I hv been using Proton cars since 1996.. From Saga, Wira, Satria, Waja and now Exora. One month ago, I bought Iriz for my daughter. Also even now, I own Camry and MyVi 2019, I am always proud and believe in Proton Cars .

Pengalaman terbaru saya dengan pusat servis di tempat baru sangat mengagumkan saya apabila kereta siap tak sampai sejam, i.e Kat Rahman Brothers Seksyen 22 Shah Alam..
Win or not, that's not important.. But, I'm proud because of this 2 brand is Malaysian national car..

@@deemaya2866 drb hicom still hold 50.1%, that means proton still hold by malaysian. Meanwhile perodua umw, mbm and pnb hold almost 68%, that mean perodua still hold by Malaysian. Why you says not fully Malaysian?

FYI, Perodua although homegrown i would say not fully local because as even their engines are either sourced from Toyota or Daihatsu. The latest Myvi's engine for example is sourced from Toyota. On the other hand, although Proton started off with rebadging of Mitsubishi based vehicles, they have drastically reduced their dependence on Mitsubishi over the years and decades. We should be more proud of Proton than Perodua especially since they make their own engines! Although CamPro is lagging behind it's counterparts in terms of reliability or / performance figures i would say they are still fairly reliable. There are still so many first batch Gen2s (2004) with first batch CamPro engines (S4PH / S4PE) moving around. All in all we should always be proud of our homegrown automotive brands as not many countries in our region are able to make their own cars. Thanks to Dr. Mahathir for his bold vision, we now have Protons exported to even the europe region!
Perodua can never beat proton for the speed. For perodua it's only saving minyak oo.

@@samueltan2148 Well bro, you've just underestimated the power of Proton's CFE turbo engine. It has the torque similar to a 2.0L NA (or better).
And the CVT tuning for turbo is slightly different than their N/A engine. I'm driving Exora turbo. While my dad has a HRV 1.8 . that's why I can tell you my driving experience between both cars. However both cars have its pros and cons which I won't write here.. too long to type lol.

Been in a Bezza before, and frankly, I felt really worried for my safety and well-being seated at the back seat. The car felt floaty and didn't have any decent torque to overtake a lorry on the highway. 😅🙏The Saga wins hands down, more so now with the faster shifting 4 speeder from Hyundai.
Not to mention, their backseat comfort is really really…nonexistent. Super upright, it's just designed for cargo or perhaps to torture the rear passengers.

The Hyundai 4AT is so much nicer than the AT in the Bezza. Having driven it it shifts through it's gear so much smoother and seamlessly compared to the ill-mannered one in the Bezza. In this case with the Bezza weighing 100+KGs lighter. It's the drivetrain efficiency and the gearing that will matter more. Also with the Saga being 10k less to buy, it's the better car for it's price, hands-down.

In terms of real world performance, the torque vs. rpm curve is much more important than the peak torque number.

Nevermind la let the Perodua fan boys whine back to their mommy. They can't accept the fact that their Dual VVTi engine is meant to improve Fuel efficiency not to give "VTTi kick In yo " performance (I made that phrase up , please).
This video just shown that Single VVT still wins the Dual VVTI in a 1/4mile drag race.

In the past only the 1.6 Saga BLM that attracts me. But now this saga with 4 speed AT is the best Saga over the years. In such price, such feature, and now the performance even with extra 140kg, really worth. That extra weight I believe makes that the saga more refined than Bezza, so for outstation drive, Saga will be more confortable.

Simple reasons. 1, Campro VVT just shines in high rpm duty. Perodua engine is just great at low rpm duty. 2, overdrive gear (gear 4) in Peroduas are super lousy at pickup but very efficient. Hence why it lost eventhough it has on paper advantages.

Niceeee..I wonder if the CVT of the previous gen Saga will also beat the Bezza.
With the rubberbanding effect typical of CVT's, I think the Bezza would be able to be ahead the Saga early on in the race. But seemingly once the Bezza shifts into higher gear, and the Saga gains enough speed, the Saga might overtake the Bezza later in the race.
I expect the results to be similar in the Iriz vs Myvi race.

I hv been a proton user for...around 20 yrs now. Starting from wira, saga aeroback, iswara aeroback, waja, exora. My latest car is proton persona MC2 2022. Tho it wasn't a luxury car, proton still wins my heart. Keep upgrading proton. U hv done a wonderful job so far. Eyeing for X50 next.

I think you guys should do all saga models drag race(from the first model if possible to the latest) for saga's anniversary or Merdeka.
The bezza was created for low speed city driving, stop and go in mind. So they do not really cover the mechanical tuning and chassis. Of course the saga has the edge over this. If saga was built on a newer platform and offering the same technology as bezza did then it's a killer.

If you remove both car manufacturer badge and perform a consumer vote… SAGA would be a better choice as it felt more like a car. Perhaps this explains why I'm still driving Gen 1 Myvi
I agree with you. I think that older gen peroduas have better driving dynamics especially kelisa, compared to the latest gen.
@@MuhdIqbal Driving dynamics on the current gen Myvi is pretty decent for what it is though.
The ride is not on par with the Protons, but it's way better compared to the older Myvis, and better than the Bezza too really.
I never driven the Kelisa before, I would really like to get my hands on one.

@@germaineliew2012 kelisa have that design language similar to the old mini, a box with the tires almost at the corner, which is as far as I know have great handling and a low centre of gravity.

After seeing this video we can conclude P2’s car are utterly bs. It such a shame it’s ever existed on the road. It’s not even that fuel efficient as well considering the car is really light, even lighter than saga more than 100KGs. What if bezza has the same mass? I don’t think it’ll be that efficient anymore.

The CamPro VVT of the Saga favours high end torque, compared to the Bezza's engine. So despite the additional weight of the Saga, I think it would be able to beat the Bezza, or it would be a very close battle. We'll see.
Also, before anyone starts a flamewar, I'll just want to address that the Bezza isn't a bad car. No it's not a "deathtrap" like some would call it. It's a decent car for day to day use. (Although the Bezza's price...yeah that hurts...)
it's no longer CVT. it's using Hyundai torque converter

Yeah it is true. I used Persona SV before. When accelerating, nothing happened until the engine hit 4000 rpm. Thats the time the Campro engine came alive. All the way to 6000 rpm.

Yup, for Perodua they prioritize efficiency and reliability. While Proton on the other hand, priority comfortability and driving experience. But for me who drives both, even I know how great Perodua's reliability is, but I still favour Proton more because the driving experience are mind-blowing. Even my aunt's Honda City doesn't have the driving experience I enjoyed from my 10+ years old Proton Waja hahaha
