I found her face really distracting in 'Oppenheimer'. I always thought she had such an elegant aristocratic face, but with such broad cheeks now she just doesn't look like the same person anymore. I wonder if a facelift without cheek implants could have made her look more youthful without altering her face shape so much
I thought she was unrecognizable in Oppenheimer. Recently I watched her in Pain Hustlers and I kept thinking it was Naomi Watts! I thoguth she looked her best in The Devil Wears Prada. So many actresses were already exceptionally good looking before they had unncessary plastic surgery. It just goes to show you how insecure they are.
omg i just commented the same thing and then saw your comment too -- for a while i thought i had a distorted view of the movie screen thanks to my awful front-row neck-breaking seats, but i realized that she definitely looked completely different. disappointing, her natural face is so pretty!!
Sameee. Was watching Oppenheimer and was just staring at her cheeks. Her face looked so wide and strange. 😭 This obsession with big cheekbones is getting out of hand. Seems like Emily, Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez just to name a few, has them and I think all of them look so wide and abnormal in the face. This trend needs to go.
The most recent procedure to her face has aged her 10 years. I know it's tough being an "aging' actress in her industry, which is youth-obsessed, but her natural beauty seems to be slowly disappearing like some famous actresses who ruined their faces with too many PS.
Exactly, she looks older and her face is so wide compared to before that I find it distracting. Sad really, she looked so beautiful before those cheek implants and fillers
I was literally about to post nearly the same thing. She is getting the Jennifer Coolidge look. Just the look of an aging lady that is desperate to keep from doing so and yet somehow looks all the older for it. She is only 40! Just, WHY??
The problem is that "natural beauty" naturally fades and disappears, and natural aging often makes people look unrecognizable compared to how they looked in their prime. A naturally aged face does not often look like your high school face with an overlay of wrinkles. Perfect sunscreen and retinol use does nothing for the fat redistribution that comes with menopause, for example, or natural muscle loss and bone loss, So many celebrities get deep tweaks to counter this aging, but then leave a lot of surface wrinkles to look "natural", to the point that what's really natural can be lost on us. I don't blame celebrities for getting scared into procedures when they truly start looking different.
@@saram3156I’ve rarely seen a person at 40 who looked like an entirely different person than themselves in high school. Without modifications the average person looks the same but with a bit less volume and tightness. These procedures are what makes people look unrecognizable and it seems like once you start getting them you just have to keep getting more to find your face again.
The filler and cheek implants ruined her look. She had a beautiful, timeless, very English look before. She should definitely get all of that dissolved and the implants removed and instead get a mini lift to remove the stretched out skin from the surgery and years of filler.
I don't think the procedures have 'ruined' her look. She still looks beautiful. Just more like she's off a Real Housewives show now. Maybe she'll get the cheek implants swapped out for a smaller pair. She looks like she got the same cheeks as Amber Heard. I agree that her 'English' look is so so stunning though, I hope she goes back to it.
@@Gagging4Litfucken agreed. Im kinda okay with her other procedures, but the cheek fillers was just not it and shes steering towards the pillow face phase already which i HOPE she doesnt go that far. 😫
It’s definitely hard to watch your face age. When you’re younger, you think that face is you, and is the only face that will represent you, but of course it’s not. I can only imagine how much more difficult it must be to watch your face begin aging as an actress, when it’s your bread and butter, and your life is really built upon your look. I’ve always liked Emily, and I hope she doesn’t get too carried away, but ultimately it’s her face to do with as she wants.
Only in the human world. When we reach eternity we are young forever ♥️♥️ If you ever hear people’s stories of seeing their deceased loved ones before they pass or people who have had died and come back.. they’re always young when they see them. And even if they never saw them young. Like grandchildren seeing their grandparents and knowing it’s them even tho they never saw them in their 20’s ♥️♥️♥️ Kinda comforting.
I wouldn't have thought she had things done prior to 2018, except maybe botox/lip filler. Now she def does have pillow face. I would just get a face lift and skip the crazy filler/implants.
