- Team Sail Like A Girl put their saltwater know-how to the test as they navigated their way through North America's longest human and wind-powered race - Race to Alaska. The wild waters that stretch between Port Townsend, Washington and Ketchikan, Alaska are notorious for their squalls and tidal currents running upwards of 20 miles an hour. In the spirit of lawless self-reliance, we’re reliving Team Sail Like A Girl’s 2019 adventure through the Inside Passage.

You ladies did a wonderful job!
You.might have gotten away with sailing with a reefed main and no jib, after the spreader broke, but whe it comes to good seawomanship (or seamanship), caution is king.

Does anybody know which Class (as in boattype) they are sailing?
Team Sail Like A Girl sailed a Melges 32. There are no classes in Race to Alaska.
Utterly badass
Doing that with 2kcal/day would waste me down to nothing in a week.
Why is it always about gender? It's a sailing race with no place for misandrist attitudes.
Conversely it's all about sailing...nature....skill set or lack thereof and has absolutely nothing
to do with one's gender. Just saying....Have a nice day.
