Muhammad Asyraf i think depend on the speed and road conditions, of course handling ok lah, this is common sense when car is design😁..even Proton Saga also okay. Nothing is not ok la😅...but he put others in dangerous the way he drives.

Actually I was also apprehensive: I remember seeing two of these cars off the road on this road itself: however, the product stood up for itself, as you can see from the video. No parts were modified, no bars added; it was just me and the Bezza. Even Perodua did not know I was testing the car.
i was surprise renting a bezza during my trip to kundasang. the car surprisingly handle well and stable. on par with the price. old myvi is more nervous.

I remember doing a business trip to Kuala Lumpur two years ago. Because no one picked me up, I had to order a Grab and it was my first time riding a Perodua Bezza. The built quality and features are better when compared to its distant relative in Indonesia - Daihatsu Ayla, making the journey from KLCC to Petaling Jaya in the morning so comfortable.

Uncle Khong is a pro driver. He's is an expert in pushing any car to its limits. No car he can't handle even if its a sampan. I can't recall if he gave any bad reviews to any cars.
I don't recall testing any bad cars. I actually aborted a test drive on one car because it handled very badly- it was a private car that was overdone; I didn't drive it so you never saw the video.

I actually rented one from Socar the other day to drive up to Bentong. It was pretty good tbh. It's pretty comfortable, solid, handles well.
Just the only thing I dislike it the seats. It's a little too small for me and my passengers.
Also, the aircond blower is abit too loud even at speed no.2.
But overall, it's a good cheap car to own. No wonder everyone uses it for Grab services.

When shift to gear D, the eco mode is on, it pulls down the performance for better fuel consumption, unless step full throttle then it turns off eco mode.
But if shift to gear 3 or 2, eco mode is automatically off, the car is response faster and more power.

Another great informative video on "low end affordable car" by Sifu Khong. As tested, the Bezza passed the test. There are many people who judge a car's roadhandling by its looks saying this car has narrow tyres, slim & tall, it is unstable. But fact is today's technology in suspension, wind tunnel test, chasis, etc. can really fool the eyes. Dont judge a car by its looks, drive it instead before making assumptions.
I've driven bezza top of the range from Kl to Kuala Terengganu, and I myself using persona. Definitely big difference in term of handling and acceleration. Of course any car can handle well given the skills to drive but the limit to each car is different as well. All in all, drive safe for ourself and other road user safety as well. Cheers
@@myidham1984 Sure agree as u said driving skills comes 1st. Of coz a Bezza's limits are below a Persona. But this does not mean the Bezza is "bad handling" as some people say. Bad handling cars are those that are " not forgiving" , e.g. like easily oversteerin into a spin(loose handling) or understeers badly, like a ship.As for the Bezza which i tested, understeer only sets in when pushed very hard into tight corner but easily recovers by easing the throttle. Therefore i would say the Bezza is "forgiving". Unlike some who say this car handles badly(which i meant in my 1st comment) Although the Bezza is a light car, tends to skitter or unsettles when the surface is undulating, it does not lose control suddenly, therefore "driver friendly" or as YS Khong put it as "neat handling".
I also found the Bezza's steering and suspension givs good feedback for the driver, all this enough to pass as an adequate handling car that does not gives a driver heart attack.

Uncle Khong, I drive the advance model and my partner owns the premium X. I personally felt that the premium X performs better than the advance. Maybe due to the weight difference with lesser equipments. But with ESC on the advance, I have more confidence to speed up through the highway... Haha
The ESC helps when you over cook the corner, do if you can afford it, go for it. Learning some driving skills would be better in the long run. Better to be fully in control at all times.

It's an auto, so not much to see. You can sense when I brake, cos the car slows down, a bit and when it surges forward I am accelerating, hahaha.

I have driven Bezza up to Genting seated five in a family recently. I had wanted to see how you drove up to First World Hotel too. Unfortunately I wonder why everyone tested the car only mid hill. Actually the real stress come after mid hill. Can you do it again??
We don't test all the way to the top because the video time and also the time taken is too long. Also, the second part has some sections where there is oncoming traffic, and on the way down there are too many bumps. At the casino area traffic can sometimes be heavy. It's too much of a hassle so we just use the bottom.
Also note that our test drives are just casual and subjective tests and opinions expressed are strictly personal; it is never an exhaustive test nor is it a complete test.
However, should any individual or organisation wish for us to do more detailed and quantitative testing on any model we are perfectly able to do it, but there shall be a fee involved, and the results shall be for the client only and there shall be no public videos.

I felt the same to many car review jetting up to Genting, but only ended half way. I personally think the stress test is from mid hill to the top.

I think both cars are quite respectable in the handling department. The Saga may have a slight edge as it appears to be more balanced.

I guess how well a car handles also got to do with its relative power and torque, and weight, apart from the suspension setup. In the case of Bezza, its power and torque could hardly overwhelm its handling.

YS Khong 7:06 Driving Wouldn't changing from 3rd gear to 2nd gear at 70~100kmph spoil the gear faster? I thought cars need to slow down first before switching gear manually on auto cars?

When drive a bezza on highway at high speed then only can feel the handling is not that good, as compared to saga which handle much better. Btw, nice review uncle 👍🏼

Car has been tested by Engineers using current world technology and market competition. Just like Honda Vtec engine, the Vtec features only set in after 6,000rpm. I think only 1% had actually used the Vtec performance in the whole life of his Honda badge. In short, you will never see much difference driving to work.

If you want space - it is Bezza; if you want performance, it is the Myvi. If you want affordable best package take the Saga. No car is perfect, and no car is the best; it all depends on what needs you want to satisfy the most.

Y.S., how do you think about Bezza's electric power steering feedback? I test drove the car many months ago. As someone who are used to hydraulic power steering, I found Bezza's steering to be having way too much "berat" feedback at highway speeds.
It was okay to me. Even hydraulic steerings have feedback and turns heavy with high repeated movements

The car is stock standard, and is on the original tyres. Tyre pressures are standard pressures, and we are running 95 Octane fuel. We test many cars, and we are neutral about them: we don't have time or money to specially modify any cars. And by the way, this car is privately owned and is not on loan from Perodua.
If you watch the video in full and listen toy commentary, you will see that I used only up to 3rd gear, and there is a reason for that.
@@YSKhongDriving yes i have watch all the way up is just using 2nd and 3rd that's y i wanted know the pressures because of bezza door have recommended tyre pressure 250 =P i not really sure about they say that cornering or handling not stable is about 250 pressure... but i'm mostly use around 230 pressure corner in 100km/h still feels good and stable,and also the rpm if can i'll show you the video but i have to email it to u =P

Axia is 1.0 litre, Bezza is 1.3 litre; the Bezza has more power, so the answer is quite obvious right?

Hello wanna ask Uncle,when you shift down/up between D/3/2 do you press the shift button or just pull and push it? Thanks for answer
If I am not mistaken, you don't have to press the button. The button is to lock R from the rest of the gears for safety. Some boxes require you to press the lock button if you shift down from 3 to 2 or 1. We have returned the car so we cannot check. Anybody care to enlighten us?

The standard suspension is pretty good. The car is not very fast, so you don't really need any upgrade.

That is because you are not fast enough to use 4th. And to prevent unnecessary gear hunting.

The cars in this category are very closely matched and are very price- sensitive. Seeing as you are quite well off, you just buy theost expensive one you are willing to part your money for. Bear inind these are entry level cars, so if you are a doctor, you might want to treat yourself to something a bit better. But if you are looking for a runabout, take the one that you feel most comfortable with.
Stock tyre is a bit small, a bit ‘kurus’, can change to 15”/16”