I was thinking the same... I believe maybe could be because of the shape of the implants? I don't know if they are made especially for the shape of a person or if there is an "standard" implant that's been used in every person but definitely they not look good 😢
I've been waiting for this one. Emily use to be such a natural beauty so it's a shame she messed up with her face so much, watching her in Oppenheimer was so distracting, she would have been one of those women who age so beautifully if she had allowed it but I guess it's not easy in the industry she is part of.
Why do people with rounder face shapes want to remove fat, and people with more angular faces want to add fat? It's certifiably insane. Everyone want to look like someone else and unique beauty is going by the wayside.
Yup. She’s very cool toned. That warm blonde hair clashes so bad. Have you ever seen the photo of her when she’s younger wearing a silver dress with cool brown hair? She looks stunning!
Oh my God, I'm glad someone else thinks this too! I hate the blonde hair on her and wish she would go back to being a brunette. And, yes, go back to her original, natural face.
Completely disagree. Lighter hair looks so warm and natural and lovely on her skin, makes her skin glow. The dark always looked so forced and fake. Maybe she never got a good dark dye job but I think she looks waaaaay better with light brown or blonde hair.
When an actress has very unique facial features, like Emily used to have, it is quite shocking to see sudden changes that have nothing to do with the natural aging process. I used to like her face more before the latest procedures. She looks kind of off, for me. It's like Uma Thurman, she also has a very unique face. Any changes could be a major shock for the public.
This. The previous procedures seem to match her natural features, but the more recent ones make it evident she had work done and its not looking so much like her. I had been wondering what did she had done for a while bc I kept looking at her and thinking "Her face looks unlike her". But at the end of the day, its her body.
@@stephanie6676Yup. Ryan puffed up his cheekbones and it’s not a good look. I can see why he thought it would look better since he has naturally flatter cheekbones. But it suited him. Plus, I’ve noticed that when men get cheek fillers, they start to get a feminized look.

Altough I generally like the outcome of an upper blepharoplasty, it instantly gives everyone the same look. I think it is one of the procedures that really contributes to everyone looking the same.
I agree with you Lorry that Emily's best feature is her beautiful eyes. The colour of them and the actual size of her eyeballs make her eyes piercing in a beautiful way, while not bulging out. To me, Emily gives off an elegance in her mannerisms, which her height and lovely slender figure add to. She dresses in a refined way and has never gone for shock value headlines with overly sexy red carpet outfits. To me, her elegance is what sets her apart from many other actresses.
Totally agree. Apart from being a phenomenal actress and a striking beauty, Emily has fantastic red carpet style. It bewilders me how actors no longer seem to want to look good on the red carpet and rather are attempting to outdo each other as to who can wear the craziest, most shocking looks (many of which look hideous imo lol). Emily is one of those few stars who dresses in classically beautiful outfits which makes her actual beauty shine.
Everyone talking about her talent, but I'm blown away by her ability to overcome stuttering! I've watched MANY of her interviews and appearances. Not once was it evident that she even hesitated in her speech. Kudos.
Am i the only one who thinks she's one of the most beautiful women on the planet and didn't need anything not even the first nose job? her nose was so cute.
I immediately had to google her because I've always thought of her as having such lovely features, and you're right, she looks very different! Maybe a ponytail lift?
She has absolutely had a brow lift - I've never seen a more noticeable one than hers. Early in her career (hell most of her career) her eyebrows were VERY low set. To be fair though, it was well done and looks good
It is THE MOST noticable alteration to a celebrity's face that we've seen in a while let be honest. Its the filler on the cheekbones, it completely threw her facial balance off
When you watch Oppenheimer it seems like she under went the procedure mid production. The older version looks younger because her cheeks just go vrooom and a appear. It's not a prophetic either. I'd of called her out as director and Kevin Spacey'd (like all the money in the world) her out of the film.
Actors rely on miniscule movements in the face to express complex emotions. I'm honestly surprised that many are going so extreme with surgeries in their 20s and 30s....choosing 'youth' over their art in a certain sense. Lorry, I would love to see some beautiful and iconic older actresses - Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, Meryl Streep, Mary Steenbergen, Kathy Bates etc - analysed on this channel! ❤ did they get some subtle work done??
Watching Oppenheimer had me reeling about Emily's face change! Been waiting for you to make this video! I had to google her age... She looks so much older now.
