Why do you look to the outer attire to see the veracity of truth in what Ty Gibson is presenting? God says man looks at the outward appearance but He looks at the heart.
Rigid formalism is of the Pharisaical class; it should not be so of God's people. This is what three and half hour worship services do to people such as yourself. It becomes a dog-and-pony show, a spectator sport, and causes you to esteem ritual and form rather than Christ in the heart-“Christ in YOU the hope of glory.”
I do not want to be angry with you but I am righteously indignant. Why do you look to the outer form; to the attire?! Did not Christ warn you that the broadening of the phylacteries by the Pharisees was nothing more than a pompous show of self-worship; that it is in itself-earthly, sensual, and of Satan.
Put away your rigid formalism; your rule-keeping that esteems your self-righteous spirit. May the eyesalve of the Spirit anoint your eyes that you may actually see your condition. It saddens me when I see fellow Adventists focus on appearance rather than on esteeming Christ in their hearts who was focused not on task performance but the purity of a self-effacing, righteous character.
