I hate the way society has made men feel like they can’t emote or express themselves. Gay men are the first to dismiss those expectations (when society hates you anyway, what’s to lose?) so I really wish the general male population can feel safer in being true to their emotions
Lol As a woman I seriously envy straight men because they seem to have more control over showing their emotions. Even if it’s because you have to force yourself to hold it all in because of society, I think it’s better. Better for self preservation to never put your cards on the table.

that's such an unfortunate way to think... sure control is nice but in straight men its more like an ingrained fear or being seen as weak. I honestly think being able to show your emotions at the right time and express how you feel is more important than never showing anything. So, i guess control but in a healthy way. Nobody should have to hold in what they feel and it's quite sad that straight men feel they have to and that women get shamed or a bad rep (bitchy or over dramatic) when they express themselves.