Yay another amazing video!! Those pillow faces are usually another secondary effect of continous face fillers that seem to accumulate/sits over the face through the years. I may be need a bit, but I'd rather wait for a facelift 😅. Lots of love to your amazing content Lorry! ❤❤❤❤❤
The cheek implants can go sooo wrong. Never mess with the structure of your face, unless you are severely lacking, like a very underdeveloped jaw/overbite. Jada pinkett smith did the same thing and it doesn’t look good on her either. My cheekbones stick out like this naturally and I don’t like it so much tbh but learning to like it over time. If it’s natural, it doesn’t look as odd anyway
I really love the extra research you did for this video! The addition of her parents and also the products and treatments she does admit to using is a very nice touch.
Emily Blunt is a very talented actress and was quite beautiful before. The cheek implants in particular are such a shame as they have really altered her face in a very generic way. That and the "pillow face" filler have stolen the uniqueness of her original look. Rhinoplasty is basically a given in Hollywood at this point, which is unnecessary. But its the cheeks and filler that's aesthetically an issue.
I wonder if Jessica Alba has had anything done. I don’t think she has because she literally doesn’t look like she’s aged at all and I know she takes really good care of her skin, but would be an interesting video regardless if she has or hasn’t
Aside from her plastic surgery, I think the blonde hair washes her out quite a lot due to her cool, pale skin tone. I always thought she looked so beautiful with her dark brown and red hair colours because they complemented her colouring far more.
Thanks Lorry for the video, I've been waiting for this analysis! I've felt so disappointed by Emily's obvious PS over the past few years. I thought about why it bothered me so much and realized it was because in my mind she was already a brilliant and successful actress who didn't need to change herself to land roles. I felt like she was in a position to be able to say NO to people who told her to alter herself, but instead she succumbed. The new face is so so distracting and makes it really hard to watch her on the screen. The oversized ultra white teeth, the overly wide face, the lip fillers don't look good on screen and affect the way her face moves, IMO. Even though I'm a big fan of her acting and her cheery and warm personality, her latest projects have been so hard to watch. The ridiculously broad cheek implants also make her eyes look closer together and it's not a good look. TL;DR big fan of Emily as a person and actress but the new look is horrible and makes me sad b/c I thought she had enough power to say NO to Hollywood standards.
After the crazy wide cheeks, those veneers are the most distracting. I also hate the warm blonde hair. She’s very cool toned. That warm blonde hair clashes so bad. Have you ever seen the photo of her when she’s younger wearing a silver dress with cool brown hair? She looks stunning!
I think the side effect to the cheek implants is that it makes her big blue eyes look smaller. Same with Courtney Cox. Love Emily, she’s a great actress!
Hi Lorry 💐 I loved Emily in The Young Victoria, highly recommend seeing the movie. I really preferred her slim face, I think it suited her narrow athletic frame. I have yet to find anyone who looks good with cheek implants. Maybe it's just me but I think they really don't look good 🤷
She's a great actress! She didn't need anything done in the first place!! The industry she's in is much harder on women! Very obsessed with youth! Her talent speaks for itself!❤❤❤😅😅
This makes me wonder if Leonardo DiCaprio has done anything to his face! I would love if you touched on him, because his original face shape has changed sooo much and I find it similar in the way Emily's has
One of the celebrities who should’ve never opted for plastic procedures. Looked the prettiest in 2:06. Her plastic surgery really caused a drastic change in her appearance. I also believe Emily Blunt is a chain smoker. Months back when I checked, she is now aging a lot faster than she was supposed to. She is 40 now but looks 8-9 years older than her actual age.
Lorry you are the best! I have been mind blown with her new look, ever since I saw a red carpet phot of her at the Oppenheimer premiere! I literally "oh my goshed" out loud! I get so excited when I see your face, Lorry! My beautiful TH-cam friend!💕
Lorri, I love your videos! They are always kind and professional, but your analyses helps people to see the reality behind a lot of these celebrity beauties' faces. Also, thank you for sharing beauty product info!
Thank you for this thoughtful analysis! It's so interesting to see how changes in one area affect others, and not always in a positive way. To me, the wider, fuller cheeks make the eyes seem smaller and closer together, which I can't imagine was the desired effect! TBH, I didn't notice any of this while watching her in Oppenheimer. She deserves an Oscar nomination for the many scenes where her expression says it all - Meryl is the only other living actor who could say so much without uttering a word!
