Thank You, Moms!
You two are amazing! Safe travels on your journey. Memories will definitely be made. So proud of you.
You two gals get out there and kick some butt in a week! Establishing a memory will never forget nor regret
Lead paint chips in your coffee .... yum yum !! 😁😁
Fair winds! and best of luck! I expect you will find a routine that works for you as the days pass on the way to Alaska and the rhythm of that routine will bring a sense of comfort.
The new main looks great! Good luck in the R2AK!!!!
We love it so much!! See you guys in Victoria?
See you in PT!
Wednesday June12. 9:21 pm. Sitting here on Thieves bay on Pender Island. Hoping to see you go by in the next hour!👍👍
Classic! hilarious comments. Maybe a sheet of semi rigid plastic or similar for the sail storage, makes it easy to slide forwards and acts as a lift able lid for getting to stuff underneath
The mental game of sailing long distances, through the night, bad weather, being cold etc. I never really knew how much it messes with you. Even cruising and doing a night shift is tough. Being left with a mind without distractions is VERY different. We get used to so much noise.
Enjoy this trip to its fullest! Embrace the highs and lows. Please share your honest feelings as it take us along with you…not physically lol.
KICK ASS TEAM ORCA!!!

Gratulerer. :-)
love the rocking technique! basically flapping your wings! maybe if you had a trapeze could just swing and just use your legs?
Loving your adventure. Good luck!!
Good job, ladies. You make me laugh- no cutlery😆. Don’t worry about your life choices. They are awesome!Good luck, I’ll be watching and cheering you on 😊
Go getem -- see you in Ketchikan.
OMG Great video, so much going on....first the scenery looks amazing! Love the new fighter pilot sunglasses, they look very effective. your rowing rig is crazy good, seams to work very well. I think you 2 will crush the race, just keep going and pushing!
Great job and you should be very proud of yourselves!
Haha yes my SunGod speed glasses for racing !! Thank you so much, we appreciate the encouragement!
Memories will be awesome. Great job. Thanks for sharing :)
No wonder you have a headache ... the boom keeps hitting the back of your head at 18:44 LOL LOL
The “no” when the barista asked if she should use Gatorade instead of water 😂😅😝 how could such a thing even be suggested!!
Really liked the solar panel that works as a small bimini. On a positive note, weather should be better by race time (later into the season).
I am so so happy with our lightleaf set up! The adjustable clamps make it super easy to maneuver too. And a bonus to have shade:)
That was really cool to see, OMG that’s hard but I never thought it would be easy. Hopefully your list gets you better prepared and more comfortable. Fantastic work you two and wishing you all the best! Thanks so much!
Looking forward to seeing the start of the race! Good luck you guys!!
Inspired and following your race from La Cruz, Mexico!
AWESOME!
one gatorade espresso please!
actually where I live (new zealand) you can get a powdered energy drink thing that is electrolytes, glucose and caffeine. at the supermarket
Love this channel. Good luck for the race, 🤞
Go team!!
Wooohooo go team, so excited for you. 🙂
Thank you!!
I think you should outboard the oar locks further, should give wider stroke angle
The girl with the blue jacket at the end of the vid looks really familiar...have you put out other videos...?...Good luck with your adventure...!
The girl in the blue jacket is me? Haha!
I guess you don't have a topping lift that you could use instead of the main halyard. You might be able to rig an additional external halyard in time for the race. Good luck on the race.
Your comment inspired us to come up with a solution to add an external topping lift. Splicing it right now. Thank you!
@@AllAboutSpray I am so happy to hear that. You're welcome. My other idea (that is probably less doable before the race) is to put an oarlock on the transom so you could use one of the oars as a sculling oar. I don't know if you have space with everything else going on back there. It wouldn't be as efficient as rowing but might give you something you could pop on quick and be a different range of motion for tired rowing mussels. It would be good for tight spaces when the oars out the side can be awkward. And if you lose or break an oar you could still scull with one.
One more comment, perhaps two sets of oars and a tiller pilot. That way both can row at half the effort and you can get through the tidal passes more quickly. I know it's to short notice but it's just a thought 🤔
We have two sets of oars! And yes a tiller pilot was on my mind a lot. I’m not really sure if we are set up with enough power to reliably use it?
Keep going ladies!! ❤. Would love to know more about your solar system. I have a Pacific Seacraft - Flicka 20 (super blue water compact cruiser), so small everything is critical. Is the Leaflight flexible? Is there an episode about it? Best of luck on your adventure
Thank you! flickas are super cool boats! I don’t have a specific episode about this panel, but do talk about it 2 videos ago. They are lightweight rigid panels, super robust. From my experience a rigid panel outlives a flexible panel by years! Worth every penny. I also have a blog about it installed on Orca here:

@@AllAboutSpray Thanks for speedy reply. Will check episodes! Keep on keeping on..!😄
Well… race is coming up fast. But there’s got to be some rowing club nearby you can get to come help you with technique. Doesn’t hurt to send out an email or better yet show up to something and ask around
We probably should have prioritized this months ago! Too late now, we leave in two days!
Hahahaha... "Oh I didn't add water!"
Haha I’m not tired at all 😂
😂🤣
What kind of coffee maker do you have? I want one
It’s an Outin! We are pretty excited to have good coffee aboard
Good luck next week...and people, what is wrong with you?... over 2000 views but only 200 likes, what's up with that??
