope especially one day be able to help those who have lost their careers and jobs to injuries make them happy again.     This was a great idea Dr. Webb. Everyone doesn't speak with the enthusiasm that you do. So we are able to relate to you in all aspects. This kept me intrigued. I wanted to know what the next task in Dr. Jude's day was. Hopefully more of your guests will be open to more personable videos like this.

    I appreciate your passion, but in my imagination, this is what Hell looks like! Love the vids. Can you quantify the amount of sleep you get? Weekly? Daily on average?
    I'm not a doctor, but the consequences of sleep deprivation are serious and I'm concerned about your health.

    Wait, so it’s 6 years med+uni, 2 years intern, then 8 MORE for residency?! 16.
    Where in US it’s 4+4+5. 13.
    Didn’t realize it’s 3 MORE years in the UK for ortho, despite people getting their MD two years earlier. Thanks for sharing!

      Joshua McGough Pretty much but in the uk there's less money involved I becoming a doctors. Most unis in the United Kingdom, it takes 5 years to graduate so 45000 pounds in tuition fees plus living expenses. Then you're a doctor and get paid and will slowly clear up that debt. In the us there's more money involved

      Wow, I didn’t realize it took longer to become a doctor in the EU, can someone break down the salary compared to US counterparts? I was a combat medic in the military currently 2 years out from graduating undergrad... I’ve longed to live overseas again and practice medicine over there after training here in US.

      I'm a US medical student but I'd be shocked if physicians in the UK were not also referred to by "doctor". I can't imagine referring to a physician as Mr., would be very disrespectful.

      Much much less. A senior registrar like this would be earning around £70,000. A consultants starting salary is £70,000 with additional pay for on calls.

      If its in the NHS, it would be about $130,000 (98,000 British pound sterling) is the max salary you can earn as a consultant. This is largely why the UK has a severe shortage of doctors, they work horrible hours and make very little money.

    I just ordered a vibration plate to workout. Is it safe to use this machine even though I have screws and plates in my right ankle? I had a Tri-fracture in 2012 and chose not to remove the hardware. But will these become a problem if I start using a vibration plate for 15 mins a day at perhaps a high level or the running speed?