She looks absolutely amazing as a redhead, I hope she settles on that colour - she looks striking and stunning with red hair. If I looked that good with one hair colour I would stick to that and not change it up!
In my opinion, prior to the movie Oppenheimer, the only thing she has had done was an orthogonic surgery (she had an obvious underbite). K.Kardashian did the same thing. That surgery alone can transform your face, make your nose smaller, lift your cheeks, etc.because the muscles are no longer pulling in the wrong directions.
@@livvstar at 4:49 definitely a jaw surgery. It looks like it was pulling to the right side as well. 1:40 Also, her lower jaw later became much smaller, and her lip position changed.
She looks like a totally different person. It‘s amazing to see this huge gap between men, who age naturally, and women who look totally weird with all these procedures.
Lorry's video about Tom Cruise is a great example of PS in male celebrities. But I have to say that apart from Emily, the only other celebrity whose appearance really saddens me because it's shifted so far from their natural beauty is Zac Efron, who may have actually hoped to change his boyish face to look more manly
The big irony is... ppl are afraid of aging and losing the way they osed to look like. Only to make procedures that make them lose the way they used to look like... Just not to due aging, but facial distortion. Sad, tbh.
it’s weird cuz u can recognize her but also not- ive watched the devil wears prada and a quiet place close together, but i just now realized they were the same person
This makes so much sense! I watched Oppenheimer the other day and didn't know Emily Blunt was in it. I spent most of the time thinking that whoever the actress was, she looked a lot like Emily, but there was no way it could be Emily because there was something so off/different about her face.
Hi Lorry! Can you do a plastic surgery analysis on Tori Spelling? As far as Emily Blunt, I think she was naturally beautiful & needed no surgery. I don't like the cheek implants. I personally like Emily with dark hair.
Being a long time fan it is very apparent to me her face is different. She has a sister who is a good 'before', they looked so alike-not anymore! * edit: her evolution is much like Courtney Cox imo
Hi Lorry-I’m new to your channel and I love your content and your presentation. Your analyses of your subjects are so interesting and informative. I love that your pieces are so thorough. And you analyze with love. I really like that choice. See you in your next video. Happy holidays to you and your family. 🌲⛄️🎅
I've known Emily was "doing something" to herself for years. She has that look, you know the one. Do people really not see this stuff? Yes, yes, yes, they've had it done!
I have always had problems accepting my big nose, but when I see before and after pictures of people with nose jobs, I feel glad that I never did anything with my nose, as I tend to think people look better in the before pictures. That doesn't mean I think they look bad in the after pics, though.
In Oppenheimer I thought she was wearing a prosthesis because she looked soooo different and since she was playing a character based on a real person, I really thought she was was trying to look like her or it wasnt actually Emily but another actress. So strange!
She’s naturally beautiful and is, in my opinion, too young for such a change, especially one as dramatic as the last procedure she did. Too many artists let the pressure get to them to the point where they end up losing the characteristics that made them charming and unique. Most of them end up a clone of the countless celebrities that underwent the same surgeries before them. Honestly, TV shows and movies get ruined (for me) when an actor has had too much work done. Takes me out of the illusion immediately.
The photo at 7:11 makes it pretty clear that she's been getting lip filler since long before 2018. That and/or the botox to the upper lip that helps it curl less when you smile
Man this is sad I almost did not recognize her in the pain hustlers movie ! She’s always been absolutely stunning it is crazy , but understandable that because of society’s pressure, absolutely gorgeous women push themselves to look like a creepy version of themselves 😊… may they find all the happiness they desire …. Wow she’s only from 1983!!! Wow that surgery did her no judgement!! She looks much older :(
I think the true actresses do not freeze their face. The actors are the camvass. How can they really express emotion when they cant move their forehead? They are sacrificing incredible memorable roles for red carpet photos. I look at Judy Dench. Aged naturally and one of the most versatile believable actresses in the world along with Maggie Smith.

This was very enlightening. Could you do Jessica Chastain? She looks so different to me lately, but I can’t figure out why.
I immediately had to google her because I've always thought of her as having such lovely features, and you're right, she looks very different! Maybe a ponytail lift?
@LoveCrumb I think so. It looks like she has the face-lift scars by her ears.
Botox and fillers, and also lost a lot of weight. She looks very good, but yes she looks almost unreal.
She has absolutely had a brow lift - I've never seen a more noticeable one than hers. Early in her career (hell most of her career) her eyebrows were VERY low set. To be fair though, it was well done and looks good
What about Nicole Kidman who is unrecognisable.
Yass!
Meryl Steep, did. The others don´t know.
Ooh I would be interested in these as well
I honor Lorry's gentle and analytic bent on these celebs procedures.
Thank you love!
If it’s natural, it doesn’t look as odd anyway
i cant agree more
What about men, wouldn’t u agree that it’s almost always more attractive when men have a stronger jaw?
She has a unique look, but at the same time, she looks like Katy Perry.
So glad you are doing plastic surgery analysis videos again 👏🏽
I really love the extra research you did for this video! The addition of her parents and also the products and treatments she does admit to using is a very nice touch.
Thank you for noticing ❤️🥰
@@LorryHill of course :)
👆🏽same! I think she looks like her father.
I get so excited when I see a natural nose on a woman
I wonder if Jessica Alba has had anything done. I don’t think she has because she literally doesn’t look like she’s aged at all and I know she takes really good care of her skin, but would be an interesting video regardless if she has or hasn’t
Omg I’m wondering the same thing. She looks absolutely amazing and she doesn’t have any sign of getting any surgery or fillers.
Yes 2 nose jobs and liposuction when she has babies
@@letmehavemypeace1469not too bad for Hollywood
She is so beautiful I too would love a video on her
Jessica has def had tweaks. Defo!
she looks like a whole different person when she was younger, before the rhinoplasty
Agree. The new cheeks are beyond :(
I totally agree. I also think she would have aged naturally very beautifully.
@@BbGun-lw5vi just googled the silver dress pic. You're so right! Stunning!
The positive is that cheek implants can be removed. Fillers, if she's had them are much more difficult to remove or dissolve.
I think the side effect to the cheek implants is that it makes her big blue eyes look smaller. Same with Courtney Cox. Love Emily, she’s a great actress!
It’s sad when celebrities have so many procedures that they no longer look like themselves. Emily looks like someone else now.
I can't believe we lost a face like hers...
Hi Lorry 💐
I loved Emily in The Young Victoria, highly recommend seeing the movie.
I would love if you touched on him, because his original face shape has changed sooo much and I find it similar in the way Emily's has
Totally agree
I think it’s just weight??
@@darnitthelma4247I think it’s weight, drinking to excess and poor skin care.
@darnitthelma4247@@Natalie_11188 I think it would be silly to assume all of that for men but not for women tbh!
My beautiful TH-cam friend!💕
thank you so much ❤️
She is literally unrecognizable! I would not have known that was her in the recent photos! 😳
Lorri, I love your videos! They are always kind and professional, but your analyses helps people to see the reality behind a lot of these celebrity beauties' faces. Also, thank you for sharing beauty product info!
Thanks so much !!
I just started watching her new movie and I came straight to Lorry to ask for an Emily Blunt video and it’s here!
This is one of those few times that a nose job actually takes away from a person's beauty. In my opinion, her original nose suited her so much better!
Finally someone talking about this, she started looking weird in that jungle film she did with the rock
Her cheek implants look so crazy tho
Darker hair also suits her alot. It makes her look a lot like Katy Perry.
Well that’s your opinion
@@livvstar at 4:49 definitely a jaw surgery. It looks like it was pulling to the right side as well. 1:40 Also, her lower jaw later became much smaller, and her lip position changed.
She looks like a totally different person. It‘s amazing to see this huge gap between men, who age naturally, and women who look totally weird with all these procedures.
Don't be fooled - the men are all over this too. Don't you think it's suspicious that all the middle aged men in Hollywood have a full head of hair 😂
Celebrity men are getting procedures too. It's just not talked about as much, because many people assume men don't get plastic surgery 💜
In Oppenheimer she looked so different. Was literally thinking in the cinema “I hope Lorry does a video on her.” You read my thoughts! 😂
The big irony is... ppl are afraid of aging and losing the way they osed to look like. Only to make procedures that make them lose the way they used to look like... Just not to due aging, but facial distortion. Sad, tbh.
Thank you for this. I saw EB in a movie called Pain Killer and thought she looked so different and thought: why? now we know why
This channel is entertaining! It’s my go to channel when I’m looking to find out about celebrity cosmetic changes!
yassss my favorite kind of lorry vid!
it’s weird cuz u can recognize her but also not- ive watched the devil wears prada and a quiet place close together, but i just now realized they were the same person
She looks completely different. 😔
Lorry I’ll support all your videos but I really, reallyyy prefer these vids! It’s why I found and subbed to your channel! ❤
This makes so much sense! I watched Oppenheimer the other day and didn't know Emily Blunt was in it. I spent most of the time thinking that whoever the actress was, she looked a lot like Emily, but there was no way it could be Emily because there was something so off/different about her face.
Also the cheek width either side makes the eyes look closer together. Just my opinion.
Hi Lorry! Can you do a plastic surgery analysis on Tori Spelling? As far as Emily Blunt, I think she was naturally beautiful & needed no surgery. I don't like the cheek implants. I personally like Emily with dark hair.
I think there is already a video on Tori!
It's also the blond hair colour that washes her out and ages her even more. She used to look gorgeous as a brunette.
I knew she looked different on the Pain Killer movie. Hardly recognized her without her accent and face challenges.
Lorry’s celebrity analysis videos are BACK!👊🏽
Great video! Can you do a video about Jennifer Garner?
Being a long time fan it is very apparent to me her face is different.
She has a sister who is a good 'before', they looked so alike-not anymore!
* edit: her evolution is much like Courtney Cox imo
Hi, Lorry! You have become much more kind in your videos. I really enjoy you now!
Thank you, I am sure this channel has change a lot of people’s minds, specially young ones ❤️ God bless your soul ❤️
Thank you so much ❤️
wow, I didn't realise she'd had so much work. Shame they feel they have to do that but she's still one of the greatest actresses of all time.
Nothing gets past you, Lorry!! You have a good eye!❤
Hi Lorry-I’m new to your channel and I love your content and your presentation. Your analyses of your subjects are so interesting and informative. I love that your pieces are so thorough. And you analyze with love. I really like that choice. See you in your next video. Happy holidays to you and your family.
🌲⛄️🎅
Welcome and thank you !!
Would love to see Amal Clooney!
she def got a refresher, it turned well
I'm very confused why you said "This isn't a sponsorship" before you started reading an advertisement for that pearl medical thing?
In Oppenheimer I thought she was wearing a prosthesis because she looked soooo different and since she was playing a character based on a real person, I really thought she was was trying to look like her or it wasnt actually Emily but another actress. So strange!
Yes, you're back, girl! 🥰🫶
I noticed Emily’s new face about 2 months ago. I was horrified.
Yesss!! I have been waiting for this video for a Long Time. Thank you so much! ❤
Wonderfully researched video as always!
Thank you !!
Lorry, So glad to see you are making your PS analysis videos again! ❤
She literally looked so beautiful before the last work
The photo at 7:11 makes it pretty clear that she's been getting lip filler since long before 2018. That and/or the botox to the upper lip that helps it curl less when you smile
She was so unusual and captivating and now she looks like a soccer mom. Like everyone else
Just saw her in Pain Hustlers and I couldn't believe what she's done to her face. Just wow.
I've actually been waiting for you to talk about this Lorry so thank you for covering!!
Man this is sad I almost did not recognize her in the pain hustlers movie ! She’s always been absolutely stunning it is crazy , but understandable that because of society’s pressure, absolutely gorgeous women push themselves to look like a creepy version of themselves 😊… may they find all the happiness they desire
….
Wow she’s only from 1983!!! Wow that surgery did her no judgement!! She looks much older :(
so glad you still do these videos for us! thank you
Very good video. I do think she looks so much better with darker hair. The blonde completely washes her out.
Love your videos! Thank you for all the hard work you put into them.
She looks so much like Katy Perry with dark hair.
